This book is wonderfully comforting to me, a daughter whose Mom has Alzheimer's disease. It's very honest and real in the issues that families face when trying to figure out the "new normal" when living with and loving someone with dementia. Thank you Kimberly Williams Paisley for your transparency.

I genuinely liked the book. It kept my interest and I felt completely engaged in the story. I felt empathy for all those involved. The reason I gave the book 4 stars instead of 5 is because I found the author unlikable and cold. I hate to even say it because I feel that she is entitled to be angry, bitter, and anything else she feels about her mom's ailment. Obviously I don't know her so I don't know her personality outside of this part of her life, but she just seemed more detached than I was expecting. She seemed annoyed and put out by the whole thing and I just found that aspect to be off-putting. Like I said before, the story is moving and engaging. It pulls you in from the moment you begin reading it so I would recommend it.

I highly recommend this to anyone dealing with Alzheimer's or dementia. I have read twice already and will probably pick it up again at some point. I have passed the book on to family members so they will understand what goes on as time progresses. It is a beautiful, honest story with a wealth of information, big and small; from practicing patience, understanding the illness and navigating the health system. Their story will aid many of us when having to make decisions for loved ones and for some of those tough issues that will need to be tackled in the future. Thank you Kimberly and Linda for sharing your story.

This book was a totally awesome read that touched me right down to my soul! My mother was diagnosed one year ago with Alzheimer's disease and her sister, my sweet aunt the year prior. I have to commend Kimberly on her absolute courage when facing this horrible disease! I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to find comfort in knowing how much "worse" life an be. Thank you, Kim for sharing this with the world!

My mom had dementia and passed away one year ago. This is a hard disease to deal with. We did it with humor. This disease affects everyone. Miss Kim thank you for writing such wonderful words. It has helped me even more.

This is a heartfelt story of a families tragedy and triumphs through the journey of a debilitating illness. It will make you laugh and cry and give sound sage advice at the same time. Mostly it will encourage and minister to families in more ways than anticipated.
