Tillie Cole is just plain amazing!!! I feel every emotion in her books, and this one... OH Jeez did i feel Li's pain and conflict. this was beautiful written, had the bad boy/biker gritty to it that i liked, the knight saving the damsel and the chaos of a fun entertainment... then the bond and strength of the characters come to life and she just writes it so well... i was equally impressed with this book as i was with "it aint me babe" ,,, the Hades Hangmen series is awesome... and EVERYONE should read them... actually you should just read every book this woman writes they are fun and amazing... i love her writing, you can see it clearly in your head and feel everything!!!

How is it possible that this book improves on the first? Ky and Lilah have a tough road to travel. The pain that Lilah has had to endure her entire life is atrocious but it makes her a stronger woman, sister, friend and lover in the end. Even though some truly evil things aee afoot Ky grows too through their trials and tribulations. The Hangmen are growing as a group as we go through each book as well.

Wow!!! What a book, not great with reviews but going to tell you this book is like book 1 times a hundred...any feelings you had from book multiply it by 100.
I loved book one but this book surpassed it by leaps and bounds....in no way putting down book one cause it's one of my favourites, just that this one is even better...the characters, the feelings, the story...
Can't wait for book 3 cause I got a feeling it's gonna blow book 2 out of the water as well.

Wow! Amazeballs Tillie! Another Hit!! I fell in love with Ky and Lilahs story. You described them exactly how I can picture them for real. Ky is a badass Alpha and he is mesmerized by his Lilah. I cried and awed reading word for word there journey together. I was lip biting and angry all at the same time. I can feel the emotions bouncing off my kindle straight to my heart. Great job! A must read for sure. The chemistry between the brothers and the women are quit breathe taking. Makes me want to look for a One Percent! ;) Now I am off to read Souls Unfractured!

Where to start on this review..... First let me just say that I loved It Ain't Me Babe and all the Hades Hangmen. Ky's book I must say was a little darker and nothing wrong with that but I found myself getting a little frustrated with Lilah, and I don't understand why. Tillie Cole did an awesome job with the story and I loved it but if I'm being honest Lilah was not my favorite. I would still recommend this series to everybody because it is a great one, and I am so looking forward to Flame's book and hopefully Hush and Cowboy now that would be awesome :) So thank you to Tillie Cole and keep them coming......

This whole world of religious cult meets MC club is just so different. Ky and Lilah really do make an awesome team--once she comes to the realization that the cult wasn't perhaps all it was cracked up to be. Given the order by his Prez, Ky has to find a way to assimilate Lilah into Club Life, something he finds both irresistible and downright impossible.
Although I really loved this story, the incessant religious behavior started to grate on my nerves. However, when I thought I wouldn't be able to take much more, that's when the "turnaround" happened. If it gets to you too, my advice is to stick with it, it all comes around!

4?s. This series is so overwhelming, heartbreaking, steamy, redeeming and so much more. When you read it, you get all the feels, you are in a rollercoaster that you can't get off because you don't want to.
☺???????
At first Delilah annoyed me, but only because my mind couldn't wrap what had happened to her, how her brain had been so conditioned to believe something. I don't think I can say something that hasn't be said about this amazing series.
Highly recommended ?

Heart Recaptured begins where It Ain't Me Babe leaves off. HR goes a bit deeper into the psychological damage created by the cult through Lilah and how she copes with living outside of the commune. She struggles to accept Mae's attempt to free her because her faith is deep and strong. My heart broke for Lilah many times while reading especially towards the end when she breaks down. You get to learn a bit about Ky in this one and his past isn't good either. The end is a bit of a cliffy like the last. I highly recommend this series.

I rated this three stars, but would have loved to give it five. The story is GREAT. It's so different from the usual, and the flaws in the characters (ie. Styx's speech impediment) are truly unique. The only thing that throws me off, is the extreme over use of the F Bomb. Don't get me wrong, I'm not offended in the least. I have a mouth that would make any sailor (or biker) blush, but in these books, it's used in places that often don't even make sense for it to be there. I had to force my brain to start skipping over it, otherwise I'd have just gotten so annoyed by the misuse of the word that I'd have just figuratively slammed it shut. And the 'b*tch' reference. We get it. She's Ky's b*tch. Must we be reminded of that every single time he's talking about or addressing Lila? These men are crude and Lawless and I love them, but Tillie's style of just randomly saying 'F' or 'F all' kept me from getting lost in the story like I love to do when I read. Hopefully she tones it down some, or at least figures out a better way to make them vulgar without constantly dropping the F Bomb after every other word. I want to LOVE this author.

