Nate: A Mafia Romance (Dark Protector Book 2)

When I finished reading Con and Charlie's story I was curious to see if Celia would give us Nate and Sabrina's story or not. I wanted it...could tell that the possibility was there for a story.

All in all, I enjoyed Nate and Sabrina, I felt like she was a bit of a walking ball of hormones and he was no better, but that's kind of what this book is about. Resisting temptation, giving in to it...realizing it's more than just scratching an itch. Finding a partner.

Great story line, wonderful secondary characters; they need their own books!

I'll keep coming back as long as Celia keeps writing.

I loved reading this book. The entire make up of this read had my attention from start to finish. The dynamic duo of Nate and Sabrina will knock you off your feet. Nate is an all-male character and Sabrina is a sassy mouth female that just won’t take no for an answer. The storyline was awesome. From the very beginning, the sass and control were a huge hit for me. Excellent writing with a purely delectable ending.

When I wrote my review of Dark Protector I included this little blurb ... "Oh, and Nate, best supporting character ever - he needs his own story, Celia, hint hint!"

Dreams came true when I saw Nate was getting his own book!!! I normally am long and detailed but I'll leave that for my blog ... all you need to know right now is that this book is a true top 10 contender for best reads of 2017! It's swoon-worthy, classic Celia Aaron, sexy, exciting, darn good read!

Basically it deserves my classic line ... "Go download this book, read it, and thank me later!"

Celia Aaron just killed it once again! I just love her books and I have been dying for Nate's story. Let me tell you- it definitely did not disappoint!

Nate is everything. Sexy, sweet, funny, and my favorite quality- LETHAL. Add in a feisty heroine who's not afraid to get her hands dirty, and a totally action-packed plot, and I was so f-ing hooked.

Nothing but perfection from Celia Aaron every damn time. If you haven't read her books, start with Dark Protector and then read this one. You will NOT be disappointed!

Told in dual POVs alternating between Nate & Sabrina this was an amazing read. I loved these two together, their sexual chemistry flew from my E-reader making it electrifying. In the beginning I missed the fun humorous nature of Nate but was glad to see it surfacing here and there.
Nate is the badass mob boss but we saw Nate’s softer side whenever he was with Sabrina, after finally admitting that he wanted her.
Nate & Sabrina will have a lot to deal with, as well a ruthless and dangerous enemy from the past who is hell bent on having his revenge.

I highly recommend reading Nate and while you doing that, have a go as Dark Protector as well!

I loved this book!! This book is like the perfect Boston mafia romance. Blood and gore, but pretty straightforward without any unnecessary drama or side plots. Both H/h were badass and smart. And the way the romance grows feels so natural and not rushed either.

I love the personalities that the characters have in these books. Are they believable? No, but I am not one of those people who are bothered by that. Not having the same rules as the real world is what makes reading so much fun. Especially when you are lucky enough to find a talented author. I am very picky with mafia books because they are not really my go to. This one was amazing though. I especially love the banter between the characters.

Nate saved Sabrina when she was just thirteen years old. He sent her to boarding school to keep her safe and get her out of the mafia life. Once Sabrina turns eighteen and graduates from high school, she ends back up at Nate's. He is now the leader of it all and Sabrina has decided that she's not letting him send her away again. Nate comes home after a shipment gets ambushed and is tired and ready to just relax and maybe get some sleep. As he is getting undressed he hears a splash and goes to his balcony to see who is swimming in his pool. When the beauty gets out with her back to him he decides that if one of his men were stupid enough to bring her where he could see her that he would take what he wants and what he wants is her. Just as he is about to head down to the pool the beauty before him turns and says "It's good to see you, Uncle Nate!" It's Sabrina and at this point Nate knows he's in trouble and needs to get rid of her as soon as possible. They fight about it the next day but Nate is determined that she will live in an apartment near the college she will be attending and not staying at his house. He sends her to the mall with a bodyguard to let her get some new things for her room since at the moment it is decorated in "Hello Kitty". He figures it will get her out of his hair and he can get some work done. On the way to the mall they are attacked and Sabrina is kidnapped. Her bodyguard is able to get her back, but ends up dying after she is safe. Dimitri is the psycho who believes Sabrina belongs to him. He is the one who tried to kidnap Sabrina and he has the help of a "rat" in Nate's organization. Nate believes he must now keep Sabrina with him until everyone and everything is taken care of. Find out what happens with these two when they are stuck in the same house. Will Sabrina get her way and her man where Nate is concerned or will Nate be able to keep her sexy @ss at arms length? Will he be able keep her safe or will Dimitri get to her and break her by making her his sexual slave and hurting her? This is a dark, twisted romance and has no cliffhangers or cheating and is a definite must read!

Expect an handful of characters, with Angus being my fave. Can't pick out the best part, and I will need to re-read it again due to the situation with the 'rat' being around their conversations. You should read this even though a sassy female in not your predilection on heroine types of main characters. I already started reading ''Kicked''.

Hot. Suspenseful. A bit of taboo and mystery. A bunch of naughty.

I enjoyed this read very much. I love anything involving mafia and smut, and Celia Aaron did not disappoint with Nate. I love that Sabrina knew what she wanted and she was hell bent on getting it. I loved that Nate just couldn't resist her. Plus they connection they shared was sweet on top of all the hot.

A really good read. If you enjoy mafia romance then I highly recommend this one!

