This book actually made me cry. I found Trevor to be underserving of Zoe and a total jerk. The part where he asks her if she thinks her being fat is going to turn him off. WTH? He doesn't even say something like, "No, I don't think you're fat!" He makes it seem more like, oh it's okay I'll still sleep with you even though you are. I couldn't stand him. I thought Trevor was rude, undeserving, pathetic, and hurtful. How dare he not go check up on her when she fainted? Seriously?! If he really cared about her at all even in as a friend he would have ran to make sure she was okay. He was so full of himself and the fact that he didn't want anyone to see him with her he couldn't even check on her? No way. I actually had tears in my eyes when Zoe was crying about how she didn't want to be fat anymore. Poor thing.

Only good thing about the book was how relatable Zoe is. Other than that I didn't find it to be romantic at all and I wish she ended up with someone else. PFFT!

I cannot believe someone wrote this and thought it was okay. I am all about freedom of speech and being into frisky and freaky things..but this was just a sad hurtful book. The Bradford hunger/eating thing that was slightly funny in the first book came across as mean in your face eating .The main female who was told she was fat, hidden, shamed, and delevloped a eating disorder in the book doesn't believe he loves her?? What a shock. She shouldn't love him. I hope no woman that might have image or self esteem issues reads this book.Lastly if she looked the way the woman does on the cover then she defently had body image issues /anaxeriea and he was just an egotistical self centered male.

While I enjoyed the humor - and the humor was awesome - there were lots of other things that bugged the hell out of me which is probably why I wish I could be rating this book higher than 3 stars out of 5. The story was very funny, smooth reading, entertaining, but it was also very 2-dimensional with its supporting staff as well as it had a lot of unbelievable things happen that made me shake my head with WTH moments.

If there was better development in the characterization of the supporting cast so that the men didn't come across as clones of each other and if the two main characters didn't have sex every second of the day (and I'm NOT joking about this, it was unrealistic the amount of times they went at it in a day (You'd have thought they were demons!)) I think I would have liked this a lot more.

Right now, what it really has going for itself is the humor because the common sense that is lacking in the female lead is really not there since all she had going for her is to act like a whiny, woe-is-all me, idiotic fool who, when the facts are thrown in her face, just ignores them. I really don't like that type of girl - especially the kind that are all so "insecure" and yet turn around and have the nerve to act all high and mighty afterwards when they're JUST as much in the wrong.

Would I buy other books from this author? Maybe. Probably for the humor though.

One thing I need to point out though, is the cover. The main character is overweight and goes on a diet and then says she lost lots of weight (but never reaches her goal), but if she looks like the girl in the book cover then WTF?!

she is the girl that everyone overlooks because she is short and chubby and plain, so she feels and says. He is the handsome, sexy, hot no holds back kind a man. she has had enough of him making her life hell, then she confronts him and he proposes a deal, clean my house and feed me and ill find you a job. then the benefits reach an agreement and bam!!! sexy time!!! fun, but heartbraking. funny family and boy are the man in this book sexy!! a light read!

It was ok. A bit disappointing for Zoe not becoming better looking after she lost all the weight. I really wanted her to because she deserved it. I love the Bradford men. The first story was excellent; I hope the other stories of them end up with more beautiful women inside and out, they deserve nothing but the best.

I really like Mathewson's prose. Sure writes characters in a way that is quirky, but realistic. They sometimes veer into caricatures of themselves, but I like it.

If you have body shaming issues, this book isn't for you.

If you don't enjoy very obnoxious make leads, none of this series is for you.

If you enjoy slow burns, and characters that grow together over time, you'll enjoy this book.

Totally impressed with this author's ability to write such a bizarre and absolutely hilarious story. The relationships between the main male and female characters are intense and consistently keeps the reader guessing the true direction the story takes.

I would love to meet the Bradford family LOL. If you haven't read Playing For Keeps, you probably should. You will understand more of the inside stories and jokes in this book. I love that Mathewson used a bigger girl for her main character. When you are bigger, it is hard not to think you are not good enough for a good looking man. For this reason alone, I gave this book 5 stars. You want a steamy romance that will having you laugh out loud? Then read the Neighbors From Hell Series. You can't go wrong!

