Truce is my favorite of the Neighbor from Hell series!! I loved reading about how it all started. The reason why Robert thinks he eats so much...to the heartache misunderstandings can cause. R. L. Mathewson does it again! I normally don't like historical romance but Truce was so entertaining, comical, it didn't matter what time frame it took place in. Now, excuse me while I go so I can reread the other Neighbor from Hell stories...

I enjoyed this book very much. Not your normal Neighbor's from He'll book. It was very interesting and showing you the beginning of The Bradford' s and their incredible appetite.
I sometimes wonder how RL Mathewson' s mind works but I don't need to know just like the way it does. What a amazing author!!! Love NFH series and just hope their is more!

Wonderful. I got the book today and read it today. How wonderful. So fun and exciting and involving. I laughed along with their parents as Elizabeth ran with her question thrown over her shoulder, "Too far?"

And I cried when they did.

Just delightful. Good writing, realistic situations, three-dimensional characters, and good pacing. What more could a reader ask for?

Oh, yea...hot romance, too.

As I said above, my bad for not reading carefully enough... I didn't realize this was historical. I have read a few and I liked them but don't love them. So kudos to the author for advising right off the bat she wrote this in a sort of contemporary way, which she absolutely did.

The characters were pretty wonderful and she wrote them with great chemistry. Once they got their act straightened out it was totally swoon worthy.

Another awesome NFH edition. I love those Bradford men! I was so loving the antagonistic relation ship you placed E&R in as children. You just know they were a laugh a minute and drove their parents mad! As with all NFH books I read this book in one sitting. It was so good! Thanks for your effort! It is appreciated! I know you hate to hear that we read it so quickly but it is a true compliment to your awesome writing!

I originally shied away from reading this because it was a historical romance but I so loved the "Neighbors from Hell" series that I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. I loved it! I started reading it after dinner and could not put it down! Truly a great read... I absolutely love the Bradford men! And the women they love are just as great. The witty banter is priceless! And the steamy scenes are ..... HOT! Thank you R L

I was actually quite hesitant about reading this book because of the time period in which the story takes places but I was well please with the characters and the storyline. R.L never disappoints. The story is very charming and the characters are very like-able. Not one moment while reading this book did I scream or curse out the heroine (i hate stupid women). This is a very good read, you won't be disappointed.

Oh my goodness! I loved this story!!!!! With this tale we learned how it all began...the insatiable appetite, marrying quickly and under pressure, the constant bickering. And I loved every second of reading it!! Out of 5 stars, I'd rate this one a solid 406. Robert and Elizabeth were absolutely fabulous together. From childhood hatred to true love, even when true love wasn't fashionable. Don't miss this book!!

This is wonderful, but why not? It had great characters, story, events and it was filled with funny, loving and tender moments at a perfect mix. An you know what? It's not surprising, R.L. Mathewson is awesome author and every single book written is perfect mixture of everything. I feel like I should re-read all the Neighbor from Hell series, that's how much I enjoy this books. So don't hesitate and purchase this book, worth the money guaranteed.

Hilarious, surprising, and a small glimpse back to how the Bradford's ended up in America. It's interesting to see familial traits all the way back to the 1800's. Great read. Laugh out loud funny. Great plot, storyline, and character development.

This explains the Bradford beginning. It is historical but almost modern. Elizabeth and Robert lead each other on a side splitting chase. Actually, it should have been the first in the series. However, I'm glad it was written. Don't miss the funny and entertaining story.

Mathewson does it again! NFH has been my favorite by Matthewson and Truce is no exception! I was unsure about this book b/c I am not a fan of historical romance but it didn't even matter. I loved getting the back story of the Bradfords and I hope we get more in this series! Buy this book for sure!

Love this story line. We finally find out the origins of the Bradford line! Just as cute, funny and sexy as the rest of the series. So entertaining. Always jump when I see one of these books. Hope R.L. keeps the coming. I know there are still several single people in the family so I highly anticipate some more HEAs!!! Please!

