Make Me Love You

I continued reading hoping that the plot would take off and there would be unexpected twists. Dominic was a cardboard hero and one who the author described as having a "feral" gleam to his eyes way too many times. Usually the author's heroes are strong and intelligent characters. Dominic was lacking. Brooke was a tad more interesting but not much. There was no chemistry between them and I really didn't care if they stayed together or not.

I like the main characters. But the behavior of the supporting characters are strange. Like the mother not showing Brooke her love due to fear. The brother's behavior, father even the mother of Wolf and especially the sister, Ella.
But if you don't think too deeply about the characters and just take it as it is, it's a lovely way to spend your weekend.

I have always loved Johanna Lindsey's books and was so excited to see a new one coming out but this one was a huge disappointment to me....The plot seemed like the book would be very interesting but the "meat" of this book could have been said in 4 or less chapters.......It seemed as if every conversation the main characters had was the same, they were just talking with different people or repeating their own earlier conservation.

Always love Johanna Lindsey as a author. When I read mix reviews related to this latest book so read it myself in order to understand other readers opinions. I have to say I found the book very interesting; I would recommend the book. I just wish this book like her other books had both character narrators since it helps your imagination a little bit better.

Another hit novel from one of mm y favorite writers. The story was not her usual. However, I loved it. Made it interesting sending the bride to the groom without a choice of marriage or not. Believe her father would have had her committed to a number if she had refused to go.

I've read Johanna Lindsey for years and have some earlier books I've read many times. This one will not join that list. It was simple, predictable, tedious, and almost altogether uninteresting. There were a significant number of inconsistent and poorly imagined twists at the end to tie everything up in a bow - suddenly everything was resolved - the end. The ONLY reason I finished it is that I was traveling at the time and didn't have the opportunity to purchase something else. Not to mention I made the mistake of paying the full new release price and felt obligated to read it. Several hours of my time that could have been better spent.
