Good Guys Love Dogs

What a wonderful book. From the beginning to the end. I loved the story line and the way the book was written. If you want a good down to earth book You've got to read this book. One of the best books I've read. Love the author.

I really enjoyed this book. Phoebe was my favorite supporting character-she had me laughing all the time! I loved the way everyone worked through their problems but not all of it had perfectly tied up happy endings. As an animal lover, I enjoy the way animals play a role in the book as well. I had a hard time putting it down and then didn't want it to end!

Living in the small town of Keeling, VA, Colby Williams, the only vet in town struggles with raising her teenage daughter, Lena who seems to have been overtaken by a defiant alien who's sullen and angry. Taking on parenthood as a single mother is painful when her once sweet and loving child has gone AWOL. Determined to remain single despite her meddlesome best friend, things heat-up when she meets city slicker Ian McKinley. Ian has moved to the small town from his job and fiancee for a year in hopes of reestablishing his connection with his wayward teenage son, Luke. After an awkward, blind date at her friends Phoebe and Frank's, their, try to ignore chemistry heats up leaving you laughing, crying, wringing your hands to cheering! I absolutely loved the personalities of her characters and the wonderful animals that enhanced the book with their vibrancy. I didn't want it to end!

I needed a lighthearted romance, and Good Guys Love Dogs fit the bill perfectly! It's a relatively quick read, with a good story, great characters, and a happy ending. I'm a dog lover -- so the title caught my eye -- and I enjoyed the inclusion of dogs in the story. It's well written; treat yourself to it!
