I started thinking what even is this? During the first few chapters but then as I continued reading, I couldn't put my kindle down. I fell in love with the characters and will also purchase the paperback version of the book.

I received this book for an honest review, and that's what you all will get.

Beast....
Tale as old as time....
True as it can be.......
Barely even friends......
Then somebody bends......
UNEXPECTEDLY

Bella, a beautiful soul, who got caught up in the whole reality star life. Now trying to escape and go back to a "normal" life meets her Beast in a totally unexpected way.

Javi, a scared soul, looking for revenge for the torture and pain from his younger life. As he captures what he thinks will be an easy task, he only ends up falling deep in love.

If you don't put this book on your MUST read NOW list you don't know what you are missing! This has a totally different outlook on the famous long time tale of Beauty and the Beast. A dark, twisted, and gut wrenching best book of 2017. Zavarelli has pulled every emotion I have out in this book and I know you will love it.

Wow. This book is dark. Very dark. Heed the warning at the beginning. That said, I couldn't put it down. It keeps you on edge and the twists and turns kept me reading. I would recommend, but beware, it is scary to think that people like this exist.
The Token Series Boxed Set (Volumes 1-3) - Alpha Billionaire Dark Romance :: Seizing Control (Black Shamrocks MC Book 1) :: You Loved Me At My Darkest :: Watch Me (Dark Obsession Book 1) :: Wings: A Dark Mafia Romance (Gilded Cage Book 1)

It is definitely a DARK tale. You have been warned.
You must have a stomach of steel for this one but in the end the story is moving and heart wrenching. Beautifully written and told. It is the perfect Beauty and the Beast.

I got caught up almost immediately by the characters. The story has so many twists, dips, turns, and highs that I literally had to keep reading to the end. This is one of a handful of books that I will revisit more than a few times.

I absolutely loved this book. It's very dark, but it has a way better storyline than over 99% of other romance novels. I will definitely keep this in my favorites collection. Highly recommended!!! Will be buying her other books too

This book was simply amazing. I normally shy away from "too dark" romances, but for some reason I decided to give this one a shot. I practically read it in one sitting. I loaned this book the my bestie, whom doesn't read romance, because I knew she would love it. Very well done! I'm looking forward to River's story.....

Such a good story, and a different plot from most. NO typos either!! Too bad there are so many traitors & liars out there today. Something we all can identify with. I will definitely be reading more by this author.

Broken, scarred and a walking threat of disaster to those around him. Javi is twisted and messed up in a way that seems quite hopeless as he struggles through life. Fast forward to horrible revenge with a a beautiful woman. An amazing read that kept me flipping the pages.

Beast is a twisted darker version of a Beauty and Beast fairytale unlike the one we learned as kids.

Bella is a gorgeous singer with a beautiful voice, but she is unhappy and lonely. Her father is always gone with his job and has kept many secrets about what he really does, so when he goes missing, she just wants answers. Javi has been obsessed with Bella from the moment he first saw her. He takes Bella for what first starts out as revenge against her father, but he soon realizes it might not be that black and white.

This was a darker story with some twists at the end that I did not anticipate. Although Javi is portrayed as the bad guy, I never found myself disliking him. I, along with Bella, seemed to see through his violence and anger to the man beneath. The man who had a terrible childhood and suffered. Bella is a strong character and I liked her instantly. She wavered with her feelings toward Javi and with the way the story is told, I couldn't blame her. Bella also has a little darkness in her, so I thought the two together made sense.

There's a secondary character that I think may have a story of his own to tell. I'd love to know what happens with him and his mystery girl.

Beast is told in dial POVs and I was happy with the ending.

Having read (and floved) all of the BOSTON UNDERGROUND series, I can say that this author knows how to write some gritty tales. While her BU heroes may have been mafia men who did "dirty deeds", their interactions with their leading ladies was more of a main stream romance. BEAST is definitely a departure from this formula and is without a doubt a DARK read.

I can't say a whole lot because it's best to walk in blind and allow the story to unfold before you. What I can tell you is Javier (Beast) and Isabella's relationship is born out of a p!ot for ruin and revenge. The story is a well written tale that shows the push and pull between the characters, the progression of captor and prisoner to something more and the conflicting emotions that follow. They may have fairytale names, but this is no "fairytale"; it's filled with violence and rage, psychological warfare with the intent to manipulate, hurt and ruin, lies and betrayals, twists and turns, as well as, love and forgiveness.... "scarytale" style.

There may not have been "heart and flowers" but I was absolutely riveted and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. While the author forwarns that this is a dark romance, please know there are possible triggers: cutting, dubious consent and psychological conditioning between a captor and his prisoner.

This story was definitely dark, as we were told. But it was also such a great read. Held me captivated from the beginning. You learn that his tortured soul is not the only one. She is just as dark and broken as he is!!
