"Marked" by Elisabeth Naughton was a good read. Like most books today it had its share of sex & innuendo. You could still follow the storyline. Unlike some books I've read recently though, this book kept my interest & attention. It was the first book I've read from this author but it won't be the last.

Wow, steamy hot and ice cold all at once.....mmmmmmmm.yum. 20% into this I thought hmmm Laura Leigh here we come, yay me. At 52% I thought ooooo got some Ms. Kenyon darkhunter spice going on!

I don't even know where to begin besides that it is a must read. Buy it now, it's totally awesome. Cool and icy Casey is the perfect foil to her unknown and seriously underestimated sister. The Argonauts are just too hot with way too much machismo for their own good...... Don't wanna spoil it for you, you just gotta read it!

I don't recall reading a paranormal romance with a greek god mythos before so this was a nice change from vampires, werewolves, etc. I don't know a lot about greek mythology (that was my sister's specialty) but that did not interfere with my enjoying the book. I won't go into the plot as that has been sumarized very nicely previously. Some of it was silly (like the Misos not realizing they could be tracked by cellphones!) but mostly it was enjoyable. I liked it enough to want to read the next book in the series, which is probably the purpose of offering this one free for kindle awhile back... I hope the next book is even better!

This book was interesting. Seeing someone else's take on gods and demi gods really made me want to read it and go on to the next book. I think only flaw in this is the complications the author made.I know a book needs to have a good story but she shouldn't have made such complcations. I was getting a little lost toward the end but all in all the book was something I defintely enjoyed and will be reading more of

Exciting read, love Elisabeth`s work, she's a fantastic writer. The Greek mythology was great and entertaining , the story carries you along on a fantastic journey you don't want to end. Gorgeous men, steamy sex scenes and lots of Sexy hard hot bodies. It's a great story about prophecies and destinies that the gods have put into motion. Learning new and extraordinary things along the way is bringing the characters together in a way they never thought possible. This is going to be a fantastic series, on to the next one.

I LOVED the Greek mythology (I always have). I LOVED the characters! So well fleshed out that you couldn't doubt their realism! The plot was Amazing. Right from the beginning I was pulled in & couldn't let go! And the Romance was truly hotter than Hades! I read a book a day and after reading 3 books now from this author, I am just Blown Away by her Talent! So take it from someone who's read A lot, you Definitely want to read this book, a beginning of an amazing series and you Really got to check out her other books! I certainly will be!

Elisabeth Naughton is becoming one of my favorite authors. I read "Wait for me" and loved it which prompted me to read "Marked". Ms Naughton did not disappoint. It's one of those plots that makes your mind whirl wondering what is going to happen next. I found myself thinking ahead trying to preempt the repercussions of the characters' choices. "Marked" is romance, suspense and sci-fi all rolled in one yummy package. It is a wonderful first course for "Eternal Guardian" series. It leaves you salivating for more.

This is a page turner, It really kept my interest. A nice romance, a good mix of characters. Bit of a thriller.
Only 4 stars because... I didn't feel the big deal about Theron being this big time great and powerful guardian as the book tries to make him out to be, mostly because he kept getting the crap beat out of him time and time again.
But it was a good book and I look forward to the others in this series.

I DO recommend this book...

Happy reading Ya'll............

Marked is the start of the Eternal Guardian Series and it isn't without flaws. In saying that the series does pick up after this first book, which is a good read, just not as good as it could have been. There were some major stumbles in Naughton's world building, and the romance seems rushed at times. I hung on and the series as a whole gets better.

This is a good book and an entertaining story. Problem is that it is the start of a series and leaves loose ends. There were a couple of minor characters that I would have liked to have an answer/conclusion. I don't know if I like the book enough to get more of the series.

3.5 stars because I actually read this book twice by accident. The first time was a long time back, and although it sounded familiar, I couldn't remember any details. So the second time around, it was like a new book. I enjoyed it the second time around as well. It's a solid paranormal romance but there aren't any glaringly unique ideas in it. I'd still read more in the series.

