Fallen is a great read! Very well crafted, both story and characters. Nick Stephens is a great story teller! Don't start this book in the evening if you need to sleep that night! you won't be able to put it down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The story kept my interest. The characters were real and believable. I enjoy stories in series so I can revisit characters which I enjoyed. The only thing I would criticize, is I saw many grammatical errors.

Excellent- Just finished reading ALL of his novels in order and this one wraps things up beautifully.
I know these can be read individually but it really is better if you read them in order.
I love these types of books , big action fan Nick Stephenson is a new writer to add to my list (Child, Baldacci, Crais et al)
The interplay between Leopold and his bodyguard (Jerome) is both comical and action packed- If you Like Harlen Cobens Myron Bolitar & Win or Robert Crais Elvis Cole & Joe Pike - then you will enjoy this!

Its worth mentioning that all the books in this series offer superb value for money with "Wanted" costing the princely sum of 0.00c!!! the others costing between $3.94 - $5.99.
Breach of Power (The Action-Packed Jake Pendleton Political Thriller series Book 3) :: Departed (A Private Investigator Series of Crime and Suspense Thrillers :: The Toymaker (The Action-Packed Jake Pendleton Political Thriller series Book 2) :: BLOWN (Gregg Kaplan Thriller Series Book 1) :: FATAL GREED (Greed Series #1)

This book was really dull. I absolutely did not care about any of the characters, they were all poorly written. Plot was Ludacris even compared to most kindle trash. Ending was piss poor with little character arc. A lot of clichés.

Another good Leopold Drake read.

This one starts with a man turning himself into the FBI. He's a guy with an agenda and he needs to be in custody at the J Egar Hoover building to complete his plans. Of course he sure as hell doesn't tell the FBI this. He does tell them that he needs to speak with the Director of the FBI.

The director of the FBI, Richard Ward, meets the man and is told that Leopold Drake needs to be there as well. Ward calls Drake and sends agents to get him to DC.

Drake is still trying to find out who bought his Chem company in France. A company that was stolen out from under him. Mary Jordan, an NYPD Sgt, has a man that Drake needs to meet. Unfortunately Drake is late because of an interview.

Mary's informant is scared to death and he doesn't hang around. No Blake and the guy is gone. Mary is pissed as hell but knows its just another Blake snafu like so many others.

Drake finally arrives and Mary leaves. She's pissed at Drake again.

Blake and Jordan his bodyguard go home where Blake gets a call from the Director Ward. He and Jordan are whisked to DC.

Blake and Jordan are taken to the cell where the mysterious guest is housed. Blake takes one look at the man and knows he's looking at his dead Father.

So begins one damned fine read.

This one has Leopold, Jordan, Mary, her sister Kate, Richard Blake, Director Ward, kidnapping, explosions, Richard Blakes merc team lead by Hawke, a trip to Shanghai for Leopold and Jordan, a CIA agent named Kane, Richard Blakes plan to kill thousands and make a fortune on the stock market at the same time, revenge, murder, NYPD SWAT and Leopold Drake finding answers that are decades old and doing something he never thought he could ever do.

One super read and well worth those five stars.

Fallen is book 5 in the "Private Investigator Series of Crime and Suspense Thriller" by Nick Stephenson. Leopold Blake takes a back seat to Mary Jordan who seems to be the stronger character in this story. Presumed for dead, Leopold goes into hiding and is at the mercy of others as he tries to figure out who and why he was targeted. Mary takes the lead in the investigation as she works against time to stop the terrorist attack on NYC.

Mr. Stephenson is becoming a great storyteller. Fallen is more cohesive and better developed than some of the previous books in this series (though I recommend using a technical editor to catch the more obvious errors). My kudos to him as he creates an intriguing web. It's fun to see the story untangle.

The tension of almost having been killed and the resulting separation moves the relationship between Leopold and Mary forward. At last. I'm looking forward to seeing if this relation continues in the next story.

If you are a fan of Leopold Blake, you'll like this story.

As usual I really enjoyed this story. The author is able to make the story exciting and filled with urgency without kidnapping and torturing à female. The females in thé story are in danger right along with the men. I guess we can say he is an equal opportunity author. He is also able to get à point across without à lot of profanity.

This was my favorite of the Leopold Blake series because Leopold finally becomes an action hero not just a brainy star. Two of the other books laid the groundwork for this one. A final confrontation with the ultimate bad guy Blake's own criminal mastermind father Robert. Lots of close calls for the Blake, Jerome, Mary team during the chase to stop a major attack on NYC by Robert Blake. Plenty of action for the adrenaline junkies. At the end Leopold has to face the consequences of his actions, inactions and his feelings. Major supporting characters are well rounded out too which makes for an enjoyable read. Like any good play, the starts need a good supporting cast which Nick Stephenson provides big time in this story.

while it got confusing in some parts, overall it was a turn paging thriller. it had a couple of main plots and a main terrorist plot to destroy NewYorkCity and put its residents in a major panic. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a good thriller read.

An interesting read. The first several chapters bear a very close resemblance to the first episode of the tv drama "The Blacklist". However, once you get past that the story is fast paced and keeps you reading to see what happens.
