Tough, uncompromising hero, ruthless with his enemies but with just enough humanity left to make him basically a good guy. The plot is clearly a 'pilot' and the stories will presumably keep coming. The writing is good, terse and compelling. A real white knuckle ride.Love this book and love all the books in this series.

The story suffers each time the author uses a British term instead of an American one. Examples: should be acres not hectares, should be zero to 60 not naught to 60, should be letter size paper not A4. I am available as a proofreader. [email protected]

Bought this book following a Kindle recommendation. Whatever algorithm they use for recommendations entirely missed the mark.
Unbelievable, I paid $0.99 and feel I wasted my money.
---------- spoilers-------------
Bad guys are rich corporate titans (of the Boston Brahmin type) that want to solve global warming by killing the "excess" population. Good guy is an ex-military type who is controlled by blind rage; even kills his brother out of spite. In other words, cartoonist characters that are used as an excuse for promoting a leftist point of view.
This is a crass commercial effort by a leftist author who wants to ride the coattails of legitimate thriller writers. It's even an incomplete effort; ends in a made up cliffhanger designed to make you "want" to buy the next book in the series

I chose this book because of the continued action. Books like this usually catch my eye while searching for reading material. The only thing I didn't like was now I'm hooked on another series. If you are someone who love a well written action novel then this is for you.

Great story. Only compliant is use of uncommon words when more commonly known words would mean the same thing. most of your readers are not English majors. Only happened a few times, but still distracting.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. What was even better was the twist of the plot at the end of the book. I will definitely read a few more of this authors books to see character development and plot.

Lacklan Walker, ex British SAS is highly skilled. That would be an understatement. He's deadly. His extremely wealthy Bostonian family he is estranged from. He hasn't spoken to his father in year's. Suddenly he is summoned. His father wants to speak to him. He's dying. Lacklan reluctantly agrees. His father and brother are part of an organization of extremely wealthy and powerful people who believe overpopulation is killing our world as we know it. They will stop at nothing to shrink and control the population. This is an extremely fast paced action thriller full of deceit and misdirection towards Lacklan. A fantastic read!

Liked the action and the intrigue. I feel that for someone who has had drilled into them the importance of having a plan
his anger seems to override his capacity to "think" a situation through or see what might be behind the
curtain,so to speak