This book started off pretty strong but started losing my interest around the 70% mark, regaining it around the 90% area. It had a few confusing moments but most of it was explained by the end of the book. The rest will probably be sorted out in the rest of the series. Maybe. I intend to read the next book, hopefully it will be as good or better than this one and hold my interest.

Omg, never read anything that played out Greek mythology this way. I loved every page. Fierce fighting, wars, arguing, making up, and love making. And yes there is a difference between the two! Am buying the entire series right now! If you like Greek mythology at all.....PLEASE give this series as chance, you won't regret it! The in depth character plots and the amazing tie ins will definitely throw you for a loop. Get ready for a great thrill ride.

I bought this book with a bertrice small book. I thought that I would finish Ms. Small's book first cause it was something I enjoyed in the past. I was wrong. After reading the first chapter of both, it was Marked that I couldn't put down.

The one thing that frustrated me was the "love scenes". It never finished until the end of the book. There were a lot of great starts...but never a finish...
Well..it worked. I kept reading....

I am now buying the next book. Good job Ms. Naughton!

I debated between a four and five star. I decided on the five star review because the Greek God story line is really creative, makes sense, and flows nicely. I'm highly attracted to the "bad-ass" look and vibe of the male characters. The reason I thought of only giving a four star is because toward the end of the book I found myself skim reading paragraphs through a slow part. However, the ending picked right back up.

I actually read my first book by Naughton in paperback and it was 'Tempted' and I was instantly in love with the characters! It was so good I decided to come back and starting with this one, the first in the series, read them all! And this one did not dissapoint! SO good! I have to say Naughton knows exactly how to create a strong, sexy male hero in her books that makes your heart beat a little faster, and Theron is no exception! I will definitely be continuing on through the series.

This is an exciting intense read that will have you on the edge of your seat anticipating what's going to happen next. The story has murder, destruction, mayhem, jealousy and passion. You are taken from Earth, other dimensions and Hell. This author knows how to tell a story that will have you wanting to know what happens next...so on to volume 2...Enjoy I did.

If you are looking for a new SMOKING HOT paranormal romance this is it. Guardians takes me back to the old days when Kenyon's Dark Hunter series first came out. It's SIZZLING, SEXY, SASSY, and action packed. Say hello to the new Yummy Males that make your mouth water and your hearts fill. Absolutely must-read every one! Nick is my favorite. Who's yours ?

The plot and storyline was a little fumbled and confusing in some places, but all around pretty good. Some of the mythology is stretched or revamped in some areas, but hey, none of us really know the TRUE stories of the gods. Either way, bungled or not, it's a good read. It kept me entertained, and I enjoyed it enough to complete it within hours. Looking forward to the next installment. Well worth a read if you like Greek mythology romances, it will hit the spot!

I very much enjoyed this twist on Greek mythology Naughton created. There was action, humor, passion and romance. This book had a little bit of it all. Big, hunky Argonaut guardians, please please! Loved Theron and Casey. I'm also very interested in learning more about Nick. All the characters, even the more minor ones, were well written and interesting. Will definitely be reading more about these Argonauts and Misos.

Still wished there would have been more books to this series but i definately rate this a great book.

Never thought I would like this type of story but how many of us can say that we never have dreamed about a man such as Thorn, dark and dangerous walking into our life and being our protector? Not many my age anyway. Lol, Really a great charged read. I loved it I felt every thing happen as I read. keeps you wanting more. You will not be sorry.

PJVs QUICKIE POV: I seem to go through fazes... the theme of the month are the Olympians. Always a big fan of those naughty gods and goddesses Naughton's Eternal Guardians had my interest piqued from the get-go. Pair in some huge manly warriors, seedy strip-clubs and a secret world - you might have a plot line that has been used a few times before - but it still had me entertained.

