Overall, I enjoyed Knocked Up by Stacey Lynn.
The second book in the Crazy Love series this book is Braxton & Cara's story.
In the main Braxton was a good guy, though there were a few things that he did that really pee'd me off and made me wonder if he really was all in with Cara. When it came to Cara, she was a good character - she was likable and I got where she was coming from for most of the read - but I did wish she'd have either stood up to her folks sooner or have blocked them from her life given everything that they did and stood for.
A good supporting cast, with some cute wee characters, rounded out the book. The story was a bit angsty, hot, had it's sweet moments and, for me, was a little maddening at points...... I'm rating Knocked Up 3.75*

Braxton and Cara certainly don't have your typical one night stand. She's never had one before and the outcome is definitely not what they had planned. This was a fun read as Braxton and Cara learn to maneuver through the very real lesson that plans are often made by fools and real life is what you get when those plans fall apart. The tangled mess of their lives quickly becomes a love story that will have you cheering them on. Of course it will all work out in the end and they will have their HEA, right ?
Stacey Lynn writes characters you will love, and occasionally want to punch, because they are real people. They could easily be your neighbor, your co-worker, or your own family, and even though they aren't you'll wish they were.

Stacey Lynn just delivered the read I have been looking for. Knocked Up was everything I love about contemporary romances. Not to mention surprise pregnancy reads. It was more that just a fluff read but filled with characters who were so likable & relatable.
Her writing style is so easy to get wonderfully lost in. The duel point of view gave each character their own vibe that flowed beautifully throughout the story. I love a great alpha who’s not too alpha-y also. Braxton was a good guy who just happened to be super hot and delicious and Cara was soft spoken while still being independent and strong.
Knocked Up was a perfect read that I would recommend to anyone.

I really quite liked this romance but didn't expect to enjoy it quite so much. Although the premise isn't unique (one night stand leading to pregnancy), I think that the way this was written is what I appreciated about it. I adored Braxton - he was the stand out of this novel. It's impossible not like this character - he's a stand-up guy but with an edge, a complexity. The guy from the wrong side of the tracks falls in love with a wealthy woman with a heart trope is well done here. I really enjoyed this entertaining story! This is the second in a series (although it read just fine as a stand-alone) but I plan to go back and read the first in the series since I liked this one so much.

This book was a fantastic read! It kept me engrossed the entire time! Braxton is the kind of man I dream about! Tall handsome and covered in tattoos! He comes off as a bad boy but once you get to know him you fall for him. You are routing for Braxton and Cara! Now Cara is a sweet and gentle person. She sees the situation she is put in, getting pregnant after a one night stand and is completely brave through the entire book. Cara came from money but what you learn is that money can't buy happiness. Her family is rotten and I am so happy she has friends that are like family. This story was a really great read and I would recommend this to anyone who likes a good Romance story.

Just like with Fake Wife, Stacey Lynn captured me from the very beginning of Knocked Up. Braxton and Cara were both extremely likable and relatable characters and the connection and chemistry between them was palpable and so entrancing. Both of them had backgrounds that made them deeply sympathetic characters; and somehow she was able to craft their stories so that even though their histories were vastly different, they both worked to make two people that were perfect for each other. Knocked Up is sexy, emotional, and real - just what I love in my romance! Stacey Lynn has definitely become one of my auto-buy authors and I can't wait to read more from her! 4.5 out of 5 wine glasses.

I received a copy of this story from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is such a welcome breath of fresh air after the last book I read! It was light and quick and just what I was looking for. The characters were distinct and dynamic and the whole story moved nicely. I didn't have much emotion invested into them but I did what to know how it all wrapped up. It was a great palate cleanser.
I am disappointed with the missed opportunity for the cover. Braxton is this built, scruffy dude covered in tattoos. The cover would have been WAY more compelling had it utilised that description more.

AWWWWWW. Is the word to describe this read.
I loved and adored these characters. They are just so perfect and just so "normal" that you feel like you know them in real life.
Braxton- man he's find. Tattooed and has a wonderful kind heart! I just adored him and his faults too!
Cara- that stubborn woman! ;) She's nice and one heck of a lady! I enjoyed her and the way she got B and his dog too! ;)
Knocked Up is sexy, filled with incredible characters, swoon worthy moments, family drama, friend drama and a wonderful ending!!!!
Super cute read!!!!
4 stars from me!!

Do men like Braxton Henley exist in real life? I loved everything about this book! Well, except for Cara's parents, they were despicable, but still, they made for some good drama. I love when opposites attract, but I love when they take their two worlds and blend them together to make something better. Cara and Beckett had to navigate some rough waters, but I really enjoyed their journey. They both found something they didn't know they needed. And while this book was incredibly steamy, it was also heartwarming, and gave me all the feels! But most of it, it just made me want to get pregnant again! ha!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC from Netgalley.
This was a nice light read. I've never read this author before and did enjoy it. I expect I'll read more from her, however, I hope her "future" characters will actually communicate with each other so that there are no confusions. This is one of my pet peeves, I guess you could say. So many conflicts could be avoided if there was communication amongst themselves.......Or maybe that was supposed to be the reason for the conflict. I don't know, but it's irritating.
Writing and Editing were very good.

