I loved listening to the history and how the populist movement wasn’t built overnight. I thought I knew more on this subject but until I listened to BAB I realized I did not know very much. The history of Reagan and all the tipping points in this book are fabulous.

I am thoroughly enjoying this book. Although I haven’t finished reading it yet, so far it really paints a clear picture of how and why President Trump was elected. For me, I’ve been approvingly screaming “Yes” silently as I read the book.

Interesting read as Laura Ingraham traces the rise of populist conservatism from the campaign of Barry Goldwater and the presidency of Ronald Reagan and shows its importance in the election of President Trump.

The best book on politics I have ever read! Easy to read, incisive, and funny, with great personal anecdotes from an eye witness to history. I can't image anyone else could have written this book. Ingraham clearly explains and factually defends the rise of populism under Reagan, and how Trump is the modern heir of the movement. Ingraham is brilliant. She predicted the rise of Trump and his ultimate victory as far back as 2015, when all the "smart people" laughed at the idea--right up until 11pm on Election Night! This is a must read for anyone who supports Trump AND anyone who does not understand why he won.

Laura Ingraham is one of the smartest writers and speakers known today. She lays out step-by-step what brought us to this most important point in history. I personally remember all of the events described in detail in this book. What is amazing is that Laura explains why every republican president since Ronald Reagan has been a disappointment to conservatives. The Bush dynasty was lacking in so many ways though there was no other choice for the conservatives due to the establishment entrenchment of these political elites. Laura explains what we didn’t know for ourselves; we needed Donald Trump. I was not a “never-Trumper” but I did not vote for President Trump in 2016 (nor did I vote for HRC) but I absolutely will vote for him in 2020 and consider myself to be a part of his expanded base. I’m now a loyal listener to Laura’s daily radio program and very much look forward to her new show on Fox. What she has to say is all so much common sense that I’m sure more people will catch on and stop fearing the strong leadership of President Trump. It has been generations since we’ve had a leader willing to speak plainly and I for one look forward to reading what my president has to say every day on Twitter.

Excellent book but in the final chapters it degrades a little from the high journalistic standards of the earlier chapters and devolves into what seems more like hastily written newspaper column type recommendations on how best to implement conservative policies.
