Have read a few of Jonathan Kellerman's , Love the Alex Delaware series, Heartbreak Hotel is entertaining, not edge of your seat reading, but a very interesting book. The reviews are pretty much right on.

Kellerman is one of my favourite authors and I was delighted to see that a new release in the Dr Delaware series was available. Comparatively speaking, though, Heartbreak Hotel was disappointing. An interesting plot just didn't seem to come to life in the same way as I had expected from previous mysteries in the series. An average read.

Not the usual Kellerman standard in excellence. Slow and dull plot character development not the usual Kellerman depth. The entire book I found not to be inferior compared to his previous books.

This was a decent read. Good plot, interesting characters, was a little disappointed in the ending as there was such a conspiratorial buildup it seemed kind of lame it was just some old dude and his hot young wife/cousin/whatever that harbored a 70-year-old familiar grudge over a failed jewel heist. Just expected a little grander motivation at the ending. But again, not bad.

Once again Patterson hit a winner in the Alex Delaware series. As always there were many twists that keep the reader entertained and deeply engrossed. I finished the book quickly as I couldn't wait to get to the end to see who all the bad guys were and how they were all connected. Kudos to Patterson! Can't wait to get the next book in this series.

Always enjoy Alex Delaware novels and this was no exception...lots of plot twists and interesting story kept me interested. Maybe not quite as much of a page turner as some but still very entertaining.

I love the interaction between Alex And Milo. They play off each other and Kellerman gives enough detail without becoming too deep. This was a very entertaining story and what is always interesting is how Milo and Alex find the pieces of what seems to be a huge puzzle. There was nothing that I did not like about the book. I love authors who have characters they keep for their books. You get to know them like family.