REVIEW: Casey is a restless spirit, never one to fit in, she went from place to place, job to job looking for companionship, a life, a meaning. She thinks she has found it, with a bookstore, a little house and a friend. Her little world though, is turned upside down when a highly attractive man comes into the bar she works, catches her as she trips - then ignores her and literally carries a gorgeous blond out the back door.

Theron is an Argonaut, from the line of Heracles. He is in line for the throne, set to marry the heir to the current ruler. While not thrilled with the idea, he is there to serve, he is a warrior, a protector and he will have to be a strong ruler for his people, because the princess while a good person is not strong enough to rule. When she sneaks away to the human world, Theron must find her and bring her back home. He doesn't plan on being ambushed by daemons or to be saved by a human woman - a human woman that he can't seem to keep his hands off.

Marked followed similar lines that most Paranormal Romance books follow - Clueless female that encounters paranormal male, is sucked into his world and then finds out she might be a part of that world. They find they are destined to be together but extenuating circumstances have them fighting more than f... well you know what I mean. The world was original, while the algorithm was not. I did enjoy reading though, I just didn't analyze it too much. I'm usually not a fan of "Fated Soul-Mates" but this one actually worked for me. They fought against it enough that the fall was worked for, and all the hidden truths and such made it almost seem an impossible love, thus keeping me on my toes. There was a bit too much teasing...I was screaming at some point "Just Get It On" to Theron & Casey, they sure did drag their feet enough. I will be reading the second book, but I don't know how quickly I will get to it, since I heard Naughton has switched publishers and the 3rd books release will be delayed. Like to read these babies back to back. Entwined (Eternal Guardians) covers Zander which is the one I was hoping for in the next one. The reason for my lower than usual rating is the unoriginal plot and the fact that the antagonist was a bit overdone. I mean really, what did Daddy not love you that much that you now have to exterminate an entire race???

RECOMMENDATIONS: Adults only, this is a PNR and there are a few love scenes. Fan of Greek Mythology might enjoy, similar to BDB series - at least the big throbbing muscular men are ;)

Whoever decides to offer Kindle books for 0.00 is really smart! I doubt I would have been swayed to try this genre at all if it had not been offered for free. I am so happy that I did!

I liked the story Casey and Theron, they have some very sexy scenes that were HOT! HOT! HOT! What is not to love about story about the Hero of all Heroes, not to mention he is so drop dead gorgeous? I am off to find more books about these other hunky Argonauts, and more than willing to pay to read this author.

Keep up the good work!

Greek Gods, hunky heroes with a wicked side and feisty women and of course complex worlds - good combination if you are looking for a good read and Elizabeth Naughton writes it very well. We watch Theron and Casy battle soul mate sickness but we know they will lose and will get together and we are introduced to some fascinating characters that we hope we will meet again at a later time, and lots of battles against evil. What's not to like? Looking forward to the next one.

I don't usually write reviews, but after reading the first book (and going back and immediately buying the other two and preordering the last), I knew I needed to commend this author for a great series.

I love to read - it is what I do to relax and unwind at night before bed so I don't want to read LOTRs, or the Dune series, etc etc (although I love those books when I am looking for a tough and consuming read) but I also don't want trashy romance novels that leave you disgusted with the female lead and not at all convinced the male lead is worth the hassle. And I won't even get started on the storyline/plot.

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I like fantasy-esque books - meaning plausible like Star Wars, LOTR, Dune, etc. Something that is set in another time, place, dimension, etc but that isn't too kooky or out there. I like romance, happy endings (as long as they believable), a little realistic sex, and a REALLY good storyline/plot to keep it moving and interesting.

I couldn't put this or the other two down. I was genuinely interested in the characters. Not just the leads but the supporting actors as well - what made them tick, what powers they bring to the table, how the evil lady got evil, the sacrifices that were made to save their world, etc etc.

I can't wait for the next book and hope she keeps writing - my hope is that each of the argonauts gets a story so I don't have to worry for some time that this series will be over!

