The whole series is a very entertaining read. Not really into space wars, but enjoyed it. Tense at tims and I always looked forward to the next chapter. Never thought I'd read the whole 8 book series, but I did.

This novel gives you the feeling of Indiana Jones on "speed." If you like a space soap opera than moves rapidly and has some out-sized characters, you will enjoy this story. The hero is sort of human, his girl friend can probably beat him up in a hand fight, there is a person who claims to be the smartest person in the universe (maybe), and host of black hats. If this sounds to your liking have fun as the good guys and gals try to save earth, and just about everything else.

Really enjoying the Slaver Wars books and this is a great addition to the series. If you enjoy SF start with reading the first book in this series, this is the last. Depending on your reading speed, you will have weeks or months of enjoyment ahead of you as you go from book to book in the series. I don't want it to end.

The continuation of a series that is well thought out and well written. Looking forward to the next installment in this series and suggest any avid reader if science fiction to read the entire series from the beginning. It won't disappoint.

A great odyssey! It was a great story for adults who enjoy military fiction. The fleet maneuvers were original as they were in platoon marching drills. It was a nice tie-in current military jargon without diminishing the "scifi" environment. These terms were not emphasized

Great continuation of the original story. The fleet must find their way home. This book doesn't dissappoint, battles are bloody and destructive. Every inch in the new galaxy must be fought for and earned.

Have to agree with the reviewers who said that the book is rather flat and juvenile, the plot is just ok. I am a huge sci-fi fan and I know that you don't come to the genre for high literature, but this book is laughably bad. As somebody correctly pointed out, it's what a 12 year would come up with if presented with the task of describing adult interactions and plot lines. And the science...what science? If you are after a military sci-fi and want to read a story about a human fleet stranded in space fighting its way back, I'd recommend you try the other Lost Fleet series of books. I though Jack Campbell was a somewhat shallow character, but he has Hamlet level depth compared to this bunch.

This is a series that has stretched out too long. Too many tired characters. The aliens are 1 dimensional and the humans are not much better. The author had all those words available to develop a few of them, but never did.

Wonderful book. I enjoyed the mix of action and story as I have with previous books in the series. This book in particular I thought delivered surprising new challenges for the characters with some novel ways of dealing with those challenges, while providing intriguing background info about the evildoers and past events leading to galactic warfare.