If you are into light hearted romances, this is not one of those books. This book contains foul language, biker gang partying and a twisted sex cult masquerading as a religious faction. There were many parts that made me cringe and the biker mentality towards women is offensive. But through it all, I hung in there hoping Lilah could be saved by anyone. And by hanging in there, you finally see the goodness that is tucked down deep inside these violent, criminal bikers hearts. I can't tell you if this is a book for you, it's definitely different. But I can tell you that I would like to read the next one.

Wow....i mean I'm kind of speechless actually. But in a totally fantastic, I need more of this series right away kind of speechless. I thought the first book was good but this second was sooo much better!!! So much emotions and drama and I had to stop a few times to regain my composure.

I think excellent says it all. I was again caught up in the story wanting to know what happened next. Ky and Lilah have chemistry that they both fight. When the unthinkable happens, not once but twice, you really feel the emotion that they dealt with. I say well done and I can't wait for Flame and Maddie's story. I would also be interested in maybe a novella about how Beauty and Tank came together because when she told the tale to Lilah I instantly wanted more (hint, hint) :)

This book shows the difference in how severe and different the indoctrination was between Mae & Lilah. Whereas Mae was quicker to realize that the teaching of the cult were wrong, Lilah was hardly unable to do that. I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first one, but I still liked it. I found Lilah very frustrating at times - But I understood why the author made the character the way she did. I'm anxious to read the next book in this series.

The next installment In this series was much more emotional for me, this book was so amazing but I must admit I had to put it down several times, some scenes were quite brutal to read. These two were so beautiful together Lilah and Ky were kinda similar if you think about what they were told as kids I truly felt for Lilah but her beliefs at some turns were a bit much for me to digest. This is am amazing amazing series I can't wait to read true next one.

I am loving this series so far. The story continues from one book to the next & I like that. I like the focus being on other people, but the story to continue. On to the next one! I know I won't be disappointed.

Another outstanding story from Tillie Cole.
Heart Recaptured broke my heart many times but slowly faith built it back up. Ky's and Lilah's story was very well written and a real roller coaster of emotions.
This second book goes darker than before, contains rape, graphic murders and lots of violence but this for me only adds to the gripping story.
Loved reading how Styx and Mae have developed and the rest of the Hades Hangmen ~ Roll on 2015 ready for Book 3.

Not even sure how to review this one without spoilers, so fair warning.
I was really enthralled by book 1, enough to buy book 2 immediately after.
Here is my thing.
When reading romance I'm after a happily ever after. Right? Love conquers all, yadda yadda yadda.
I don't feel that "love conquers all" in this book. I don't feel that Lilah overcame much, or evolved enough, or that "love" helped her through things. While I agree that in real life it would take a long time, and more than likely, years of therapy and professional help, to overcome the type of issues she had, I would have like to have seen a bit more progress in her. I don't think she ever found her true happy ending, I think she just gave in. The fact that at the end of the book she's still dressing as she does, even while wearing the Cut, shows this. Her spewing about religion and her inability to accept certain things did get irritating and at times I just wanted to yell at her to shut up already. Her vacillation in her views of the cult made me crazy too.
I think that the author missed a lot of opportunities in which the characters could have made significant progress--personally and in the relationship. Knowing how damaged she was, there could have been more talk with Salome to help her. Part of the "happy ending" in this book is seeing Lilah overcome her past, and Salome was crucial in this, yet we see very little of that. Over the time-span of the book I got the impression that she was just allowed to cower and wallow in self-pity and self-loathing in the room, with the exception of her outings with Ky. Her outings with Ky had a lot of opportunities to show her the real world and to have great scenes. Her seeing other pretty girls on the outside, how they were fine, accepting how the real world dressed, or that people could be so happy without a cult. But they were reduced to we go out.. oh pancakes.. a church... home.
I get that it was necessary for Ky to overcome certain things, and part of that was looking beyond the skin and superficial beauty, but Lilah's self mutilation was a bit overly dramatic. I saw it coming, I really did, but I envisioned her doing it alone in the bathroom, not this huge public scene she caused. And it only showed how really really really damaged this chick is and how maybe three days in the psych ward and some intense therapy was necessary for her, extensive, intense professional help, and no amount of sex with a hot guy is going to resolve her issues.
I think I would have enjoyed this more if I saw her really try, really overcome some crucial hurdles, and even if she did wind up scarred, an accident that damaged her outer beauty and caused that scarring on her face would have been easier to stomach and would have served the same purpose than if she'd done it herself.
And this may just be me, but I think her rape was unnecessary in her progress and in the story... if only because it really did NOTHING to change her views or open her mind to the fact that she'd been brainwashed, because even after that she's clinging to things.
This is a story about someone that really needs professional help and instead is getting hot sex as therapy.
I'm curious to see book three, because the main character in that one has been presented as someone with serious mental issues (illness?) and a history of cutting and a fascination with bloodplay that I don't see working in a balanced relationship.

