Fatal Justice was a fast read simply because it kept me engaged. The character development of the protagonist was excellent as it made me want to kill him , too. If you need a quick, witty escape for a couple afternoons, this is the book to read!

I would have enjoyed this story more if the author didn't irritate the heck out of me by constantly using the word "then" when it called for "than." There is really nothing more irritating to someone who avidly reads, than a WRITER who does not have a good grasp on English.
For example: "We would rather have pancakes then waffles." WRONG! :Better you then me." WRONG! "We would rather have pancakes THAN waffles." CORRECT! "Better you THAN me!" CORRECT!
If you're going to make a career out of writing LEARN YOUR LANGUAGE!!!! You could have had a nice review, but I could NOT look past that most IRRITATING mistake that was made EVERY SINGLE TIME it came up. You didn't get it right ONE TIME, NOT ONCE!

The way he murdered people and then prayed was just weird. He seemed to have no remorse at all about killing, but did about other rather minor things. I think they are both psychopaths. The bar scene with the whole bar defending the dirty old woman was also strange and not realistic. The hero and heroine are psychopathic, adulterous murderers who talked about a faith and a prayer life. The choking and sex scene was bizarre and disgusting. The ending was totally out of place, as if a part of another book was cut and pasted into this one. The conflicting morals and strange sexual games was very off-putting. I was surprised and disappointed. I have read much better books by this author.

What happens when a super bad mobster turns up in town with two of his thugs? If it is in a town where a bad-*** sheriff, who is also undercover government intel, things can get ugly. Under the tough exterior there is a vulnerable, heart-broken human with a story that I hope will continue in sequels. This book will appeal to many, but especially men, I think. Due to the very descriptive "assets" of the "hero's" off and on again girlfriend, the lack of and enhances body parts of the men, descriptions of the "gasp" murders and so on. Why is Sheriff so protective of the cute little waitress in the local bar? Read the book to find out! My only complaint, as a former proof-reader, is that there are grammar errors in the book using "then" instead of "than", the wrong "there", "their"... I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book, through Reading Deals, so I could give an honest review.

First sentence grabbed me. Loved the opening. After the opening, we learn more about our main character Jack. Jack Lamburt is the small town sheriff in upstate New York taking care of justice his way.
The second chapter explains the sheriff is lenient on drunk driving after closing of bars. And not really sure what type of police work he does in the quiet town. Or if anyone patrols the town with him.
By the third chapter we learn more of Jack's third job. This job he takes more seriously. Word gets back to Jack of three mobsters in his territory. During his recon of watching these three men at the local bar things heat up. And it doesn't stop until end of the book.
The main character left a few loose ends to bring more action. We even got a few chapters with other characters in the book to get a glimpse of their mindset. The end we find out about his German Shepherd and back story on a past love affair.
Missed getting a glimpse of the next book in this series. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review. Fatal Justice produced excitement peppered with sex appeal.

In enjoyed reading FATAL JUSTICE ... The main character, Jack Lambert, is an example of one who seems to take justice into his own hands. The characters were believable and the pace was quick. Some of the action was imaginative and brought out skills and determination that characters never would have known they possessed if they had not be placed in certain situations. Some events were surprising and I really was not ready for the book to end. The author certainly left space to continue. I liked to book and would probably read "the rest of the story."
I received this book free of charge through Reading Deals with the promise to give an honest book review.

Fatal Justice was an incredible read that made me laugh and I did not want to put the book down. I loved the characters, the plot, and let's just say that the compromising position that Jack Lambert found his girlfriend in with the other man, and her comment during the surprise was priceless. I think you have to read the book for this scene alone. Strong women and men with a sense of humor really do mix. I cannot wait to read the rest in the series!

I enjoyed this book very much. When three strangers in town come to the local watering hole and start harassing one of the waitresses, things are bound to go bad. And they quickly do. After reading this, a preview of Airplane Down was given, and I think that one should be read before starting on this series. Not that it makes a difference, but there is some backstory there.
For some hard-hitting action, you cant go wrong with this book

An enjoyable first of a new series. A hometown sheriff with the need to remove the country of all bad guys. A little over the top at times, but the character should evolve and become better with each book. I look forward to read the next book.
