Predictable at times but ok. Nice read for a rainy day. There are times that the main female character was exasperating. She jumps to all kinds of conclusions. It was kind of annoying. But what a sweetheart he was.

I particularly like this author because, like so many American author's, there is very little sex in them. In Regency times this was not spoken of although it may have gone on. I would like to have a list of her books, I think they while away the time beautifully. patricia.roper2

Cheryl,s books are always a delight to read. I would like to have a list of them if possible. [email protected] (NZ)

Enough action and excitement to keep the pages turning. Real characters that create excellent scenes . I love the Victorian era and this book didn't disappoint. You definitely want to read this one.

The Bride Wore Blue was very exciting from beginning to end. Each character was just right. The romance was thrilling. True love triumphs over evil. Every part was truly believable. It kept the reader tense to see how the villain would make his move, and how the hero would save his lady love from the deceitful Coronal. The romance was tastefully done. Great read

The book had several grammar -spelling - mistakes in sentences that interrupted my reading. None the less, I enjoyed the tale. The sex scenes were less explicit than many writers place in romantic stories. I appreciated that. The orangery was an excellent part of the suitor's character and income. Minor points related to historical Bath, nobility, London, and India added to the setting. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to readers who recognize the period and background applied to the book

The lovely widow, the young man she rescued several years ago, and the evil and slightly off balance man. You have a mixture that is going to lead to a fascinating romp through Bath in the 1800's.
The characters are well brought into a charming conclusion of love and a new family formed that will endure and grow together over the future.
I recommend this book to you.

I have read the reviews about The Bride Wore Blue. I found this book to be an easy read. I thought the characters were believable and the suspense kept me reading. I do not like the female characters to be weak and I didn't find this one to be. I didn't think the love scene was believable. Otherwise a good read.

This book, The Bride Wore Blue, part of The Brides of Bath Book 1 is one of the best historical romance books that I've read in a lone time. This book is a real page turner and I just couldn't put it down. I am looking forward to reading more from The Bride of Bath Series. I enjoy how Ms. Bolen developed the characters and some of the dialogue was funny.

I enjoyed the story of Felicity and Thomas. Anytime a story has me trying to yell some sense into a character I am truly engaged in the story. Looking forward to book 2. I highly recommend this book to regency romance fans who love well defined characters and a bit of drama thrown in for good measure.

A lovely romance, well written and a joy to read. He comes to Bath to find the woman he has been in love with for 6 years. She saved his life just before she married as nd never learned his name. There is a villain and a couple of heroes, lovely ladies and handsome men, mistakes and jealousy that all go to making a well told story.

I really enjoyed this book! The twists and turns keep me interested and I was quite surprised several times. The author obviously did some research before writing, as the setting is very believable. The characters are well thought out and I enjoyed the struggles they go through. I will be looking for more books by this author.

While I felt the plot was predictable, I still enjoyed the book due to it's steady pace and the effort taken by the author to fully develop the characters in the book. I had difficulty relating to certain parts due to the time and place that the book was based on, but it was still a good read to me.

Although the start of the story really ties in with what later happens, it doesn't seem to for a long time, making the story interesting. It's a good read, but rather sad if you know ahead of time what happens to one of the beloved characters in another book in this series. The plot and characters are fun, if exasperating, to follow as romance unfolds and a madman complicates the path of love.

Historical fiction is another of my favorite genres. The dresses and the customs of that time are romantic. Of course there is always a mix-up or someone loves someone who doesn't love him or her. Anyway the tension makes the story fun.

Very interesting book dealing with several things in life. Heartbreak, love, loss, betrayal and finding love once again. Alternated between thoughts of several people and how they cope and handle life. Check it out. Paa

The Bride Wore Blue has it all. Laughter, suspense, romance, history, interfering, and uniting of family. Cheryl has done it again once you start reading you can not put it down. I loved it and would recommend it for anyone with the stipulation to have time to read it.

I love historical romance but this story is too unrealistic. In a matter of 5 or 6 years a poor young man makes his fortune in India (some how!) and comes back to England to buy the estate of a now impoverished aristocratic family. It is enjoyable if you just want escapism.

In the tradition of Darcy and Elizabeth, Bolen turns the tables. The hero is a Canon who feels unworthy of the heroine, one of the ton. Her pride gets in the way of their happily ever after time and again. There are a couple villains in the piece, but all ends well. If you favor regency romances, Bolen and her works are well worth your time to read.

As in all Cheryl Bolen's books the characters are delightful with the shady character thrown in of course , the story line into the lives of Regency England takes you through the ups and downs of two sets of young people finding their way to each
other. Cheryl certainly knows how to bring to lives and loves , just in time.

Written with a witty flair for convention in the days of Lords and Earls. The plot to bring true love to Felicity is interwoven with her burden to her siblings. The grand finale is great. Thank you DS

I love a great historical love story, and this is a must read. It's filled with action and adventure. I stayed on the edge of my seat, especially at the last half of the book. I can get a full night's sleep now that I have finished this beautiful love story. Goodnight:))

The Bride Wore Blue was a good Regency romance. The characters and the plot were believable and the interesting. I enjoyed that it was set in Bath, one of my favorite English cities. I plan to acquire the other books in the series in the near future. If you like the genre, you will enjoy this read.

Loved reading this book but then Cheryl always does a good job of keeping me intent on turning the next page! Felicity was a hard ut to crack, not believing in her own charms she always found a different reason for men paying attention to her, even when her brother & sister told her she was beautiful and nicer than others, including her 'friend'
