I loved this book... if you have read Salvatore brothers books Salvatore and Dominic you will already have met Sergio I think this could be read as a standalone but I would recommended reading the other books, as they are great reads. Read this one before you read the other two books as there may be some spoilers in the other books.
I knew this book would Gut me. We knew what was coming! I really liked Sergio from what we have read in previous books, I am so glad the author wrote his book.
Sergio and Natalie's is an amazing read, the connection between these two is intense this story needed to be told. I have loved every minute of it; it is heartbreaking, antsy, and steamy. The story is captivating from the start. Give Sergio story a chance you may even surprise yourself and fall in love with him.
I loved the writing Natasha she has written his story so well. You feel what these characters feel while reading. I did not want this story to end. My eyes hurt a little once I finished, I did not think I could get to the end, as I could not see through my tears. I cannot wait to see what Natasha brings us next.

OMG this book was so good. After reading his brother’s book I really wanted to read his. Because there was something in him that was intriguing.
I cried, like big tears...it took me some time to close the book (virtually of course!)
I like this author because when you read her books and this one included you get to feel how the characters feel at the moment, think...it is very well written. You get to be there with them while reading.
Sergio is maybe the next in line to be the boss in the mafia, but for Natalie he has a heart, he would do anything.
« Wrong place, wrong time, sweetheart »
Stupidly enough the sex scenes are good, well written, and not rushed or anything.
The end though, I wasn’t expected it, because per the note at the end and her other books, it is different, but I didn’t like it less because of this. Thank you for taking a chance and writing Sergio story! I think he is my best one from Salvatore and Dominic books.

Sergio Benedetti story the eldest son and his life is cruel and he does what he is meant to do as the next is line to take his fathers place, he is hard and unforgiving and knows his time is precious but he is the most beautiful of the brothers and when he meets Natalie he finds some of that humanity left inside him and their story is perfection and the most beautiful haunting dark love that is explosive and heartbreaking all at the same time. You will feel so many emotions as you go deeper into Sergio's life and it might just possibly destroy you I know it did me. The writing of his story is so beautifully written and I'm in love with these characters, their feelings and love is like no other and it will overpower you but I am so glad I got to see how Sergio and Natalie found their way to each other and what they got to share.

What a let down. Author should have just stated it point blank and left 2 letters for herself. I have read both Salvatore and Dominic but didnt remember that the hero of this book was already dead as a dodo. Honestly i would have wanted either a secretly happily all this time lived Sergio OR a Sergio risen from death after hiding some years so this version just sucked. Hate when dark romance authors hide this fact and claim it ruins the story to tell it in advance. Well, it ruined my reading experience to find out about it in the end. Wouldnt have read if i had known.

Sergio Benedetti is the firstborn son of a mafia king. He is the favourite and destined to rule. He is cold, cruel and unfeeling. He is also unforgiving, manipulative, powerful and damn sexy.

Natalie was in the wrong place at the wrong time twice in her life and in both instances, it led her to Sergio. This time, Sergio will not let her go. FOREVER. NO MATTER WHAT.

I needed to exhale a huge breath before writing this review. I think I was holding my breath anticipating something that was not going to happen. That couldn’t happen because the story had to be told this way. I’m shook. I also have a love/hate relationship with this book.

I LOVE IT! It was beautifully written and perfectly paced. It is intriguing, captivating and emotional. It is brilliant. A one of a kind read.

I HATE IT! (not really). It is gut wrenching and hard. It is bittersweet and I’m an emotional mess.

I listened to Sergio’s song, Darlin’ by Houndmouth, before I read this book and it set a mood. An overcast, a shadow, an omen. Almost like devastation was near.

The synopsis of this book had me all kinds of excited to read it.

Natasha’s foreword was gripping, almost a warning. For what, I did not know but I had a feeling this would be a dark read unlike any other. I felt anxious and ready for anything. I was wrong.

After the prologue, I was completely invested.

This book had me feeling dread, anticipation, excitement, love and so many other things. I knew this book was leading me somewhere. As it did, the tension and anticipation I felt kept mounting.

