Don't Rush Me (Nora Jacobs Book One)

What an amazing start to this series! Depth, humor, a little romance and an amazing cast of characters. Nora has been through hell and back but has come out the other side as a tough but caring person. Please tell me I don't have to wait too long for the next book in this series!!!

This book is amazing the story is ever so slowly burning. I wanted to read this book to the veryh end. Nora Jacobs was an amazing and sassy character. She kicks butt and shows alot of things in a tough matter. Though I was kind of sad that there is no second book of this. I was so sad and INCHING to read the second book!! So the review is so easy to tell which is duhh... above amazing!!!

I'm really hoping this team of authors are the type that like to write fast. I'm now looking forward to the next book in this series probably more than any other right now. I love all the characters and can't wait to see what happens next.

This book was way more than I expected it to be and I couldn't be more happier! I LOVED Nora and her attitude. The guys are all great but I can't help but snicker when Nora turns down the powerful vampire Henry so easily. Please if your a fan of RH read this. You will not regret it!

Great start to a new series, and a new author combo. Fresh and exciting take on the "human" or is she completely human MC getting sucked into the action-packed and dangerous world of the paranormal.

Nora is a strong kick-xxx don't-mess-with-me or my friends MC!! Nora rock's! As does her group of loyal friends. Loved Terrance! Can't wait to read the next book. Hopefully this series goes on for a long time!!

I have this event coming up that has got me super stressed. I’ve been preparing for months and I was hoping to find a book that would pull me in as a sort of distraction...to stop my inward panic. I’m so glad I stumbled into this book! The plot and characters were endearing and well thought out. The details in the story were phenomenal. A+ authors.

An original landscape and plot, with very well defined characters. This was exciting and fun to read, with principals who are developing their serious skills but don't take themselves too seriously. Humorous, touching, and sometimes a bit terrifying. Can't wait for the sequel!

I must say this is an amazing read!! Worth a lot more than just $3. I love how the main character dose not take shit from anyone but also knows when to pick her battles. This is not one of those books where you read it once and are done with it, this is a book that you can come back and reread and still enjoy it. I hope they come out with more of this serious soon!!!!

Well written. Definitely a young adult novel, very playful and funny. Overall a satisfying plot line and lovable characters. If you like A & E Kirk, I think you will enjoy this series. Also, thank you for being one of the few YA authors who does not end on a cliff hanger. It is appreciated!!

The characters have heart, humor & irresistible quirks! A heroine who is capable on her own, but finds that life is better with the friends she can trust. A good fight against evil and learning that everyone even monsters can be good.

This book is incredibly good. I picked it up as a lark, and could not stop reading. The prose is crisp, the grammar is spot on, and the story is complete and fantastic. I have thousands of books, and this is the first one I have reviewed. I can't wait for the next one, and I am going to see if there are any more books from this author.

I took a chance and am glad I did. Well thought out story. Great work building. Loved the heroine who was brave but not stupid about it. Loved the humor. What more can I gush? Absolutely recommend this story and can't wait for more! (Please let there be more soon!)

Really enjoy the sassy characters. I am eager to see more of this group and I am enjoying the authors choices so far. I'm always glad when an author isn't afraid of dark themes and situations. After all fiction is for all the things that either don't, shouldn't or can't exist in reality. Keep up the good work.

Good read. The characters are solid and well written. The only critique I’d really have of the book is that her male characters are too “soft for men who grew up/ live in Detroit. Although this is also only the first book and we’ve yet to see characters fully bloom, so I might be wrong in the long run.

Not sure why there are so many glowing reviews for this book. I struggled to get thru it. I read this book after reading the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews in hope to read another great series with a strong main character. This story fell flat and found myself getting annoyed with the main character

I've been in a bit of a book funk lately, not being able to find anything all that great. But this book knocked my socks off!! The level of detail and the character development was great. One of the best books I've read in a while. I'm definitely going to keep an eye on this author, and this series.

Loved it! I read this after finding it recommended by someone on another author's FB page. I'm so glad I read it. My only disappointment is that there aren't more books in the series yet. I love this book! I randomly found this and wasnt expecting much and then was immediately hooked! I ended up raging all night! The lead is sassy and intelligent. A girl with a troubled past and an uncertain future takes on the underworld. It has vibes of the Lost Girl TV series without being to similar. I'm ready got my next installment!

Jackie may is, so far, top drawer writer. I have read , don't cheat me, and don't rush me. Both a really good reading experience. I would recommend both to all my friends and to anyone who likes to read and enjoys a good story. Try them. PENNY.

I started reading this book because I was becoming tired of the the criminal suspense genre. I really enjoyed this fast paced easy reading fantasy. It keeps you on your toes wondering what is going to happen next and if and who will become a romantic interest. Have fun reading.

I thought this book was okay but I just couldn’t connect with the characters. I found the main character’s personality to be a bit off. For someone who had never had friends or family, she seemed to be a little too good in social situations. I don’t know if I will continue with the series.

Since getting unlimited, I have gotten bored after reading so many books. This is the first one in quite a while I loved enough to reread. Storyline is great and the snarky humor is funny. Main character is tough but still actually likeable. Very much enjoyed this one!

This book had it all. Slow build, some triggers, but well written and action packed. I really don’t like Henry, but it’s a toss up for who I like more. Nick the unknown, Terrance the troll, Parker the vamp, or Oliver the sorcerer. I’m ready for book 2!

I've read too many books, so I am a harsh critic, but this baby is a breath of fresh air. Same paranormal characters wrapped up in a new unique bundle. Everyone of them is believable and their chemistry is effervescent. Such a delightful read with wit and verve.

This is a fresh idea for a fantasy series. I bonded with all the characters and enjoyed the connections they made. I am looking forward to reading more from these authors and am excited to find out what kind of Underworlder Nora is!

I gave this book 5 stars because it’s difficult for a book to capture my attention and this book truly did. It’s an easy read and I mean that in a good way....you can follow story, get involved with the characters and stay engaged. Vampires, fairies, werewolves, trolls, and a special human smack in the middle..ready for the next book!

Best PNB I've read in a while! The author has done a fantastic job drawing you in to each and every character. I feel like I know all of them...this series could go in 100 different ways ... REALLY glad I gave this series a chance!!!

I loved this book! The main character is amazing, she's real, sarcastic, and relatable! The story line was so fun and kept moving at a great pace there was never a slow part to the book. All the male characters were beautifully written you can picture them. A must read!

Naruto was a perfect heroin she was so spunky and funny. I love the fact that even though she had a more than one wife pass she was still very courageous and brave and push through it. And the guys they were just so swoon-worthy and funny so worth the read.

The heroine is fun and tough with that little bit of broken that makes everything better. The characters are unconventional and the plot goes on crazy straw turns. It had me from the first paragraph and wouldn't let go.

I actually loved this book. It was different and had a real plot unlike so many other books. The story was captivating and had a lot of darkness that was balanced with some humor to keep me reading. I look forward to reading more from Jackie May

I came into this not totally expecting what I got but what I got was soo much better than expected. Well worth the read. I read it as KU but will definitely buy it now and any others in the series to come!

Quirky, imperfect heroine. Learn or to listen to stereo types, plenty of action to keep you interested and entertained. Loved the twists on the various supernatural races. Well written and well edited.

I enjoy books on paranormals, etc. Takes place in Detroit and surrounding area, and tickles me since that is where I live. Great story, characters and not a boring moment. You won't put this one down!