Loved the first Neighbor from Hell book and the second book in the series didn't disappoint me! Trevor and Zoe had me laughing thru most of the book and he's one of my favorite alphas although I think Jason from the first book still has him beat. The Bradfords and their food obsession are a riot. It was great to see Jason and Haley from the first book in this one. I love that the author doesn't make the heroines out to be perfect knockouts but that the guys see how really beautiful they are once they get to know them. Another winner! On to the next book in the series....

There were times when I found myself enjoying this book. When Trevor and zoe where "alone" spending time together that was always nice. SPOILER--- When they weren't together he was thinking about finding his perfect skinny wife, keeping Zoe a secret, and constantly reminding himself she wasn't his type. It was like he was biding his time with Zoe until the right woman came along; of course he came around to realize what he was doing was wrong, that he loved Zoe, and to him she was truly beautiful----but at this point it was too little too late for me.

I never really got involved with the characters. What really turned me off was the idea that the female character was the complete opposite of what perfection is suppose to be, thus it was what the male character, reluctantly, falls for and has to physically fight and justify his reasoning for falling for her (even though she does not have one quality he liked in his perfect female). No one, male or female, is the entire opposite of perfection

Oh Trevor!!! I absolutely love this man. I love how he was so protective of Zoe from the very beginning. He tried so hard to keep to his "plan" of the woman he would marry, but Zoe was so wonderful and worked her way under his skin so wonderfully. I can't wait to hear more from these two. I don't think there is a funnier series with such wonderful characters that make me wish they were my friends.

Loved 'Playing for Keeps' and this is a terrific 2nd book in the series. Liked the way the same premise of the jerk and the loser is given its own twists. Of course he and she grow and become better together as their love grows. Also liked the look into the future with the epilogue. The Bradford family is a riot - funniest I have ever seen in a series. Hugh Jackman is my best choice for casting the hero, since he does macho and romantic comedies so well. So read first book then this one and just try to keep the smile off your face.

I love the Bradfords. Their food obsession makes me laugh. Great addition to the neighbor from Bell series. The characters are warm and inviting. I kind of wish I were a part of that family. Life would never be boring. Just the right amount of spice. If you need a laugh, pick up these books and enjoy the antics of the Bradfords. I did...
Happy reading my fellow bookworms.

I really did find this book entertaining, but it felt much too identical to book 1 - especially Trevor. He was so close to Jason's character, which I can understand in some respects because they are cousins, but many times it felt like I was reading the exact same character. There were many great comical moments, but the female protagonist wasn't as strong this time. In fact, in some ways she came off a bit idiotic. Many, many great laughable moments though and I recommend it for a fun and light hearted read.

I really liked Perfection (A Neighbor from Hell #2) by R.L. Mathewson. In my opinion, it wasn't quite as good as Playing for Keeps (A Neighborfrom Hell #1), but it was still pretty darn good! Perfection is about Zoe and Trevor. Trevor Bradford = another Bradford = sexy, crazy bad boy = Jason Bradford's cousin = the crazy food obsession is back. I must admit that one of the main reasons that I didn't enjoy Perfection quite as much as I enjoyed Playing for Keeps was because I enjoyed Jason and Haley (Playing for Keeps) more than Trevor and Zoe (Perfection). Trevor and Zoe cracked me up and their story was sweet and sexy, but I didn't relate to them as much as I related to Jason and Haley.

Perfection was another original and comical story by R.L. Mathewson. I am really digging Mathewson's stories. Her writing style is clear and easy to read, her stories are relatable and entertaining.

I gave Perfection by R.L. Mathewson 4 STARS. I recommend this novel. There was a sneak peak of A Neighbor from Hell #3 at the end of Perfection. I read it. I loved it. I can't wait to read the whole story!!

PS: When authors use initials I am constantly trying to guess what those initials stand for. I even looked on R.L. Mathewson's website to see if I could figure it out, but I didn't come across it. Agh, my curiosity is gonna drive me crazy!

I absolutely loved this book. I doubt I could say enough words describing my love. Heck, I even bought a copy for a friend of mine in the Marines after reading some to him, even he loved it.

My only issue is that this book could have been priced higher! Which is weird saying that..it's such a gem! Guaranteed to keep you laughing, rolling your eyes, and entertained to the max. I revisit this book in my kindle library at least once every other month.