As for the conclusion, I was left speechless and confounded and emotionally wrung out.

Although the story has ended, I know this story and its characters will linger. This is a TRUE book hangover. It’s not pretty but it is a real and honest portrayal.

I can’t forget to thank Natasha Knight for breaking my heart so beautifully. It will never be the same.

This is not a traditional romance. It does not pretend to be. This is also NOT a story that you want told. This is a story that MUST be told. This book is for those of you that know love is not easy. That you must take care and savor every moment. To those who know if they’re lucky, they will meet and fall in love with that special one. That special one who will be THEIRS, FOREVER, NO MATTER WHAT.

I received this exquisite book as an ARC. All thoughts, feelings and opinions are my own.

Serigo

From the forward we know that this story will not be a happily ever after true love conquers all fluff story and boy was it not I'm sitting here with so many emotions after closing my Kindle I'm not sure if I want to cry or rage.
Serigo himself is hard to like he's a underboss to the Beneditti mob family and he is a rough man with not to many emotions and the ones he gives are only for Natalie and his mother. He was very hard to like and connect with but with the blood on his hands and the life he lives it's understandable.
Natalie she's a complete innocent she's pure sweet kind and naive with stars in her eyes even when she knows about Serigo and his life choices. She truly loved Serigo and was his light when all he was surrounded with was darkness. And that's honestly why Serigo pursued and ultimately fell in love with her. For her light that she brought to his life.
But Serigo and Natalie are very Romeo and Juliet in a matter of speaking real life couldn't protect these two no matter how much you wish they could. Serigo knew he was living on borrowed time and it was only fleeting.
If your looking for a happy mob story do not come here looking for it, this is real life the gorey the sad and heart-breaking.
This is not my normal type of story but I still give it 4 stars I knew starting it it would not be what I want in a story but I still pursued and am glad I did. I wish life could always be rainbows and puppy dogs but that's not reality and honestly once in a while you need something that doesn't get wrapped up in a bow and realize sometimes life doesn't work out the way you wish but would you give up the chance to live knowing that it will end in bloodshed and heartbreak or would you still live life to the fullest even for a short while?

The Benedetti brothers were born into the world of crime. Sergio is the first born who will become the head of the family. He’s ruthless, calculated. Sergio is the third book of the Benedetti Brothers and I looked forward to reading the other two. You can figure out the characters in this book, but I would’ve liked to know more about the other two brothers.

Sergio is haunted by the things he has done. He doesn’t sleep well because he knows his life will be short lived. He lives in the shadows of the dark. His enemies and rivials are always waiting to strike. What are the chances of meeting twice? In the wrong place at the wrong time, Natalie is caught in the cross fire of Sergio. Sergio knows he needs to stay away, but there’s something about Natalie that he can’t stop thinking about.

Natalie is young, inexperienced, and a bit naive. She’s not used to attention. She’s quiet and lives a sheltered life. She really is just a college student trying to make ends meet. One night puts her in danger again. Once as a child and again has an adult. How could that happen twice? Natalie is the light to Sergio's darkness. The attraction sets it on fire. It’s a dark romance that had me devouring it in one sitting. Natasha is new to me, but she really was put on my radar with this book. It’s full of passion, loss, heartbreak, and beauty. How far would you go for the one you love?

Sergio Benedetti.
He was raised to be the next king.
Franco's eldest son, he had the perfect balance between being the heartless boss of the Mafia and the passionate man.

When he meets Natalie Gregorian, even knowing he had responsibilities in claiming the daughter of an ally, he could not resist.
This is the story of the oldest among the Benedetti brothers.
Sergio. Salvatore. Dominic.

The struggle, the overcoming, the victories, his surrender to the love of a woman, his hope for the future.
After reading the story of this last brother, you will never see a mafia plot with the same look.
Be prepared for the excitement.

