I volunteered to leave a review after reading this book. Well, I just love reading Terry's books. Her stories always pull me in and this one is no different. I love Kai's story. For Kai can control the weather and when he gets mad, he can cause thunderstorms inside even. All tell him to go find his mate. No one can take his temper anymore. Renee and her friend Liz have came to the coast for vacation time. But, Renee doesn't know that she will meet someone that wants her not her friend Liz. Liz is slender and beautiful. Where as Renee thinks she is fat and not wanted by a decent guy. But, when Kai and Renee meet, things don't go as expected...they are better then expected...

This is the second book in this series. It can be a stand alone. But, it is better if you have been reading all of Terry's dragon series.

This is the second book in the Sea Dragon series. This is Kai's the tourmaline dragon and God of Storms. He is being sent on a vacation to find a mate. He meets Renee who has come with her friend Liz who won an all expense paid trip to Hawaii. Renee is not looking to find romance after the break-up with her boyfriend.
When Renee and Liz are at the bar Kai stares at Renee. OMG! He wants me over Liz. Their meeting does not go well. Renee faints and Kai takes her into the ocean to revive her, where she almost drowns. With Renee's hang-up about her weight will she believe her wants her? What is the reason Liz wants him so badly? Come find out.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and, once again, I loved it! I have read all of Terry Bolryder's dragon books and this is just like the others -- a great story. The writing flows, the characters resonate. There is love and danger and one heck of a mean best friend. This series is building up to a fantastic ending I am sure, but I hope it continues for several more books. Kai is an interesting addition to the sea dragon family. Being grumpy, irritating and unused to humans, their thought process and idiosyncrasies make finding/keeping his mate quite a challenge for Kai. I feel this is a must read for lovers of the dragon shifter genre.

Another fabulous book in the Awakened Sea Dragons series! Kai found himself on a forced vacation. He was driving everyone crazy in the mansion and was ordered to go and find his mate. So, where's a sea dragon to go but to the sea! Here he found his Venus, a full figured goddess that had trouble believing he was for real. All her life she had been bulled, called fat and believed what she was told. So naturally she had a hard time believing that he was after her and not her slender, self absorbed roommate. Can true love find our sea dragon and his intended mate? Another fabulous shifter romance by Terry Bolryder! I just love her stories!

If you follow the dragons, you'll love this addition to the series. This story was so good. Kai is an intense character, but the book takes time to explain and give plenty of background on why he is the way he is. Terry did it again!

The editor didn't, though. The editing in this book isn't as clean as normal for Terry's books. There are a few grammar mistakes and lots of comma problems. The biggest issue, however, was at the beginning of Chapter 18, when the wrong name is used and suddenly the h becomes the frenemy. That was enough for me to say "wait, what?"

Overall, amazing 5-star story but disappointing quality.

This is a good dragon shifter romance, with a likeable couple. I was afraid, after the first book in this series, that I wouldn't like Kai -- but he is actually a lot of fun in his story. He is so naive about women and relationships, but tries so hard to impress and protect Renee -- the result is often very funny, but still very sweet. Renee is sweet, but I did wish that she had a little more self-confidence. Kai's love for her helped with that, though. I do hope that Liz and those wolves get what is coming to them soon -- I would love to see the Oracle make them pay.

Kai and Renee's story is so heartwarming. I really enjoyed this, the second book in the Awakened Sea Dragons series. Kai an Awakened Sea Dragon has had the least interaction with humans out of all the dragons we've met to date. That makes him so endearing to the reader and I must admit that Kai is my favourite so far! The intrigue that runs through the whole series continues and escalates during this book and I look forward to the next instalment to discover where Ms Bolryder is taking us with these dragons.

Renee was hesitant at first to join her friend on a trip to Hawaii, but after a while was glad she agreed to take the vacation. When the man her friend is interested in seems to prefer Renee, her trip and her friendship become unpleasant. Kai is happy to be out of the mansion and near the sea, but he wasn't sure he would find his mate until he saw Renee. Renee and Kia are fun, well written characters. Sexy, exciting, and a little suspense, a must read romance, with a happily ever after.

Great book! Terry Bolryder's dragons never fail to charm me, and the Tourmaline dragon, Kai, is no exception. He's a sea dragon, clueless about life on land and how to win his human mate, and he's sweetly awkward as he woos the spunky Renee. Renee is a plus-size beauty with a fear of water and the bad habit of letting others put her down. It's a pleasure to see her character gain confidence and strength as her relationship with Kai progresses. They make a cute couple, and a fearsome team for fighting evil.

