I am extremely satisfied with the content of this wookbook. Some of the workbook pages have been a review to help my daughter retain the information she learned in fifth grade while other pages challenge her and are preparing her for the sixth grade.

All of my kids have used Brain Quest products, from flash cards for 2-3 year olds to these workbooks. Just the right level, not too challenging, clear, interest-grabbing instructions and illustrations. Follows a good standard curriculum and will give your kids the extra practice they need to have confidence in their school work, as well as give parents a clear idea of where their strengths and weaknesses lie (and what areas need to be targeted for extra practice). Have bought these workbooks for K, 2, 3, 4, and 6 this year, and will buy again next year.

We just discovered these this year. We're actually using this for our 7th grader as these books stop after grade 6 (why do they have to stop???) and we also picked up the grade 5 book as well.
The kids like them and are able to do the work with very little help from us which is nice. I would highly recommend these.

This is a very nice workbook. The illustrations and instructions are clear and straightforward. While it does seem a little advanced for the sixth grade level, working on these subjects (such as geometry, statistics, physics, and chemistry) can make it easier for a child to understand these topics in greater detail when he or she moves to a higher grade level.

The book also covers a wide range of information, from Greek democracy and world geography to literary techniques and analytical writing. This book teaches kids detailed subjects in a fun and engaging way. While a child might need extra help from his or her "supervisor" when reviewing difficult lessons, the lessons make sure to explain each subject in a way the child can comprehend and retain information.

Really love the FULL COLOR Brain Quest series of products. The pages are slightly larger than 8 1/2 by 11, so hard to copy. But, if you have the ability to buy for individual use, one for each of 25-30 students maybe, they are great review, practice, and can be a challenge. I have little ones who just love getting these sheets in packets. "Can I have another packet please?"

I have been requesting these brain quest workbooks for my students. Several of my students parents have bought these for their kids. They are really good at filling in the gaps for my students and giving them extra practice at home.

Using this new book to supplement my homeschooled 7th grade boys. Definitely written at a sixth grade and above level. Recommended for ages 11-12. I would agree with that. The pages are clean and uncluttered. Gets your child the most important information about each subject. Has a lot about metaphors, ratios, and logic, which was a nice surprise. I highly recommend this book for any child who is 11 or older. We have used Brainquest books of many grades for years. Nice homeschool supplements to whatever curriculum you prefer. (We also play the Brainquest board game to supplement our homeschool.)

This is a basic workbook that covers all areas of the grade level. I would use it more for a guide as reminded of what they should be learning. If using it as a supplement to homeschool I would definitely not use it for my child's work. I am talking like 2 pages max of a handful of problems. But it is a good GUIDE book of what to cover in that grade and go to pinterest or other websites to find more hands on work. This is NOT sufficient if you want them to retain the knowledge.

It is also a good book to get an idea at the beginning of a new year of what you may need to go over before starting a new grade. But I would not use this as an all inclusive teaching tool unless your goal is to teach your child as little as possible and very likely forget it before the next page.

The hypotenuse of a triangle can't be shorter than the triangle's height! On page 210, a triangle diagram shows height =9, and hypotenuse =7. The hypotenuse is always the longest side of a triangle. It's not helpful to students when the book doesn't understand the topic. This is the only page I've looked at since my son asked me a question about it. So, there are probably additional errors.

A text/workbook should contain ZERO errors. We have already found 2 in the math sections alone, and have only been using the book for a few days. One geometry problem (area of a shape) is missing necessary dimension values. Unbelievable. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
