A Mighty Fortress (Hymns of the West Book 1)

Enjoyable reading. A christian fiction novel set in the late 1800's. The story of God's mercy and forgiveness, even for a hardened outlaw. The proof that it is never too late to receive God's forgiveness and grace.

Very good. I had downloaded "Be Thou My Vision", which is one of my favorite songs, and I saw it was Book 2, so I bought Book 1, A Mighty Fortress. I read both and then bought Book 3, Amazing Grace. I hope she writes another one. I like books about life at this time.

The best written inspirational novel I've read. The story line is exciting, and takes one through the trials and joys of the Christian life. Stays very close to the accuracy of the scriptures, and holds fast to the realities of the exciting life in Christ

Obviously a new writer - with plenty of potential. The family scenes and interaction are good. The outlaw segment is "stiff" - uncomfortable to read. Keeps the story from flowing and gripping the reader's attention.