One night of passion after the wedding of their best friends leaves Cara and Braxton with more than just a hangover. Now pregnant the two need to figure out how the good girl and the bad tattoo covered boy can make it work. But although they both lead very different lives the chemistry is there and they find themselves falling in love. But can two very different people really get a relationship that ends with a HEA? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that keeps the reader’s attention from the opening pages this book was a great read that I highly recommend.

Braxton and Cara meet at the wedding of their two friends. They spend the night together and Cara ends up pregnant. The bulk of the book occurs after she tells him that she is pregnant. I could not put this book down. I stayed up later than usual and had to force myself to go to sleep. I enjoyed how the characters were written, I had certain expectations of how they'd be when I read the descriptions and I first met them in the book. However there was a lot more depth to them than what I was expecting. I also enjoyed reading from each character's point of view. This is the first book I've read by Stacey Lynn, but it won't be my last. I look forward to exploring her other works. Where can I find my Braxton?
I really enjoyed this. It’s a sweet funny read that had me smiling through most of it. Cara and Braxton are great characters who turn a one night stand into a unplanned pregnancy and a happily ever after.
They both have had terrible upbringings and with that it helps them bond. I love their relationship and the banter they have. Braxton is extremely sweet and one of those characters that have you instantly falling in love with them.
Great book, excellent characters and terrific writing. It’s a must read!

This book is phenomenal! I pulled an all-nighter because I couldn’t put it down.
Cara is a girl from a well-off family trying to do it on her own without her parents judgement.
Braxton is a tattoo shop owner who has made a name for himself after growing up on the wrong side of the tracks.
As the name alludes to they end up making a baby and they have to figure out how to make it all work when they don’t know each other.
I will be definitely be checking out the rest of the books by Stacey Lynn!

I really enjoyed this book and getting to know the characters. I liked how it started with Cara having to make a big decision and how things go from there. It was nice to see how she handled herself and her inner dialogue. Braxton was just such a good guy from the beginning trying to do the right thing but also letting his alpha side slip out when he wanted things to go a particular way. I liked the slow burn of the build up between the two main characters, it had me anticipating their next move. Great start to my summer reading.

Braxton and Cara: Hooking-up after their best friends wedding resulting in a surprise pregnancy. Their journey to trust each other, and overcoming their mistaken impressions of each other, was real and so sweet. Two broken people who seemed like they couldn’t be more different, learning they have much in common. The startling realization that they had fallen in love with each other and could really be hurt by the other is a sobering fact as they prepare for the birth of their child. A beautiful HEA and I loved the epilogue!

Oh my goodness, I loved this book! Only 2 chapters in I knew I was going to love it. Braxton and Cara were perfect, I loved both of them.. Braxton was downright swoon-worthy! There were alternate points of view, and I enjoyed getting things from both Cara and Braxton's point of views. Knocked Up is book 2 in the Crazy Love series, but I have not read the first one, Fake Wife. It didn't matter, Knocked Up reads as a standalone novel. It was my first book by this author, but it definitely will not be my last!

Weeks later Cara returns with a big secret. Can he prove to Cara that he is worthy of everything she has to offer or will more misunderstandings keep them apart forever? Read and find out!

This is a great summer read – light, funny, and a little sexy thrown in to make it interesting! Good girl meets tattooed bad boy who fosters animals and is amazing in the bedroom. Too amazing as it turns out. Fun read about a one night stand that turns into an HEA of course.

