I love a good fairytale retelling; and this one did not disappoint! Very well written, the story flowed beautifully, the ending wasnt rushed, and there weren't any lingering questions at the end. Very nice job! On to the next one! I'm excited to see what spin it will bring

This author needs lessons on character development. Insta-love plots are great and all but they still have reasons. The author offered none other than the heroine's need to save the hero. There's barely a back story and very very few details. Development, the whole book needed more, and the author didn't deliver. Good luck to you, but I won't read any more of your books.

I enjoyed the book. It wasn't deep, thought provoking, or original (being a retold fairy tale) but it was delightful. The bad characters were BAD and the heroine GOOD with a marked difference between the two. If you enjoy redone, sexy fairy tales, you'll like this one too.
A fractured Beauty & the Beast retelling (Crowns of the Twelve Book 1) :: Beauty of the Beast (Fairy Tale Retellings) (Volume 1) :: The Frog Prince (Faerie Tale Collection Book 9) :: fantasy fairy tale retelling (Not quite the fairy tale Book 3) :: Jeremiah 29:11 Two-tone Flexcover Journal

Fun quick read, definitely naughty but also fun and lighthearted. Falls under the "potato chip book" category, not substantial or necessarily good for peak performance but too delicious to pass up. Going to go see what else this author has in store the next time I'm looking for a delightful sexy read.

I have read many, many retellings of Beauty and the Beast. Some good, some not so good. Just recently I read three different stories where the beast was a werewolf. I like a good shifter story, but that is not what I want out of the Beast. In Lidiya's version, a goblin has been cursed by a faery for trifling with her daughter's affections.
This story is quick, and lags a bit in spots, but otherwise is creative and interesting. There is a nod to Snow White, and a beautiful man in a glass coffin.
I guess what I really liked about the story is the beast stays a beast. Beauty fell in love with the beast, not with the hope that he would turn into a gorgeous man, but knowing it isn't always the appearance of a person that identifies them.
Anyway, I enjoyed this story and I am looking forward to more from this author.

This tale used elements from a couple of different fairy tales like Beauty and the Beast and Sleeping Beauty plus others to merge together and create a story for all of us who have grown up and want more.

I stumbled on to this story quite by accident and I am so happy that I did. It was a mix of Beauty and Beast and Sleeping Beauty. It was filled with a cursed king and the woman who had the courage and determination to save his people, the king and herself

I've read other retelling of fairy tales, this is quite different. I actually feel sad i can't still listen to more stores of the goblins, Nyar, and Sabela. I would love more from there world at least. Thank you.

Great book. Reminded me of beauty and the beast. It was fairly short but unlike other books, it got right to it. Highly recommend the book to anyone that needs a good book after a book hangover (you know when you read an amazing book and you can't find anything to read to match it.)

I really enjoyed every aspect of this book, from the river witch & curse explanation to the development of the love story. I definitely recommend it to anyone interested in a good, adult retelling.

The writing lacks dynamic prose, the characters lacked agency and characterization, and this was a case of insta-lust between them. I felt like I was being told what was happening instead of being shown. Unfortunately, as a result, it quickly became boring. Which is a shame because the idea had a lot of potential.