Hold onto your seats!! This book is a thrill ride for sure. It probably isn't right to say you liked a book about the mafia and so much brutality and killing, but, I did. I really did!! It had thrills galore, mystery, love, sex and even humor. What more could you want?? Thats right, nothing!! Buy the book!

Nate was exciting and funny. I loved it! Sabrina was a departure from the traditional virginal 18 year old and it was much appreciated. I also really loved to relationship between Nate, Peter and David. I hope they both get books. I would be very interested in their back story. All in all, a great read.

Omg I love Nate! And Sabrina too of course. Great book with so much gritty action and lots of dirty sex! I didn't want this book to end cuz I was loving it but at the same time I was like omg please hurry and get past all this damn danger please! Also really enjoyed a lot of the boys that work for Nate like Peter and David and Angus too. So glad we get to see Con and Charlie again too. Just a great read. Hope for more from this series.

Another fabulous read with a touch of forbidden from Celia Aaron. We first meet Nate Franco in the Dark Protector. He is all kinds of hot and demanding and in charge. Sabrina all grown up and full of sass, sweetness and determination.She knows who and what she wants and she is determined to get it. Dual POV so you get both sides of the love and drama. Mafia dealings, betrayal, love and family combine to make an exciting read.

Not what I expected. Sabrina, smart, head on straight, going places. Nate, hard core gangster. Doesn't need a barely legal virgin with a crush. This book has a little of everything, love, action, betrayal. I thought I had that figured out. I was wrong. I would have given 5?s, but, think Sabrina should have been older. At least old enough to drink at her wedding. I recieved this book as an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Thank you Nate for giving me just what I needed! This is definitely not my first Celia Aaron book by far. I am infatuated with her bad guys and her words. We briefly met Nate in a previous book (Dark Protector) and I instantly fell in love with him then. I can see why Sabrina wanted him as much as she did. The action and the heat are there in swarms with this one.

I just loved this story between Nate and Sabrina... I was instantly hooked right into this story of forbidden hotness!! I was hooked from page one until the very end!!

I love discovering a new to me author and Celia has knocked it out of the park with this forbidden romance!!!

Great story and great characters the main and supporting ones, a really good plot. I loved the humor between Nate and his boys had me lol quite often, and Sabrina was the perfect woman for him, a very well written love story with plenty of action, suspense, mystery, betrayal, loyalty, hot men, good loving and bad villains, hmmn' maybe not just a love story ? anyway a very good one!!!!!

Nate tried to resist Sabrina. He knew the life he lived wasn't for her. But she was determined to make him hers. She's been in love with this man for so long she's got to have him. She wants to know all of him, not just the good parts. He's finding it hard to resist her especially when she makes him a better person. And he will do anything to keep her safe. My kind of Alpha.

While the plot and the characters were well written and overall the book was enjoyable; I would like to suggest that in future when writing characters that speak a different language and frequently integrating words from that language into the story that you consult with a native speaker of said language. Some of the replicas in Russian were completely off, they were not grammatically correct and made little sense in the way you used them. Since Russian is my first language and I'm a fluent speaker, those mistakes for me broke the pace of the book and made it sound cheap and unthought out. As a customer it made me feel under appreciated and scammed, for I paid for a professional work in which the author put a 120% into making the story the best that it can be.

I would like to point out that I'm not writing this to offend you, just giving you friendly advice. I'm a fan of a lot of your books and look forward to your new works.

I really enjoyed this book. the mafia element and romance are a perfect blend. Nate is tough but he has a heart of gold under his rough demeanor. the book is well written and moves along at a nice pace.

HOLY SMOKES! Nate Franco is one bad a** mob boss of a Philadelphia syndicate. It was full of action, hotness, wondering what the heck just happened moments. Celia never disappoints when it comes to her writing. She can write funny humorous books and then turn and write dark disturbing books and still make you fall in love with them.

Liked: Nate did not sleep with OW after seeing Sabrina when she was an adult. Also Nate reacts to OM paying attention to Sabrina with a possessive and jealous manner and the story included hot sexy times.

Disliked: Boring parts, specifically the relationship between the hero and the heroine that are not the scenes above. I want a hero to pursue the heroine and have the heroine not give in easily. I want the hero to pine over the heroine and have no interest in having smex with OP. Sadly here, Sabrina took that role as opposed to Nate. Sabrina did all of the chasing. She came off as a adolescent brat who wanted what she wanted and that was Nate. She came off as desperate and needy and totally lacking in pride. She was a virgin and has been pining for Nate for 3 years, masturbating at the idea of being with him. She has not even kissed OM much less slept with one. I wanted her to at least go on a date with OM but she did not even have that experience because she was saving all of her firsts for Nate, whether he wanted them or not. IMO Nate just gave in because she had a good body and he was feeling horny after seeing her in a swim suit. I had no idea why he would want to be with her other than she had a good body, a pretty face and threw herself at him.

First time reading this author. I have been seeing the cover & blurbs all over. I downloaded it & figured I would get to it eventually. Well I am elated that I didn't wait to read it. Fantastic!!!! I couldn't put it down. I loved Nate... his jokes & assholery. Sabrina was a strong & mouthy lady. They were the perfect pair.

A sensational story with plenty of action, thrills, a strong, proprietary hero and a gutsy heroine. A well rounded storyline. I love the described details of the organization and the interaction of the characters. A passionate love story with lots of heat and steam. I hope we see more in the Dark Protector series.

Please please tell me there will be more Dark Protector books? Clearly I count 3 or 4 possible books with minor characters who can have their own story. David, Peter, Angus... maybe even someone's mom? More Dark Protector please.
