there are two books, I loved both, the characters are great and their own stories of love and survival, how they come together. This writer really makes you care about the characters, had me on the edge of my seat!....hopefully there will be a third novel I'll definitely get it if there is,five stars both books

The characters are believable. There is a good amount of action. There is more reality of people in the apocalypse than a lot of other books. Sometimes the actions are a little unbelievable, but this book with these characters keeps making you hope they make it out alive

A good zombie thriller ! I love the vulnerability present in the characters. I enjoyed how the most unlikely of the characters became the most heroic. This book reminds the reader that heroes are not automatically made as such. Heroic deeds make heroes out of everyday people.

Although I found this book very entertaining, I enjoyed the sudden loss of humanity in the first book better. In the second it seems almost anyone can be a hero... Still plan to read the 3rd installment today...

I really liked this book. It was even better than the first. Lots of action, zombies and mayhem but also had some very sad parts too. Spoiler alert, I wanted to strangle Ram myself. For someone supposedly so well trained, he sure messed up a lot. Loved Jillybeans and her little zebra. Highly recommend this book. Hope there is a part 3!

Most apocalypse stories tend to shy away from more graphic details in to the underbelly of humanity. That is one of the many positive aspects of this series. However it's not for everyone and some may take serious offense but if u ignore his early warning and continue to read then you know what your in for.

After enjoying first installment to the series, I was hopeful this book will be equally good. I loved Ram in book 1 so I was really disappointed to see all the stupid decisions and mistakes he has made. It actually made me cringe.
Jellybean is great but I share everyone else's view that her character is not believable - at all.
I also didn't like the culmination point when all of our villains happened to be in the same place, at the same time - I felt like this was very convenient for the author to wrap up his story...
I couldn't honestly recommend this book to anyone.

Very good read. The personalities of the characters really comes to life. I'd like to see a little more in detail about how the new characters got their act(s) togetyher @ the beginning of the apocalypse...

Great book. I love how it shows old hatreds being stirred up in a lawless world. The characaters are very interesting, including the addition of Jillybean, a 6 year old who has somehow survived on her own.

I found this series by accident and have been drawn right in. There are a few minor editing issues, but I do not feel they take away from the story. The characters are fairly well developed and the story flows well. I look forward to the next installment. Keep 'em coming Pete!

This book has made me laugh, cry, and cringe with anger. I've read many apocalyptic zombie novels and this is by far the best series yet. The character development is wonderful and I can't wait to read the next installment.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the first two books of this series. I have to say it has been probably been the best apocalyptic series that I have read in the last two years. Love the character development and converging story lines, exploding into a fiery escape and now I want more.
