It's okay. The main characters are still in character and don't miss much. The back story on how they broke up is a bit weak. The explanation of why their friend goes downhill so fast is extremely weak, and in the end Jason admits he doesn't understand it. So does the author have something in mind? I think maybe the author is giving us too much credit for reading his mind, and should have dropped a few more clues. For that reason I gave it a neutral rating. There's also the matter of a new character with lots of potential that we grow to like, even though she is conflicted, and then [spoiler] the author summarily kills her off without sufficient motivation. The story is weakened as the author focuses on plotting which is unsupported by character development.

Jason and company take care of some unfinished business while getting caught up in a new adventure. Some surprises emerge one of which is quite shocking. But it seems Dalzelle is setting things up to go in a new direction.

Love the omega force series, especially the first three. Later books get a bit bogged down and loose the wonder of the first three but they still are a good read. Guess that seems to happen with most book series.
Omega Force: Secret of the Phoenix (OF6) :: Omega Force: The Human Factor (OF8) :: Omega Force: Revolution (OF9) :: Omega Force: Savage Homecoming (OF3) :: Omega Rising (Omega Force Book 1)

Twists and turns galore. Jason's humanity shines with all its foibles and integrity. Just the right mix of all I've come to relish from Joadh, Jason and his crew! Can't wait for the next and,,,,, the movie!

Another great addition to the series, Started off with me trying to figure out if I had missed a book, but it all caught up fairly quickly. If you liked the rest of the books, pretty sure you'll like this one.

Your writing on the Omega Force series continues to be very good. I can visualize all of your characters like I was standing among them. It took a while for me to get back into the groove with OF7. The first three chapters felt a little disjointed, However it finally all came together for me.
Is there a possibility the Omega Force could become a TV series?

Science fiction is a genre filled with gems and, well, turds. This is one of the gems. Dalzelle has a talent for characters and plot, the initial premise in book one was weak but things picked up and moved after that and have never looked back.

Dalzelle is smart enough to not get caught up in technical details, he uses them to move the plot a long but doesn't get mired in them.

It seemed to me that pressure from fans has caused you to rush this book. To me, it did not have the same feel as the other 6 in the series. Please, do not let pressure from us affect your creative process. I wish I could just start reading about the adventures of the crew and never stop. I like the depiction of the known universe as well as its inhabitants. I like the thought that Earth is a fledgling and ignorant of what is going on around them... kind of reflects what is happening on Earth currently. For the most part, a huge percentage of our population is not ready for "neighbors" from the stars.

Everyone needs heros and not all hero's are 100% nice guys, just like our intrepid crew members.

So, please, give us more of the crew, but do not let us push you into releasing something you're not 100% sure is ready for us. If you were for this episode, well, you know what they say about opinions... they are like a**holes, everyone has one and they all stink.

I'm conflicted about this book. I absolutely loved the first 6 books. I have reread each book many times. Love the stories, the camaraderie, the humor. This one though.... I agree with a few of the other reviewers that it felt a little rushed. The ending felt like it left too much hanging and not enough answers. Almost like the author needed to meet a deadline. Also, I'm not sure if I like the direction it is heading. I'm no author and I can imagine that trying to stay fresh and keep writing can be a challenge. This book was a little darker, almost as if the author's other series influenced his writing in this one. To me , the lightness and fun of this series is what makes it so great. I think this is why I am conflicted about this book. I will have to reread to see if it grows on me. Also, if the next book pulls me back it in then I may change my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I think Mr. Dalzelle is a phenomenal author. I'm just not sure if I like the big change in the characters or story arc.

Omega Force and Jason Burke are back again but all the rules of the game have changed.

We once again jump back into the tales of Omega Force but this time it has broken up. Jason and Lucky have went their own way after a horrifically bad mission fractured the crew and left them broke. The relationship with Chrisstof and Kellea has been broken and left the various crew with trying to find a way to live their old lives again.

Despite all of this galactic events still seem to be pulling them back to to the fight. All this just happens to occur just when a stowaway from a foreign Empire sneaks into Jason's life. This sets off a string of unlikely events that might just allow Jason to become what he has always wanted to be or plunge the area into a huge interstellar war.

This book has a darker tone than the previous series. In many ways this was a crucible that the characters matured in. After this book I'm not sure just where Omega Force will end up. The book ends with many new questions still in the air and I am eager to learn just where it all will lead.

Dalzelle has done it again. This series just keep evolving. Unbelievable SCIFI. Redemption fills a lot of gaps and is a must read for any SCIFI fan who wants to read what they can visualise that the future could look like for humanity.

Omega force is an amazing series that is very unique compared to a lot of other science fiction space books. Great action mixed in with hilarious comments from each character. The story never fails to surprise me