CRY ME A RIVER - NO, A DANG-BLASTED OCEAN! Natasha Knight gave her all in writing "Sergio: A Dark Mafia Romance" and then some! Some summaries/author's notes are used to trap you into reading the book, well this one was too accurate:

Author’s Note: Sergio: a Dark Mafia Romance is an intensely emotional, steamy and dark standalone romance set in the Benedetti Brothers Mafia world. Be prepared: this is not a traditional love story.

To me, this was a romantic tragedy...

"There’s a darkness to Sergio Benedetti. It clings to him, like a shadow. It’s the one thing that scares me about him because I trust that he won’t hurt me. And I believe that he wants me safe. I may not understand it, but I believe it. But this shadow, it’s not one he casts. The opposite. It seems to cast itself over him. To have a claim on him. Some strange, powerful hold over him.
-Natalie
“Wrong place, wrong time, sweetheart.” -Sergio

If I can get my words together, I will write a decent review on Sergio but for now.... "Sergio" is a 2018 favorite!

So, this is the story of the 3rd brother, Sergio. I have read the prior books, but it has been over a year so don’t worry as this story can be read as a standalone. In fact, it may be better since it runs a bit prior to and parallel to the other books.

I can’t say much about the events of this story, because it was so much more than the blurb lets on. I mean there is a kindle throwing twist in this one and I rarely am that strongly affected by a story. But oh how I wanted to gouge out Natasha’s eyes! I don’t mean I really want to cause her harm, but oh my gosh I can’t unread that twist. I kept turning the page waiting for another twist and well you’ll just have to read to find out for yourself what happens. I’m not sure how I can say I loved this story when at the same time it broke me and I don’t know if I’ll recover. To understand, you’ll just have to one-click!

Phenomenal!! This is my first Natasha Knight book and let me just say wow! I am left just speechless and wrecked. I loved this book! Sergio was my dark pleasure! He couldn't have been more perfect. Nat was a just what he needed! I loved everything about their relationship. He just couldn't stay away from her and no matter how many chances Sergio gave her to walk away from him, she just couldn't do it! Their love story was intense, daunting, and raw. An all-consuming vise that grips you and makes you feel every emotion the character feel. I was in no way expecting this story to compel me that way that it did! This book brings a whole new meaning to "wrong place, wrong time" and "no matter what". I'm so upset with Natasha she mad me fall so deeply and she obliterated me all in a few hours. I read this book in one sitting too consumed to even pause for a second. Sergio is a standalone dark mafia romance, there are two books that come before this and I can't wait to read them! I found a new favorite author! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Where to start with Sergio?! Frankly, I loved it. This was an emotional read, from the highs of falling in love to the devastating blows that knock a reader on their back. This book will keep you engaged and clinging to the outcome of each decision. The heat factor was out of this world. It is raw and naughty, just the right amount of dirty to make it a good sexy book. Some content does hit on a few triggers but honestly nothing too big or detailed.

The biggest thing about this book was how much it made me feel. The sexual tension and extreme emotions coming from the characters touched the reader and it was spellbinding. The story was so unexpected and I am still in shock and complete awe. This author gave a mesmerizing story but also a character that was such an anti-hero that I rooted for him like no other. This is definitely one book that will leave you reeling and near crazy. And with all that I still loved it so so hard!
*I was given a copy of this book by the publisher in hopes of my honest and fair review. I was never obligated to ever write this review.

If you have read the Benedetti Brothers series than this storyline will not be a surprise. While it is definitely not traditional, as the author warns, it is an unconventional yet heartfelt love story that has left me gutted…

Sergio is a family man. Family and loyalty are everything along with honor and truth. How is that possible in this violent world? I’m not sure, but he and his brothers pull it off… When he saves Lucia not once, but twice, their fate is sealed…

“I’m not the hero, sweetheart. I’m the f***** monster.”

And I couldn’t disagree, or agree, more. He is all of that, but the hero definitely won out for me… His protectiveness, his determination to protect her in all ways made him a hero many times over.

I’m heartbroken, yet I couldn’t not read Sergio’s story. The heart and depth he has, the love he found with Lucia, I would not have missed for anything… It is worth every sob…

I’m speechless, in awe. Sergio is absolutely wonderful. I’ve read the other Benedetti books so I went in eyes wide open. And I can honestly say this was my favorite.