And I enjoyed the refreshers on my Greek mythology as well as the authors twist on that world.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in a good romance novel with a truly engaging plot.

Great read; full of myth and legends coming to life in a unique and believable way. Her premise of ancient heroes living in a different dimension resonates with the stories of Mt. Olympus and the fates and well all of the Greek Myths. I loved the Greek myths and legends as a child and read them voraciously. I intend to do the same with this series! It has Two strong female leads and some kickass heroes to boot! Loved it.

I liked the premise of this book. Gorgeous, broad-shouldered, fit, demi-gods who protect not only their Atlantis-like world, but our world as well is something I like reading about. I also like the female characters as they are strong. What I don't like is as follows:

-The characters are too homogenous. I would like to see the author expand the character base to be more representative of the peoples of the world. Also, given that we have a bunch of gladiator-type men, I would think that there would be some variety in terms of how the women look. I recognize that the 3 sisters will be similar in looks and build, but please branch out. I'm not asking for 300 pound women or anything, but someone, say a size 12 wouldn't be bad either.

-The authors writing style is somewhat weird, for lack of a better word. The stories start out well written, and then the profanity-laced dialogue becomes awkward at times. Perhaps it's just my social circle, but I don't know people who speak like this.
Overall, I liked the book and did purchase the next book. The book flows well and the characters, even the bad ones, are likeable.

I loved Greek Mythology as a child and really enjoyed this story that took Greek Mythology and made an excellent story. Free books are read with trepidation because they are free but this book makes me want to continue the series...so if course I'll pay for book 2 with pleasure..

I almost skipped over this book because of reviews, But I've found books like this before that was pure gold regardless of the reviews. It isn't my normally type of book or series, But this book blew me away. There is never a dull moment and the people in the book really come alive for me. None of them was the same. It's a not a slow read either you get more then your moneys worth. working on the next book now.

Naughton's spin on the heroes of Greek mythology is exciting. Casey and Isadora are both opposite sides of the same coin, and I cannot wait to follow them through this series. Of course, Theron is the typical tough guy, until he falls in love. The characters were well rounded and the story captivated me long after I should have gone to bed. I will definitely purchase the other books in this series.

I enjoyed reading about Theron and Acacia. Their relationship developed slowly, but steadily. The fact that Theron was torn between duty and love allows the reader to want to read more to discover how it will turnout. I am now reading the next book in this series and I love the two main characters in Entwined. Do not stop with the first book!

This was a well written, well rounded book. There's some good, ol' fashioned violence, some suspenseful bits, a little less naughtiness than I would've guessed, and an interesting story.I really dig the way Naughton developed the main characters, though. I was originally going to give it 4 stars, but the more I think about it, the more I think it deserves 5.

I liked the hero, He surprised me with his decisions. I thought that he was going to fall in line with the status quo, despite what I know of romance novels happy endings. The heroine could use some work, she was not as strong, i like her sister more. However, this book was a good read.

This whole series is addictive. I managed to catch the first one free on Kindle and had to read the rest. I particularly love the dynamics between Demetrius and Isadora (which gets resolved in the 3rd book, btw). I love the mix of mythology and the contemporary world. Also, the characters seem quite real, with volatile, conflicting emotions and plenty of realistic reactions to the events that occur. Waiting (im)patiently for the rest of the series.

This book was recommended to me by a friend/paranormal/blogger like me and warned me that I wouldn't be able to put it down. She was right!! Elisabeth Naughton's writing and charisma of her characters keep you entranced in the storyline and not once was there a lull in the action/drama/romance dept. I've continued reading the series and looking forward to seeing each characters growth as their stories continue.

This was a good love story between Theron and Acacia. There were some pretty steamy love scenes. But the story is so confusing it was hard to keep up with who was who and where did they come from. There was to many characters thrown into the story that sometimes I would have to go back and reread to make sure I understood or didn't miss something.
