I have really enjoyed this book! I have no problems with the author's liberal use of words that some readers might object to, and for my taste they just add to the in-your-face truth telling. I am trying to think of as many people as I can who also need this book to improve their lives. Her concept for using "20/10s" might make the difference between success and failure for some people. If a family friendly version were available I would make sure some of my younger friends and relatives got copies!

I am organized. In fact, that is what people name as one of my main attributes. I thought, why do I need UFYH? Let me tell you, I do. No matter how organized or clean you think your house is, there are so many things that have become invisible to your eyes that add to clutter. The pile of unfiled papers in the computer room, the basket on the kitchen counter of coupons and promotions that you never seem to sort and use, or the books that have become a permanent display on your couch. My craft room is its own set of many 20/10s. Rachel Hoffman's book opened my eyes to these and made the task so much easier with her 20/10 system (20 minutes of cleaning followed by a 10 minute break). Many of these tasks only took one or two of the 20/10 to complete and once done were so much easier to keep clean..The dishes from breakfast don't wait for lunch to go into the dishwasher. And yes, I always make my bed every day. I highly recommend this book to anyone anywhere on the clean to messy house spectrum. Whether you live in a house or an apartment or a dorm, alone, with a roommate or family, if you are healthy or dealing with a disability, you can be better than your mess with UnF*ck Your Habitat

This book was so worth the money! I have listened to it at least 3 times and am putting 20-10s to work around my house. I can't believe how much it has helped me and my outlook. If you suffer from depression, anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, etc. this book is perfect for you.

A great mixture of advice and humor, this book definitely motivates you to declutter and clean your space while spending minimal time complaining about it. The 20/10 method is rewarding and manageable, and the no-frills, informal tone of the advice makes it a fun read too!

It is a book with very useful information that part considering the fact that you may never have acquired those skills and do not know where to start. What I liked is that Rachel Hoffman is very honest in her recommendations, for example, that each person can be solved by the most economical means, or that you don't need specialized stuff to clean. I myself have some experience because I lived alone for years, and have carried out practices that suggests the author and acknowledge that they are functional.
Everything is explained in a very grounded way to reality, with a lot of common sense. She also tells us about the importance of organizing stuff in the house, how to develop skills and habits slowly but steadily. There are tips in each chapter, for example, how to do a little each day to get more efficient cumulative results, various cleaning solutions and supplies, reaching agreements with other people with whom we share the space. The newfangled part of the book is the chapter on Special Cases, where it makes pertinent suggestions for ordering and cleaning in record time a disastrous house to receive a visit, or prepare for a move, and even clean up our digital virtual space. The book ends with a very useful "How to" and cleaning check lists.
My gratitude to the Publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to review the book

Another book on decluttering, but at last this one is very funny in the way the author speaks to the reader! Suggestions, cecklists and invitation to get straight to the point and don't be lazy. I hope this would really work for somebody, because some of the scenario suggested in this book are really scary.

No regrets with this purchase -- UfYH is the perfect blend of no judgement and no bull----. I love all of the tips and tricks, and as someone who survives on list-making, I find the checklists invaluable!

Borrowed the audiobook version from my local library and after 25 minutes of ramblings about how other organizational guides fail people with busy schedules or limited abilities, I gave up. Was hoping to get some suggestions on staying organized in spite of a hectic life, rather than being on the receiving end of a dissertation on why home and garden publications suck.

Couldn't get past the first chapter which spent far too much time berating family and able bodied men, blaming them for the stereotypes of the woman house keeper. I would have loved to learn some tips for keeping a clean house, but couldn't stomach all SJW tumblrina anti male crap.
Keep it up folks and you will see a second Trump term, Sad Really!
