As I continue with these characters that I have come to know and respect I am still looking forward to the many new and exciting characteristics that each character reveals! I am truly grateful for this new and exciting series!

With Book #3, Dannika Dark once again weaves a masterful story filled with intrigue, deception, heroism and romance. Silver is starting to get the hang of her new life, though the universe sure is throwing things at her along the way. A strong urban fantasy, Impulse will leave you begging for more.

We waited for months for Dannika to bring this to press, and it is WELL worth it!
This is a book of substance. Character development is excellent, and, within the series, the Team is maturing, growing in their acceptance and understanding of each other. Silver is still fighting old prejudices of women's roles, but Justus, Simon, & Adam are beginning to accept that she's not a trinket or a prize. Logan & Novis never had that problem, and new team-member Christian brings a whole new perspective. He wants Silver to be all she can be. He'll protect her, and support her, but he wants her to reach within herself & discover ALL her Gifts. I'm entranced with this new thread, look forward to it's development & hope Christian stays in the mix. Then there's Page, another strong woman who I hope stays present. This could get verrrry interesting!
I loved learning more about Justus, he became more real to me, more of a person than an icon. Adam's injuries, and his reaction to them dismayed me, and I hope we see healing coming in that quarter. He could be a strong force in the Breed World. Had to delete the next sentence so I don't give anything away. ;-) Now Nero has made his rebellion/contempt public to the Breed - can he be openly pursued? Is it possible to take the little tyrant out?
I like finding out more of the back story on Silver's creation. But all has not yet been revealed!
Silver is the focal point for many old plots & grudges. Will her Light shine into the dark corners, exposing all to the purifying Light that heals? Can she unravel the tangled webs woven by others?
*sigh .... Stay tuned.

Dannika has created this whole new paranormal species that really makes me remember why I love paranormal books in the first place. She has such a great creativity that you can truly see when reading these books. I have read all of her books and definitely look forward to reading whatever she releases in the future.

Dannika Dark keeps you guessing with each turn of the page in this series. After you put down one book, you want the next in the line of the series. She makes you laugh with the characters and at some points, makes you want to cry. A must read for those who enjoy supernatural novels.

In this third installment of the Mageri series, Silver's adventures in the Breed continues with more intrigue, romance and witty conversations. Dannika revels more about those who surround Silver and in the end, who is friend or foe. Don't forget the tissues! This one won't disappoint.

This was my favorite book in the series- it finally gives some momentum to Silver's relationship with Logan. This is a fun series where you like all the characters not in spite of their flaws, but because of them. I enjoy the story development and am looking forward to book 4.

I enjoyed the next installment to the series very much. Its was more of a background and character building type of story. Enjoyable to read because of the inter play among the characters. Some insight was given into the council members and their role in this mageri society.

Cleverly written with comic relief that makes me laugh outloud. Kept me on my toes wanting for more. I love that what I think will happen is not what happens. Looking forward to continuing the series.

Learner, Silver, her would be lover Logan, Justus, Simon, Adam, Novis all continue their stories. We continue looking for the rotten Nero and uncover some awful truths about Silvers past. A damn good read. Looking forward to the fourth book

Well, things certainly start picking up in Impulse, and overall it's an improvement over Twist.
Starting off with the good, Silver's snarky side was in evidence throughout the book and made me snicker more than once. And yet, despite this, Silver also seemed a lot less scattered in terms of how she related to the people around her. Certainly her relationship with Logan remained conflicted, but for this installment her struggle with her feelings felt a lot more genuine and her regard for the consequences of her actions on others seemed more sincere, making it easier to respect her and care about what happens to her. Maybe best of all, no more changing one letter of an existing word without trying to change the actual meaning. I was actually glad that the new addition to the team was a vampire, so that the focus could stay on the plot rather than a shallow bid to make a different type of critter.
Still, my biggest complaint from Twist was the inconsistency, or perhaps incongruity, between what characters claimed and what they actually did. Okay, there's been significant progress with Silver in this area, but what about Logan? We respect women, sure, that's why we give them no right to refuse to let some guy spray them, and then force them to travel alone with said guy even though he's threatened to kill her before. No contradiction there. Also, given that Silver is the protagonist here, it's frustrating that she still depends on the male characters to bail her out of trouble most of the time, although she does at least manage to beat off a human who tries to take advantage of her at a bar. It's progress.
There's a lot to like here, there really is, and overall I found Impulse easy and enjoyable to read, perhaps all the more so because I was worried that it would be too much like Twist. While I do still have some complaints, the good outweighs the bad and I hope to see continued development in the next installment.

As the series goes on, I usually think to myself, "Wow, the author should really stop after this." I'm pleasantly surpirsed to say I was looking forward to the next book in the series. And more of Mr. Cross.

Simply put I freaking loved this book! I've never written a review before, but this book definitely deserves the time and effort put into writing one. I laughed hysterically, sobbed uncontrollably, and swooned at super steamy parts. Ms. Dark does an amazing job of creating lovable characters. I have to admit I was not a huge Logan fan at the end of book two, unlike so many of my fellow Mageri series fans, but I've grown to love him in this installment. All of the characters are amazing in their own ways. Impulse is a must read!

Everything about this story is to be loved! The characters are all "Unique" just like Silver. The romance is a tear jerker and the passion is so there! Dannika Dark is a genius at capturing the story behind each character and I can't wait for the next book in the series. A must read!!

I like the world and even some of the characters. I just can't stand the main character. She acts like she's 15 and not the 30 she is. She always seems to make the wrong choice and never listens to anyone. This might be ok if her judgment was worth anything but its not. How many times is it gonna take of her getting attacked and kidnapped before she's going to learn to just stay in the house when she's told?
Also why hasn't her teacher ever mentioned behavior around other breeds?

Excellent writing, but I wasn't sold on the character development. I enjoy these books, but I just can't believe that a facial deformity would spin one character into a hateful downward spiral, or that the protagonist would see no value in the vampire who helped her many times, or that a quiet woman living in a dungeon would become attracted to her rapist. I'm not really into romance novels, and this one certainly felt like it was half romance, half story. I've also noticed a trend in recent writing where there are no females in the books... or there is one main female or love interest, and that's about it. I was hoping for more strong females in this book, but there is only one: the protagonist. Other than that, ever other main character is male, except for a quick scene or two with a woman who is a sex object or a villain. This is the last book for me in the series, unfortunately.

I loved this book! Dannika covered so much ground for me and created the path for even more. Not everything in life is easy for Silver. She once again gets herself into tons of trouble and doesn't always play by the rules. However, the protecting men in her life are there to help. I fell in love with characters that I've been iffy about in the first two books. We get a better look into why Justus is well, Justus, and I love that. I questioned another character when he was introduced and I totally love him now. This book wasn't predictable throughout and I appreciate that as well. I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for some wonderful dark urban fantasy that isn't YA... I love the fact that I can read about a character my own age. Fall in love with some Mageri men, Chitahs, Vampires and so much more as Silver lives, learns and makes a few mistakes along the way. you'll laugh out loud, smile and maybe even shed a tear or two like I did. Wonderful book, wonderful series and very well written!!