This book was amazing from start to finish. I have never read this author before or MC books for that matter, but boy am i glad our book club picked this series.
Ky and Lilahs story is gut wrenching.
I literally had to take breaks throughout to continue with their journey.
Take a chance on this series... You wont regret it!

I've been looking forward to the second installment ever since I finished the first one and it did not disappoint! Not sure who to love more, Styx or Ky. Can't wait for the next installment, the story of Maddie and Flame. Hoping there will also be stories for some of the new characters introduced in this book. If you liked book 1 you need to read this book.

WERE DO I BEGIN. AMAZING this book was raw, gritty, sad, heart wrenching, makes you wana cry, vomit everything a great dark biker romance should have. The herione is deeply tramautized and hard to connect to at times eventually you warm up to her qnd. Ky was the perfect hero he was rough, bad, but sweet, loving protective. The book was well written and the dialogue was great the wittiness laugh vulgar language was well written. This was better than the 1st book which i read the night before this and that is how books should be in a series, get better with the next one. Not for the faint hearted. I have big hopes for flames story. I was in a severe book rut before reading this series, this ended my book rut. Love it

I loved Ky and Lilah together, although there were parts where I just wanted to shake Lilah and make her open her eyes. This story just broke my heart, but I love how it all came together in the end. This story gave me chills, made me angry, frustrated, and happy. You get it all in this book. This is a tough series to read, but I am hooked and I can't wait for Flame and Maddie's story to be released.

Tillie Cole's Heart Recaptured I perceived as a gritty but beautiful depiction of falling-in-love with polar opposites.
Both POVs I found to be portrayed well: Ky is razorblade sharp while Lilah is naive and severely sheltered.
I highly recommend this follow-up in the Hangmen's series.

Really, really love this series. If possible, I liked Heart Recaptured even more than It ain't me, babe!
My only criticism would be Brother/Prophet Cane or Rider, I find it hard to believe that after so many years out in the world, he doesn't see the flaws in how his sect lives and their treatment of women. I'm sure we will learn much more about him in his book though. Looking forward to them all!

I actually love this series, some parts are hard to read specifically about the Lilah's life in commune and when she is punished, but the mix of the dark and light is good. Lilah is full of surprises at the end, she is a good character and Ky is my favorite, he is hilarious and brings a light-hearted playfulness to the book. Overall good read!

After falling in love with Styx and the Hangmen in It Ain't Me, Babe, of course I had to read Book 2!
Heart Recaptured had all I wanted it to - hot sex, bikers, and the ladies who love them.
I had various emotions as I read. I smiled, giggled (I just LOVE Ky!), teared up a few times, felt sick inside, and thought about my own religious beliefs.
I cannot wait for Book 3 - Flame's story!

Heart-breaking struggle of a beautiful woman/girl to overcome the notions she was raised on that her beauty is devil - and a great love that helped her in this process. Nevertheless, while Ky fell in love with Li beyond her beauty, and demonstrate it strongly, it still seems that her first attraction to her was triggered by her beauty. Highly recommended.