Cara Thompson, 24, and Braxton Henley, 28, shared a one night stand at mutual friends’ wedding. The night left them still lusting after each other and with a unique wedding favor.
Told via their dual first person POV, the story started out engaging, and I felt their chemistry. I could also see both sides of their conflicts. Brax was kinda hot and had a lot of potential. I liked his determination to accept the situation, his interest in the baby, his desire for Cara, and to commit.
For the most part, I liked Brax. (at that stage) With the exception of one not so tiny character flaw—he’d been a manwhore right up until the point Cara seeks him out about the pregnancy. That of course means he also wasn’t celibate during the six weeks they didn’t see each other. I don’t know why tidbits like this are thrown into romances. And then brought up again to the reader as the romantic duo are about to get it on.
Really it just sours the romantic vibe. Is it so much to ask for a romantic hero to keep it in his pants for 6 weeks??? (Total rhetorical question for the record.)The trite excuse of trying to get the heroine out of his mind is just clichéd writing. Kudos though to the heroine who didn't find it appealing.
But sadly Cara’s bravado doesn’t last long and she settles back into her MO of self-doubt. Actually both Brax and Cara seem to suffer some self esteem issues. And then after a certain point in the story, Brax seems to undergo a bit of a character overhaul and not for the better.
This story definitely could have earned a higher rating if it would have abandoned some of the tropes and stereotypes that have been around the block in the romance world a million times. Though be it a fairly popular romance scenario, I don’t think unplanned pregnancy between strangers is always the easiest to pull off, namely because the stakes are so much higher—a child’s stability hangs in the balance. The narrative has the burden of convincing the reader that these two will be compatible partners and parents. Show (through depictions) is always better than tell. But this tale contains a lot of inner monologuing—often focused on figuring each other out, which is realistic at this stage of their relationship. But back to the challenge when you introduce a bigger responsibility in the relationship, I needed to see more examples of these two prospering for the long haul, not just in the immediate insta-love/lust stage.
On the pregnancy issue, one topic of conversation kinda bugged me. And it’s not all her puking although that got old too. It was emphasis on the baby’s gender. For one, it kept reinforcing this “modern” notion that the sex must be revealed before the birth. I mean, it’s portrayed as such an agony that they don’t know how to refer to the little bundle of joy. Having had two children whose genders remained a mystery till they popped out of my body, I can affirm that it was hardly a hardship to simply refer to them as “the baby.” That nice little gender neutral noun worked just fine. And then the gender conversation for these two turned a little…sexist perhaps, definitely hypocritical, when Brax asserted that he wanted a son because basically he didn’t want to deal with the future teenage boys a daughter would eventually attract. (Which also assumes this kid’s sexuality before it’s even born).
Let’s stop and think about this message a moment. This guy has been escorting one night stands to the Uber right up until the day he found out he’s going to be a father, and yet the idea of a daughter eventually becoming a sexual being makes him…not want to deal. Sure no parent wants to think about their kids having sex anymore than a kid wants to envision their parents doing the horizontal tango; but my point is there’s no moment of revelation for this guy. No epiphany. No awakening. No point where he sees the big picture and realizes that his behavior is the very thing he’s appalled about.
Moving along, the steamy times arrive a little late in the game for the readers, problematic only because they clearly haven’t for the couple. I do wish the prologue would have been their ONS since it’s only mentioned as being quite hot but never shown. It would have also been helpful to see this pair during their initial connection, before pregnancy complicated things.
Bottom line, the having-a-baby-together plot line mixed with misunderstanding felt immature. The romantic development faltered under the weight of drama.

Cara and Braxton were so different but so good together. Braxton owns a tattoo shop and has everything but he longs for a family. Cara is tired of doing what her parents want and is finding out who she wants to be in life. The two have a one night stand and Cara ends up pregnant. I loved Braxton, where are the men like him? A funny, wonderful read. I will be looking into more books by this author.

Knocked Up was a surprisingly nice summer read. The characters were quirky and not only well developed but also had fun personalities. Braxton is a great mix of soft Alpha that any woman would easily fall for and Cara is easy to respect and root for. Anyone who loves a surprise pregnancy trope will love this book but if you enjoy a nice sweet love story you'll enjoy this as well.

Cara and Braxton hook up at a wedding and...oops, there's a baby. When she tells him, Braxton says that he's all in. Of course, when her parents start to interfere with who they want to her to be with, it creates problems for them as Braxton can't believe that she could really fall for someone like him. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. I would recommend this one.

Cara’s life is definitely not going as expected. Having her first one night stand she finds out she is pregnant weeks later. Letting Braxton know he was going to be a father was not as easy as she thought. There is definitely some leftover issues that need to be resolved when she sees him again. Taking the words,of her brother to heart she is ready to live her life and not be held down by the expectations of her society driven parents. Great story on how life takes a curve and you find the one who completes you.

Braxton meets Cara and cant keep his hands off of her. One misunderstanding turns what should have been a morning after of romance... into a walk of shame.
Weeks later Cara returns with a big secret. Can he prove to Cara that he is worthy of everything she has to offer or will more misunderstandings keep them apart forever? Read and find out!
I voluntarily read an advanced review copy of this book

This is a great summer read – light, funny, and a little sexy thrown in to make it interesting! Good girl meets tattooed bad boy who fosters animals and is amazing in the bedroom. Too amazing as it turns out. Fun read about a one night stand that turns into an HEA of course.
New author for me but I’ve added her to my list of ones to read!
I received an ARC from the publisher for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for the review.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.

I loved this story. Cara and Braxton were great together. After a one night stand, Cara became pregnant by Braxton. After some time, she worked up the courage to finally tell him. I loved the drama in the book. It was not over whelming or over emphasized. I loved how Braxton knew what he wanted and didn’t stop until he got it. I enjoyed the secondary characters as well. Another great romance by Ms. Lynn. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy.