RL..you're a goddess and I love you

Zoe and Trevor hook up in a unique arrangement that is filled with HOT sex. This part of the story is great. However, my feelings are torn about the main characters. I like Zoe and I appreciate Trevor s looks but he is kind of a womanizing jerk. I didn't particularly care for his attitude towards women. He redeems himself later in the book but he is no Jason (book 1). This book has a few good laughs (again, not like book1) all in all its an entertaining read.

Another great addition to this awesome series.
Trevor and Zoe were just off the charts PERFECT!!!
Laughter, hot sexy times and love.
Loved seeing Jason, Haley and the rest of the Bradford clan.
So looking forward to reading the rest in this series.

Haley & Jason's story was amazing. It was funny, I couldn't put this book down and I loved this two characters from the beginning. Jason's personality was one of a kind and I felt like I knew him personally. I really recommend this story to anyone looking for a good read with not so much drama. I finished this book in a day. It was my favorite book in the Neighbor from Hell Series. :D

I adored Zoe and Trevor. Trevor is a self absorbed ass and it was hysterical sharing his views. Poor frumpy over weight Zoe looses weight, develops some self esteem and leads Trevor on a merry chase. Along the way Trevor grows up and begins to observe other's feelings. What a reality check for both! I laughed, enjoyed and couldn't put it down.

The Bradford men are back! They have an enormous appetite that's nothing but trouble. What did they do to get banned from all buffets, even Vegas and Disney?? These men love food and love their family. They also have something else in common.....they are constantly messing up relationships. Good thing love prevails.

Discovered this author and her books last year and I have enjoyed every one. I would have to say "Perfection" is my favorite and I have read it several times. The Bradford family is hilarious with their food addiction, but so loveable and generous. Zoe is a character many of us can relate with and understand. Love the interaction between Zoe and Trevor. Their relationship grows from one end of the spectrum to the other and it is quirky, which makes it so much fun, however totally believable.

I don't want to give away too much, but if you like "Perfection", then read "Playing for Keeps" which is Jason and Haley's story. Another rollicking good time! Very entertaining and this author is one of my favorites now. Oh, look, she has a new "Neighbor from Hell" book out! Yeah! Gotta go get to reading...

Spoiler alert!! In the first few pages the hero in this story steals her food, steals her washer, and steals the last of her laundry soap. When she calls him on it, he lies and then calls her fat. The selfishness and sense of entitlement he has. To total lack of character will not change. Her perception and acceptance of his lack of character might, but not his innate make-up. Please!

I really like the neighbor from hell series! I love how the characters are connected and how funny it is when they try to stay away from each other but can't stop! There is a theme in the books....love-hate relationships! I like how the main characters are not always picture perfect people! I recommend this series!

I liked this book because Zoe, the lady character, is FAT and SEXY. : )

I can totally relate.

This series, A NEIGHBOR FROM HELL, is a pretty entertaining series. This one, tells about landlord and tenant kind of relationship. But later on, they became friends and lovers.

I fell in love with this book because the man, Trevor, though very handsome as described, found himself falling in love with a fat yet sexy neighbor.

I surely recommend this book.

I absolutely LOVED,LOVED,LOVED this series (Neighbor from Hell). I love RL's writing style and the fabulous humor she puts in her stories. I was laughing out loud and just couldn't put these books down. I am just about finished with Checkmate and I don't want it to end. I will DEFINITELY read more of this writers work. I love the bright and upbeat characters in her stories. The Bradfords are a hoot for sure, put locks on your cupboards. Thanks RL.

Trevor and ZOe live in the same appartment and when Zoe is in need of a job so she does not have to live out of her car Trevor comes to the rescue and gets her a job with his family and soon the arrangements began. I enjoyed how much fun they have and how each couple can learn how to bring fun back in their lives even if things start off as an arrangement.

The characters were fine enough. But this whole stupid premise of the Bradfords, food and their being banished from restaurants was ridiculous, not funny. I have trouble with the bullying from some minor characters as well. Lots of distractions in this story made it disjointed and hard to follow

I hope every Trevor out there realizes that a Zoe is a gift. Your looks are given to you by your parents. Your heart and your soul are yours to define. This lovely romance makes a HOT guy realize that he wasted a lot of time dating and mating with women who had good looks but they were just pretty shells. He finally realizes that a real woman is one who is smart, sassy and has a great heart and is not defined by her looks. Loved the book! Zoe rocks!!!