Normally I do not like historical romances, however, this one was really good. The characters were great and passionate and deep. It also had quite a few laugh out loud moments, especially with all the pranks between the two main characters. Boy, talk about loveless mariages - the parents were horrible. So glad I missed that time period where a women had no voice at all!

Loved it. I was skeptical because I don't generally read historical romances but this had the exact same hilariously funny romantic feeling as the other NFH books, just set in a different time period. R.L. Mathewson is one of the few authors that I would automatically buy a new book from without even reading the synopsis, I'm guaranteed to love it. Bradford men are the best!

I don't tend to read historical romance, but with the promise of the original Bradford, I couldn't resist! The story was funny, as per the usual, and cute. I adored the characters and their pranks. I appreciated the similarities between the generations of Bradfords and can't wait for future installments of this series!

I absolutely loved this book. I just got it today (10/31) and read it in one sitting.

The whole story was great. I loved the fact antics that Robert and Elizabeth involve themselves in. I was happy to see how the Bradford men became the great men that they are now. I am really excited for the next installment.

Another great story from RL Mathewson. This story is a little different than the others. It's a historical story describing how the Bradford men came to be. It's a fun story to read and it's filled with steamy scenes. Good read.

I loved everything about this book - loved the bantering back and forth, loved seeing the background of the Bradfords (they were eating everything in sight back then, too)- loved it all. Is this a detailed, down-to-the-line accurate historical? No. Is this a wonderful, fun, feel-good love story? YES!

I hope there are more Bradfords!

It was hot in the Orangery (second scene). I will let someone else explain what goes on in the story. This one was tame until toward the end of the story. I thought the end of their story was sweet. Robert gets named 'Robert Lemonade' , because he used to pee in his pants a lot as a child. I thought that was funny. The author pretty much played the historical telling of this story until close to the end. This story has to do with the Bradford men giving their wives their fifth anniversary present (necklace made of stones filled with memories). To me this was worth the read. I say give it a try if you have read the past stories in this series.

This was a great history lesson of the Bradford men. Loved the idea. Glad we got to meet the boys before Robert. Knowing the details of those relationships helps to build this story.
The chemistry between Elizabeth and Robert is hysterical. The love hate relationship is delightful.
Neighbor from Hell series is a hot and funny read. Be sure to read this one.

In the beginning...there was another Bradford man..who drove another woman crazy with his annoying ways and outrageous appetite..and his never-ending love.
This is the story of the original neighbor from hell and the amazing road they traveled to get to each other.

I loved this book. It was humorous, serious. and just an enjoyable read. I loved the hero and heroine. I didn't like the cussing, I thought the book
would have been just as good without it. I will definitely put this book on my favorite books to read list.

Mystery started slow then got very interesting but by the third-quarter it's just hard to drag him out and it was too long for me to continue reading after the conclusion of the relationship between the hero and heroine

Love those Bradford men? Then Truce will leaving you smiling and we finally find out why they have such appetites.

Loved this story looking back at how the Bradfords made their way to America. And in true NFH form...this book will have you laughing while also pulling at your heart strings.

This is my second favorite book of the Neighbor from Hell series. Second to my top favorite being Perfection. Instead of following the contemporary route, I liked that the author took a detour and wrote a historical romance. It was funny and the progression of feelings for Elizabeth and Robert felt so natural.

I loved this novel. It was fun and interesting. The heroine is a little to altruistic at parts which can be annoying because no one is a saint all the time. I liked the hero and found the tricks they played on each fun. Read it in one night when I should have been sleeping so it was definitely a good read.

I love this series. Those Bradford men are outstanding! I was a bit confused with the whole historical romance description but it is absolutely adorable & totally enhances the depth of love for food & other things these men have. The women are strong & I love that too.  It will make you smile, while swooning...

I loved this Neighbor from Hell series since book one....and the Bradford's make a girl just WISH they were real instead of in stories!

This book is true to the series...we revisit Jason and Hailey from book one, but not really (*wink). R.L. Sneakily introduces us to another Bradford ...love it!
