A Dark Romance (Disciples Book 4) - Breaking Meredith

Breaking Meredith was a surprise to me. I wasn’t sure what to expect even after reading the blurb. The characters are well written, though I found it difficult to like Meredith. This story hints at darkness but never really goes there which kept me on my toes. It’s an entertaining read for sure.

This series is terrific. Meredith is stubborn and refuses to see what is in front of her face. Simon has watched over her for five years. He is OCD to the max. He has fallen for this infuriating woman that throws him for a loop. She is irreverent and very in the moment. It is so much fun for them to go at it. I received this book as an ARC and voluntarily reviewed it.

Two strong people coming together. One pretty much against her will. Until he kisses her. A fairly dark, pretty intense read. I feel it can be read as a stand alone as the books are releasing far enough apart I'm forgetting most of what happened previously. The ending isn't a cliffhanger but leaves you knowing the series will continue.

I always wondered who would break Simon (in a good way)- I’m so glad that Meredith was that person. She was so perfect for him - they made each other better. This book made me sad, mad, frustrated and happy- really I was a roller coaster of emotions. I definitely recommend this book.

I loved reading the four books in the series about Matthew (Lucifer), Andrew, Jonathon, and Simon. Hard, wicked and Mafia type men with their women who brought out the softer, sexy and family side of their men. Always ready to gives their lives for each other and the families they protected. Very well written and good story lines.

I absolutely love this book and the whole disciples series. I cannot stop reading them. This book (Breaking Meredith) is by far my favorite of the series, next to Keeping Lily of course. The spider catches meredith in his web and won't let go!! You will be thinking about this book long after you have read it, I immediately started re-reading it again. I just cant put this book down! You need to have a glass of water next to you for the steamy scenes... trust me your going to need it.

A sassy h in need of protection. An alpha, obsessed H who wants to claim her as his. Together sparks fly. The plot was entertaining with action, passion and a sense of family. I would have liked a bit more interaction between the main characters though. A good read overall. I voluntarily received an arc of this book.

Love this series! Have always wonderd more about Simon. Feel like we didn't really get to know him, but just more of the war that's going on. Loved him and Meredith together. The love hate relationship they have was hot when they finally got together. The ending was interesting. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Simon has been in the background of the previous books and I have been waiting for him to get his chance. Well he finally gets it in Meredith...who just happens to be Matthews sister. Meredith is an idealist and Matthew has been watching over her for the last 5 years. Finally his resolve breaks and he goes all super Alpha. I loved it no can't wait to read more.

When I started reading this story, I couldn't put it down. I read the book in one day.This author is an awesome writer.I cannot wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work.You should definitely read this book.

The romance aspect is good, but the character development isn't that great. I didn't like our heroine. She was very shallow. She wanted to do all these things and complained when she couldn't because she was hiding for her life...

Wow! This fast paced, fiercely sexy, all consuming book left me breathless! Simon is a no nonsense man who likes things his way. Meridith is independent, sexy, and strong minded. I highly recommend everyone read this to find out what happens when these two come together! I voluntarily read this book as an arc, and I couldn't put it down!

WOW!! What brilliant fast paced story that I absolutely loved!! This is a dark streamy hot story. This author knows how to write a sizzling hot story that had me totally captivated until the very end. This is a amazing story that I would definitely recommend.

Meredith and Simon’s story – WOW – this was a very exciting adventure with some violence, power plays, hot sex, drama and ‘I Will Die For You’ love! Great writing, great characters and secondary characters. Loved it, highly recommend it and will continue to read more by these entertaining authors.

I absolutely hated Meredith! She was spoiled and acted like a toddler having a tantrum . She also acted like she couldn’t stand her brother because he was a monster but she killed someone as well . Simon was great ! I love this series but I think this one is by far my least favorite.

Omg off the charts fabulous I just and so in love with this series Simon in specific he’s is all alpha male and damn was it hot and their chemistry ohhh man I had to fan myself more than once

Amazing fourth book. The second and third books were okay but nothing I'd run around screaming about. Book 1 is amazing and I read it about once a month, maybe more. Number Four (this book) is exactly what I liked about Book 1.

Very entertaining! The storyline, the characters, the snark, the angst, the steam, Awesome. This whole Disciples series is a must read. Well done again, Izzy!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have been waiting for Simon’s story and this book did not disappoint. It was dark, intense, and graphic. Simon is truly a beast. You get an in depth look into Simon’s head and you realize how obsessed he truly is with Meredith and the lengths he has and will continue to go to keep her. I love Lucifer and you get a lot of Lucifer in this book.

Loved it and would highly recommend it. This book was amazing.

This is an interesting read. It's different than the usual mob book. Not sure it was a mob book but that's the closest I can think of. I received an arc copy to review and this is my voluntary review.

The fantastic story and the wonderful characters kept me totally engrossed as I turned each page and I couldn't put this book down until I read the very last page I highly recommend reading this book!

This series is getting harder and harder to choose favorites with! As much as I love a bad boy alpha male in a book, it was refreshing to see a woman giving just as much back fighting for dominance. The duel for control is what set this book apart from the series. Definitely worth it! I received an advanced ARC of this book in return for an honest opinion.

I absolutely loved Simon and Meredith. If you have read the previous books in this series, you will not be disappointed with this addition. The story flows and keeps you on the edge of your seat, never knowing what to expect. If you love a little dark with your romance, I strongly recommend giving this series a try.

Love these books. Well written. Steamy sex scenes, lots of action, well deserved torture. Also like the fact the women come to terms with the necessity of the violence. And the irony of the names of Lucifer's family (Lilith, Adam, "Evie") was not lost on me. Hope to see Jane's story soon.

Wow, this book was ruined by poor writing and editing. There were so many wrong words, missing words, incomplete sentences, and edit errors that I had to read some sentences 2 or 3 times to figure out what they should have said. Isn’t it a shame when authors have no more pride than that?!
