Had enjoyed the Whiskey Creek series up to this book. Cheyenne' s scheme and justification for it were absolutely despicable.
The idea that a loving couple would make decisions without consulting the other is a ridiculous story line.
Could have been a sweet story but the lying and deceit of the two main female characters ruined it.

The Whiskey Creek series is a wonderful set of books! Mrs. Novak ties all the characters together in a small town, but gives each of them their moment to shine as being the "star" of the latest edition. If you haven't read these books then I encourage you to start with the first one and read them all!! You'll find that you can't put them down!

This installment of Whiskey Creek deals with Presley. If you are already a fan of the series then you know Presley is Cheyenne's sister and not a major player in the clique of friends. We learn some of Presley in Book 2, When Snow Falls, which is Cheyenne's story. I wasn't certain Presley would be included in the series but was hoping. I think the relationship, and how it came to be, between Cheyenne and Presley is interesting and perhaps a bit difficult to understand. I try to avoid spoilers for those who haven't read the books, so this may be left mysterious for some but others know why I say that. It is the background you read of in Book 2 that lays the foundation for this strangeness. I would definitely suggest you read Book 2 before you read this book, if you haven't. There are things going on that influence heavily the decisions made by Cheyenne. If you love Chey you may hate this book. It definitely shows her in a human, flawed light. I personally loved this book. I thought the lying and scheming done brought up some of the psychological issues that are a part of Chey and Presley. While it may bring Chey down to some, I feel it shows how the past can influence you into doing things you usually wouldn't. For me, it made Chey more human, less perfect.Presley changed a lot from where she was left in Book 2. Her return brings her into contact with Aaron again, who has also been making changes in his life. It is difficult for Presley to accept Aaron changed enough to accept her and her son. In my opinion this book is well done. It explores how our past influences our decisions no matter if we are the main character or the sister supporting her. I think it will be difficult for those who have put Cheyenne on a pedestal but for me it was perfect. I think Cheyenne and Presley have a unique bond that is very difficult to understand fully. It will be interesting to see how things go between them as they mature more with life's challenges. This is one series I definitely find fascinating. It is due, in part, to the author not being afraid to explore darker things and in part, to the author not being afraid of her characters falling down. No one is perfect though some are perceived that way. When their flaws are exposed it always brings out strong, intense emotions of like or dislike. This book will bring that out, for sure.

The characters in this book are stereotypical conniving women that I have no respect for. I've loved this series up until now, but first hiding the paternity of one child and then considering a secret artificial insemination, was just too ridiculous to believe. Very disappointing.

Wonderful story about realizing the life you were leading needs to be forgotten when you have another life to care for. Presley was the party girl, drug user. With a new baby she decides to change her life and go back home to raise her child. After two years of making a new life and trying to forget Aaron, she is ready to go out again and try her hand at enjoying the company of someone new. Thats all well and good until Aaron returns to Whiskey Creek not knowing he fathered a child. Their reunion is turbulent but they agree Wyatt needs a father. Very easy read, emotional at times. Side story involving her sister Cheyenne and hubby Dylan seems to lead to a future storyline. I surely want to know if Dylan finds out about their new offspring!!

I was so disgusted with the deceit from a character I had previously enjoyed that I deleted the book from my kindle. I'm not sure if I would purchase further books in the series, which is too bad. Before this book, I had enjoyed the Whiskey Creek series.

I had a real problem with the dishonesty that Cheyenne and Aaron perpetuated on Dillon. It doesn't fit with their characters. I love Brenda Novak books but this aspect of the story really ruined this book for me.

I have really enjoyed the previous books in the Whiskey Creek series, but this one was painful to get through. I skipped through several pages to get to the end...something I never do. The worst part was the Cheyenne/Aaron/baby storyline. Terrible, far-fetched, and just plain awful that a former heroine would descend to trickery to get pregnant. I hope this next book is better or this may be the end of my journey with Brenda Novak's books.

I was really looking forward to this book but was a little disappointed. The story line was not like the other books in this series. I enjoyed the Presley/Aaron story but The Chey and Dylan wanting a baby was a little to much.

I love the characters, most of which were from the previous books in the series (loved the other books in the series). Plot was thin and predictable and one major loose end was not tied up. Overall I was disappointed, especially since I pre-ordered the book.

Aaron and Presleys story is all about how love will conquer all. This book has so many twist and turns you can't help but allow your imagination to run wild on how the book will progress. I Loved this book. I can't wait to see what the Author has in store for the rest of Whiskey Creek.

Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean that you have to give up! Turning your life around for all the right reasons might be tough, but there are many of us who do have the stamina to do so. This is the story of someone who did and her journey to happiness.

This is another page turner. Once I started reading I could not put it down. As always I am left wanting to know more about the stories of other characters in the Whiskey Creek series. I can't wait till the next book to become one with its characters as I have with all of her books.

This book will take you through an emotional roller coaster. Presley has encountered many challenges in the last two years, the greatest one will soon to come once she's back at Whiskey Creek. The past keeps haunting her as she struggles to make the best decisions for her and her little boy especially since Aaron Amos still lives in Whiskey Creek. I give this book 5 Stars, Brenda Novak has another hit on her hands.

Brenda has done it again with her Whiskey Creek Series. This was a great read and I really loved it, but it ended too soon. Will Cheyenne's little secret backfire on her, or work out for the best. I hope for the best.

Great follow up for these two characters. Really happy to see them end up together and living healthy lives!! Not sure how I feel about Chey getting pregnant the way she did, but maybe we'll see that play out in a future book.

I lovely and very touching story, about friendship, filial love, family ties and loyalty. The Amos brothers are a very lovable family and some chapters were quite funny. There is still a lot to write about them in the future. I don't understand how so many reviews are offended by Cheyenne's subplot. She did it for love and the way it happened, well, it seems everything is possible these days with the internet! This is a fiction story, a romance with an happy ending, so it cannot be too realistic!

Some series don't necessarily require you read prior books but I think this book if read alone would have you scratching your head. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great book and I hope it's not the last in the series because there's so many characters to delve into yet.

Presley left two yrs ago after Aaron basically shut the door in face the night her mom died. Unbeknownst to either of them is she's pregnant and the decides to keep the secret of who the baby's father is. Now she needs to keep rebuilding her life and the first things first she needs a place live and a building for her massage center and yoga classes. she has do all this and keep it a secret about who the father is. This story had its ups and downs but in the end love will conquer

I really enjoyed this book. I have read the entire series, and like all of them, but this was my favorite. I stayed up very late finishing it because I couldn't put it down. I was trying to solve the problems in my head for them. I would recommend reading this book.
