This book was very captivating and was very hard to put down! It was a book that holds your attention , you feel you know the characters personally!! Author was very knowledgeable about the "toys" he made come to life and how to "play" with them . Was hoping for another book..,

Good development and a great pace. This book continues the story from the first book as well as adding a new plot line. The book holds you captive in a good way. I enjoy the stories and the character development.

Excellent book a real page turner. I am a retired CPA and this book almost had more excitement than I could
Stand. It was a long way from Nora Roberts; however I plan to read more of his books,

After reading the Savannah Project, Mr. Barrett's first book, I could not wait to get my hands on this new "project" to see where I would be taken on this journey. He has a way of inviting you into this would of murder and mystery and making you feel as if you are transported into the many twists and turns he has gifted us with. Could not put it down!! More!! More!!

Pretty good book. I really enjoyed it. Great storyline, fun characters.

The only issue I had with this book was at about the halfway mark, it looked like it could use an editor. Misspelled words, wrong punctuation, and the need for some polish. There were also some formatting issues in my kindle version. All these things would pull me out of the story. But by the end of the book, there weren't these problems.

Great story and am looking forward to reading the sequel.

Fast moving action/adventure with interesting characters and a solid plot line. Good entertainment, quick read with no glaring issues, though I did think the female characters were less well developed than the male characters.

Second book of a series and have the first now on my to-read list.

Will definitely appeal to fans of Clancy, etc.

Obviously, the author does not have an intelligence background which results in implausible scenarios. (1). An Irish assassin in a large estate with no external security system who then takes time to torture two CIA hit men with no overwhelming and immediate backup. (2). A CIA team leader who shoots at the assassin five times at close range without doing serious damage. (3). CIA operatives allowed to operate in Australian outback without immediate Australian Intelligence or military supervision. All these defects in the first few chapters. Stopped reading.

The Toymaker is fantastic! It is packed full of action along with many twists and turns. As much as I enjoyed Mr. Barrett's first book, The Savannah Project, this one blew me away. I will definitely add any books by Mr. Barrett to my must read list!
