I found this story very realistic. It was like reading about a young girl from your hometown. It was written through her eyes, with her thoughts and feelings. I enjoyed this book a lot. If you are looking for an easy read, uncomplicated story line, and a feel good book, this is for you.

This book is about two country music stars. One already famous and struggling to hold onto his success and one dreaming to make it to that level. Will they build each other up or ruin there success on the way? A great read. This is book one of a three part series.

This was awesome. From start to finish I was engrossed in this story of Trace and Kylie. Ive already bought the second book and am ready to delve in.
This fist installment had so much drama and heart wrenching moments. I'm rooting for these two.

I first discovered Caisey Quinn when I took a chance last summer on her Neon Dreams series which showed up as recommendations based on my purchases. I ended up loving them and had my eyes on the Kylie Ryans series for awhile when I decided to buy the first book to see if I liked it before I bought the entire series. I grew up in a small town listening to country music so books like this excite me plus I've lived most of my life in the upper Midwest and love reading about places south of here. Until I get the chance to visit, reading books will have to suffice!
Kylie Ryans is an 18-year-old girl who recently lost her beloved father and has nothing left in her hometown of Pride, Oklahoma. Her biggest dream is to be a country music singer so she heads off to Nashville, Tennessee where she starts applying for waitressing jobs so she can make some money while writing music. She signs up to sing at the same place where she ends up getting a job and it's obvious from the moment she sets foot on stage that she's meant to sing and play the guitar. Kylie meets country superstar Trace Corbin after she blows away the audience and she joins the rest of his tour in a business where there are plenty of aspiring singers wanting the same opportunities as Kylie. She just knows that she wants more than anything to pursue her dreams of becoming a country music singer because that will make her dad proud.
For the most part, I really enjoyed this book. The references to country singers, small towns and Nashville made me feel like I was there listening to the music and I was able to escape into Kylie's world. I loved Kylie's enthusiasm and passion for music. I really felt bad for her when she lost her dad but she is able to keep going and stay focused on her dreams, which is very admirable. Sometimes I felt that this book was slightly too young for me since I am nearly twice Kylie's age and, in my eyes, she is pretty immature at times but that is to be expected for a girl who is just barely an adult and left alone to stand on her own two feet. I feel she learns from her mistakes and, by the end of the book, I had pretty much decided that I would be reading the rest of the series. If you like country music and are looking for some books to feed your desire for all things country, I'd recommend Girl with Guitar. The protagonist is young and immature at times, but if you can overlook that, I think you will enjoy this book. I am already looking forward to the other two books in the series!

Debut book: I really enjoyed the book, from the first page to the last page. I can't wait for the next book to be released. I wanted to high five the characters, slap the characters, laugh with them , cry with them. But most of all I wanted more and more of the characters!!

As a writer, I read books differently. I look at the characters, plots and figuring out where the story is going. This was easy to read with relatable characters. The story flowed and pushed the plot forward. I picked this out of my kindle library in the middle of the night when I wasn't sleeping. I ended up spending the next two hours reading before I put it down. When the book was finished I wasn't ready for it to be done. I ended up purchasing the next book in the series Girl on Tour and have just started reading that one.

I really liked this book. It was well researched in the music field and there was a lot of heat between the superstar and the novice singer. It was hard to put down and I will definitely read more of Casey's books.

AMAZING! Kylie and Trace had just met and the verbal sparring was like watching strips of skin being torn off. Caisey Quinn did an excellent job giving them amazing chemistry. I can't wait to read the next book.

What a great love story. Based in Nashville a young woman on her own gets into country music and finds the man of her dreams. A wonderfully written story that I can't wait to read the sequel to. Will make you look at the world thru rose colored glasses!!!!

I just finished reading this book and I really enjoyed it! Kylie is a refreshing female heroine, one who stands up for herself and definitely is no 'damsel in distress'. It was so good to see a female lead put the male lead in his place. Even though she has had a rough time previously, she doesn't allow this to get her down and rule her life. Trace sounds incredibly hot when he's not being arrogant and sometimes selfish(but hey, that's why we love them so much!). Am eagerly awaiting the sequel!!!!

I would highly recommend this book. CAISEY Quinn knows how to write a good book. This book tells the up and downs of starting in music business.. And the up and downs of falling in love at the same time.

I am currently reading this, after holding on to this book for sometime. It's a good read, I'm enjoying the main character, she so quick witted and will charm you with her attitude and the situations she gets herself involved in. I look forward to getting further into the story; because I'm having a hard time putting it down to live MY life.

After a while the college aged romances all seem to have the same story line but not this book. I loved it. I finished it the same day I bought it. Even though the main male character is a famous country singer he doesn't give off the "better than you" rich attitude. I loved the main girl, Kylie, she wasn't whiny or annoying at all like a lot of other books. She was strong and chasing her dreams.