Perfection is now one of my favorite books.... Trevor is such a dummie in the beginning... making me really wanna smack the crap out of him... the things he says to Zoe just make my heart hurt... the good thing is he pulls his head out of his a** pretty quick and starts to behave himself. This arrangement that he and Zoe make scares me at first, but turns out to be the bases for a wonderful love story!!! I loved how R.L. brought back the characters from Playing For Keeps... since Trevor is related to most of the people in the first book, it just made sense... they make this book flow with so much humor, I almost pee'd my pants a couple of times!!! I was so sad for Zoe and the background that she came from... I just wanted to give her a huge squeeze and tell her all would be ok!!! Those Bradfords sure can intimidate you, but my strong willed Zoe kept strong!!! Funny how we have images in our heads of who or what we think we need or want, but when something so out of our realm is placed in front of us (to be cool) we shrug it off like... whatevah... but in all actuality it's spinning it's web around us... winning our hearts before we even know it's there.... that's how I have to describe this story.... Trevor never knew what hit him when Zoe came to rent his townhouse... She was Heaven wrapped up in this little, curvy spitfire!!! For .99 it was a damn STEAL!!!! Can't wait for #3 and #4 of this series come out... FIVE STARS for sure!!!

A great addition to the addicting Neighbor From Hell series. Zoe and Trevor were enjoyable characters with some pretty complex problems. I felt a bit disconnected from the emotion that I typically crave, causing me to cut one of the stars. But overall, I enjoyed reading their story and look forward to the next.

This book is a little different from what I normally read. I love horror and mystery but also enjoy a light read once in a while.
I don't "do" romances and wouldn't want a steady stream of "boy / girl start out by hating each other, fall in love, and marry".
Generally just too "sweet" for me but this is the second book in the series I have purchased.

This book was hilarious! Yes, the main character, Trevor, was very cocky and self-centered. Aren't most of them 'til the right one comes along? Ok, he was a bit more than others. But it started getting funny how he really believed the things he was telling himself. Kind of in a cute way. This was the first book I read in the series. Not sure if I will read about Jason, but I plan on reading Truce next.

This second book in NFH series made me laugh louder and harder than the first. Her characters are relatable, funny, and the men are just pure lovable jerks! When I was finished it took a few minutes to remember that characters in the book are just that. The only question that has yet to be answered, how exactly DOES one get banned from a restaurant?

Funny, sexy, love story! Second time I read this book & I still loved it & laughed all the way thru. The Bradford family are a different breed!! Don't bring any food near them you won't miss. Because it will be gone before you can blink!! Oh when they love they love for life, so have fun reading about their journey!!

Enjoy!!

This book is FANTASTIC! I loved the first neighbor from hell and this one was even better! I loved Zoe and Trevor and all the Bradford's. It's a total laugh the whole way through the book. So many great one liners...my fave being Best.Tenant.Ever!! Love it. Can't wait to read the next one. I will definately be looking out for this authors other books, I love her incorporation of humor that feels so real to life.

Enjoyed the first two books from the neighbor from hell series. However, I chose to give it only 3 stars because it could have used more editing (mispelled words, etc ).There were also times when phrases or words were repeated so often that I started to get frustrated and loose interest. I appreciated that the books related to each other though and the light hearted humor made me laugh and was a great balance with the genre of book. Unlike other reviews that complained about this humor I really liked it. The steamy parts were great too and they seemed to keep my attention. Will read more books from this author and the next book in this series. I just hope some of the negative things don't ruin them.

I was directed to this title by a discussion board here on the store. It got high praise, but I wasn't sure I'd like it (especially considering the awful cover). I know it's shallow to judge a book by the cover, but I have to admit that I did at first glance. Given that the author has other titles, and this one was only 99 cents, I decided it was worth the risk. I am so glad I did.

I'm not going to summarize, as that's already been done by other reviewers. I loved this book from cover to cover. Even when I wanted to hate the jerk-hero, he made me laugh and fall a little in love with him. The heroine is smart and approachable and someone that I'd really love to be friends with. I think I can honestly say this is the best buck I've ever spent on a book. I could see myself rereading this title, and I'm definitely putting the author's other titles on my list of must reads.
