This is a very well researched and written book; although I disagree with the statement that Mary Magdeline was a prostitute before her discipleship. Nowhere in the testaments is this found or even inferred. Otherwise, this historical "fiction" provides the reader with information about Jesus, and life in the first century, with assumed accuracy. I say "assumed", because there is no absolute verification of the witnesses stories. I am, as is Mr. O'Reilly, a devout Catholic, and my faith is based on the words of the New Testament. I this found book very interesting, and well worth the read.

This book gives the final answer, to what causes all to open that door, for Him to enter into our inner being. We, as mortal persons cannot discipline our lives to do and always be what He taught. We, however, are the same as his disciples. When we repent and ask for His help, a relationship beyond our carnal understanding begins. Faith and love then supersedes all our thoughts and actions. Everyone of us that does this becomes one of His and begins that walk to eternal life that He promised.

As with every other O'Reilly book, readable, informative and engaging. He provides yet another point-of-view from which to stand in awe of Jesus. I look forward to every new book of this type from O'Reilly and I'm never disappointed. He does cut a corner or two, repeating comfortable popular myths. Always harmless but not insignificant in a book that purports to reveal history. Eg. Jesus' years as a carpenter?

Reading this shortly after Easter the timeline made much more sense. There are many things that you do not think about when you read the Bible. The geography, customs, distance, even torture methods are eye opening. Thank you Bill O'Reilly.

I enjoyed the whole book. The events were so real. Being a real lover of Jesus and the things that he did for the needy it described the days and times as they were., It made Jesus seem realistic as a man that loved his fellow man. It made me ask the question that he asked God. Father why have you forsaken me. That is also my question. But leaving religion aside you are able to see the history of the times no matter who you were.

No real reason other than it was so informative---Being raised in a Christian family and being taught about the Bible and Jesus from a early age, Now being in the last stages of life, it is really a good review of all the teachings I had and it brought different things back that I had really forgotten---I know it suppose to be for the young and young adult but really liked it for meZ!!!

My neighbor has two children, ages 11 and 14. They enjoy reading. The suggested age range for the book is 10-15. The children enjoyed the book. It is packed with history with lots of pictures illustrating the text. I recommend this book.

I had previously read Bill O'Reilly's book "Killing Jesus" so this book was a little anticlimactic. Inclusion of scripture was accomplished in such a manner that if one hasn't read the Bible or had any religious instruction one would not know they were reading actual scripture. I believe the book remained true with very little if any editorial license or conjecture.

I found this book excellent and according to Bible records - even going beyond with the marvelous photo-pictures of the areas being written about...My husband who is not familiar with the Bible histories is talking about.this written material. I highly recommend this great book, The Last Days of Jesus, to all people.

Knowing the story of Jesus and the others involved is a good start. How many times can this story be rewritten?
I lied the information and the pictures about the region at the time of the events. There were other facts that were
revealed. This was most appealing to me.

This is a wonderful book....narrative easy to read, but hard as far as reading what a person was put through back then being crucified.....so brutal.
And the Son of God, Jesus Christ, came down to earth to live as a Man and endure all those sufferings in order to be there for us now when we need Him. So many people just do not understand that Christianity is a close relationship with HIM, not a "religion". Thank you, Mr. O'Reilly!

The book describes his events growing up to adulthood then on to his last days to his cruxification; I wasn't there as a witness but depicts as true as can be expected. Reading 2-3 chapters nightly in place of watching TV. Will recommend this book to everyone to get back to Christ. It leaves a good, warm feeling knowing what had happened leading to his sacrifice on the cross.

Very engaging historical novel. Bill O'Reilly has another literary gem along with "The Killing of Jesus" and all the others he has written. I would recommend this book for anyone, regardless of their religious affiliation..

I thought I had an understanding of what Jesus went through in the last week of his life! Not so! This book sheds new light on the history and social events that help lead up to his grueling times! Definitely deepens my appreciation for what Jesus did for all of us! And helps me to understand how this could have even happened.

In a simple way it makes it easy understanding of the times and hopefully an objective view of the time will be instilled. There is so much prejudice about this time and what was going on. O'Reilly presents it in a historical mode rather than a religious one.

I really learned a lot about the people, clergy& Romans during the time of Jesus, after reading "Killing Jesus". So I bought this book for my grandson as an Easter gift. Would recommend this to book to any one interested in the history of this era.

After reading "Killing Jesus," and finding it amazingly informative, I purchased "The Last Days of Jesus" for my grandchildren. But when it arrived, I found it so impressive I purchased one for myself as well. Although its scope is supposed to be for young people, anyone will enjoy the vast research, interesting facts and illustrations..

After I started to readd this book, it seems like it was written for perhaps, children and I wasn't aware of that when I purchased it. I had read his book, The Killing of Jesus and found it to be very good.