Another wonderful addition to the world that Ms. Bolryder has created! I never get tired of reading about the dragons. I have a special soft spot for Kai. Of all the Awakened Dragons, he seemed the most lost and unsure of himself in this new time. It was wonderful to see him find Renee and finally be happy again. I am sooooo looking forward to Marina's story. The hint of who her mate is in this book is so awesome but I won't spoil it for those who haven't read it yet! So in closing, I highly recommend you get this book!!!!

Kai and Renee's story has plenty of sweet romance and mysterious danger to keep the pages turning. Kai's lack of understanding of humans and modern times makes for some hilarious moments! Renee is sweet but damaged and finally comes to believe in her own worth. I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary review.

Renee is a slightly overweight human who has always been ridiculed about her weight so having confidence in her looks and body is not something she has. When Kai first sees Renee, his dragon recognizes her as his mate, but Renee can't understand why someone who looks as good as he does would be interested in her. Great book, loved it!

Kai, sea dragon and brother of Seaton and Marina can’t wait to back in the sea.. and in dragon form. But he can’t transform until he gets a mate. He decides to take a job an a cruise ship to be near the water. What he didn’t expect was to also find a mate..on his cruise! His innocence and straight forward words to get her attention are hilarious and dont work. Must read! Better than the first one.

It's usually the girl and it was interesting to see how they helped each other with their fears and insecurities. I knew I hated Renee's friend Liz. She was the trouble maker. And I can't wait to read about Kia's dragon sister and Mercury, which I think may be her next book in this series, at least I hope so!!

Another great read from this author. I must say I’ve always had a thing for the dark and brooding guys and she hits the nail right on the head. Kia is the perfect mix of dark and mysterious, yet strong and sweet. I look forward to all new releases. Haven’t been disappointed yet. The only reason I didn’t give a full five stars is because the heroine was just a little to insecure at times. I get it it’s a part of the charm but at times I was like this chick needs some counseling. But it all pulled its self together in the end. I’m looking forward to Mercury’s story. I want him to find love so bad.!!!!

Wow! Sizzling! Kai is stormy and angry about being on land. He's a sea dragon and wants to return to the sea. Until he meets his venus and mate, Renee. Kai immediately goes into protective mode, especially when her friend, Liz, tries to come between them. Renee can't believe Kai would find her beautiful, when she is not skinny like Liz. This second book in the Awakened Sea Dragons series was great! I loved Kai and his human mate, Renee. Kai has no idea how to interact with a human woman and curvy Renee has never felt beautiful and sexy until Kai. The misunderstandings and false starts are endearing and funny. Of course there is danger and a few rescues, but all will be well in the end. Can't wait for Marina's story.

I loved this second book in the sea dragons series. Kai is something else, loved how the other dragons put him out because of all the trouble he likes to cause. Renee had some self confident issues and is going on a vacation. Kai and Renee are what each other needs and great together. Loved Kai honesty and how Renee and he interact together. This was a fun and exciting read, loved and enjoyed this book.

I habe read every one off her shifter books, not a bad one in the bunch. They all are different and don't fall in the same wording and scenes as some series do.
I liked the Kai' s inexperience showed in this one. I knew there was something about Liz and I didn't even guess it right, which is refreshing.
I can't wait for Marina's story, I hope she ends up with mercury.

I have enjoyed reading the books in this series. The premise of dragons being dropped into the modern world after centuries asleep is a fun idea. How they adapt while finding their mates makes an entertaining story. Well worth reading.

I gave this for stars because I love Me Bolryders dragons even if some of the heroines complain a little to much about bein big girls. However her characters are fun to get to know and love them dragons just take your breath away.

I love reading about the dragons they are my absolute favorite. They are so sweet but powerful and so very alpha male. The way they take care of the ones they love. When you read its like you can feel it come off the page

Been following this series for a long time since Onyx came out. Very intriguing read. I thought Tourmaline would be same as Seatons. I was really surprised by the plot twister. I read a lot of paranormal romances. My favorite being Lora Leigh. Terry Bolryder is one of my top 5. As soon as I see her name on upcoming books, I mark my calendar.

In a world in so much turmoil. It seems necessary to escape to one that holds true to values we all seem to be missing lately. One where the emphasis is on the meaningful things in life, understanding, forgiveness, and ultimately trust,which allows love to flourish.
