Another great read by Melinda Leigh. I enjoyed the sequel format bringing back the same characters as Midnight Exposure, however I think I enjoyed the first one more, if that can be possible. After reading both I wouldn't be real excited about going camping in the Maine woods!!!

This face paced story begins where Midnight exposure left off with new lead characters but all the previous ones back for a visit. Excellent suspense, delightful romance and a truly twisted villain. Though great as a stand alone, consider reading Midnight Exposure first, another thrill ride that keeps you guessing until the end.

Two wounded souls come together in this story. The setting in Maine is very descriptive, warts and all. The villain is frightening because he is so insane. Danny is wounded but finds the strength to start healing with his love for Mandy. I also liked the Celtic myths and rituals involved in the plot. Good one!

Melinda Leigh is an outstanding author.. I've read all of her books and I'm waiting for her new one to come out this summer! Her books want to keep you reading from beginning to end without stopping. That's how excellent they are!

Loved the story plot...felt like I knew the characters who were developed so well. Liked Midnight Exposure but I think this book was better , probably because it had familiar characters. I particularly liked Jed. He was an essential element in the plot line.

Having been in some difficult situations, I don't recall wanting to have sex(even with Brad Pitt) while under stress. Needless to have so much love making. This is the third book I've read by Melinda Leigh, they seem to all have the same issue. I'm going to try another author.

I have never read Melinda Leigh. I enjoyed this series very much. I love a good murder mystery. It kept me guessing the whole time. I like the chemistry between the characters. Glad I downloaded both books at the same time so I didn't have to wait to get to the 2nd one.

This was a good mystery and just the right amount of romance without taking away from the story. I liked it so much that I bought the first book which was the sequel " Midnight Exposure" and was also great reading.

Nice mystery,,interesting characters and some intense drama. I liked the strong female lead who while being female, wasn't hiding or whimpering but rather defending and searching for those she felt responsible for.

I highly recommend reading them in order as they are not really stand alone novels. Midnight Sacrifice picks up the huge plot line left open in Midnight Exposure and brings it to a conclusion. In Midnight Exposure we met Jayne who inardvertently put herself into the sights of a ritual killer, when she was kidnapped her brothers came to the rescue. Danny Sullivan had been medically discharged from the army and was suffering from PTSD when he went to try and save his sister, he ended up saving Mandy instead and unfortunately the killer escaped. Now four months later his sister isn't sleeping, she's plagued with nightmares as the police investigation has came to a stand still and she needs a resolution in order to get on with her life. Danny returns to Maine with the intention of getting to the bottom of what is going on. When he encounters Mandy again there is an attraction there but he soon becomes aware that she is keeping secrets and possibly knows more than she has previously admitted to. Can he convince Mandy to trust him? People are disappearing again and suspicions are rife - can they get to the bottom of it before it's too late? A little slow in places but good.

Please read this book!!! It was probably one of the best book I can say that is an author that starts from the get go with some kind of plot instead of waiting till the middle. You won't be able to put this down s0 it went to quick!!!

This was a great story that included murder, mystery and romance! It was a great love story that kept me from wanting to put the book down. By the end of the book I literally had tears rolling down my face. This is the first time a read a book by this author, and I can't wait to get started on another book by her. Loved it!

This was a discounted purchase, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was an excellent romantic suspense novel. Reminded me of Nora Roberts, "The Search". I will definitively be recommending this one and look forward to her other books.

I had some trouble with all the different characters but once I got them straight the story was quite enlightening. It goes to show you regardless of your perceived problems other people have more. I applaud Mandy.

I very much enjoyed this book. I believe I should have read another one of her books first, which seem to lead into this book. I like the characters, the plot, the whole book. Can't wait to read some more of her books.