Sergio and Natalie are great characters. He grabbed my heart and she found her way in there too. They are perfect together and their story will pull at your heart strings. Even though this is a standalone you should definitely go and read the other books. I for one am going back and reading Salvatore again because I’m so in love with these characters.

Great read, wonderful characters and phenomenal writing!

******************PROBABLY CONTAINS SPOILERS**************

Sergio is just a possessive one, "he draws back, his face an inch from me. “Mine, Natalie. Always. No matter what.” I generally don't read the author's note to readers but for some reason I read it this time, I had time to prepare, but honestly when it came down to it I wasn't ready, why all I can say is why did it have to be that way? I loved this book, up to a certain point when I got all antsy because I knew what coming and I can say it over and over again I was not prepared.

Natasha Knight delivers a mix of emotions in Sergio. I love to read Dark Mafia Romances, this is the first I have read like this. The simple girl and the complex, dark, dangerous mafia man fall in love in an untraditional way. There are loads of lust, a hot alpha male, and love. This relationship develops in a way you would never imagine and Natasha does a phenomenal job of foreshadowing leading you toward the ending but not giving it away completely. This book will heat you up, twist your heart then break it completely in two.

Once again Natasha Knight has written another phenomenal book. I read this story in one day, spell bound, not able to put it down. Sergio, the oldest son, next in line to be head of his Mafia family, Natalie, two chance encounters with Sergio, and her future is set. It's a story with love and danger. Ms. Knight writes with so much emotions. Without giving anything away, have your Kleenex nearby. You will not be disappointed.

The time line of this book was before Salvatore and Dominic. You could read it as a stand-alone but to really get the full impact, read the other 2 books in the series. It’s a heart breaking story, but beautiful. I’m glad the author wrote it and gave Natalie and Sergio their voices. There’s not a lot that I can say. I don’t want to spoil it. Sergio was a huge jerk; but he also had such a huge heart. 4 stars #2OCCJD

Nothing could have prepared my heart to die a thousand deaths reading the story of Sergio and Natalie. This is my first novel by this author so I wasn't at all ready.
Sergio has this dark air about him that draws Natalie in... Together they are a force. He asks alot of her that I don't think she realizes what exactly she is getting herself into.
It's a strong storyline that will have you shedding tears.

Sergio: A Dark Mafia Romance by Natasha Knight is the story of Sergio and Natalie.
Natalie had a problem with being clumsy and in the wrong place at the wrong time. That is how Sergio and Natalie first met when she accident was in a convince store when she was around 14 years old being rob and one of the bad men tried to rape her. Sergio saved her and took care of the bad men. Now 6 years later she was trying to get pictures for getting a internship and was caught in a deal that Sergio people were doing. Sergio knew he wanted her and couldn't seem to let her go.
This book took you in from the start and I couldn't not put it down until I finished it. I loved their story but did wish for a ending that would be the level of their love.
Overall enjoyed this book and hope to read more by Ms. Knight.

This is a double edged sword. If you read Salvatore or Dominic, you know what happens. This was a secondary character in the Bendetti books. But if you don't, you are brought on this beautiful and violent emotional journey. Natasha brings you on a beautiful ride until the bittersweet end that will leaving you staring in disbelief wondering how she could have done that as you lay heartbroken with the book in your hands.. Very well written, crafted and created, 5 big stars to Natasha.

Normally I would consider the "NOT I repeat NOT a HEA" title of my review would be a spoiler, but for readers like myself that is something I needed to know upfront. I do not like stories that don't wrap up nicely at the end. However Knight did it again with another fantastic story. I would definitely recommend you read this but if you're like me just stop about 96% in (depends on your kindle settings of course) there's a good ending on the chapterrace before it that will suffice. I'm so excited for whatever book Knight has in store for us next, just please for the love of God give us a NON-HEA warning before our hearts start tearing apart.
Please RateSergio: a Dark Mafia Romance
