What....What is this???!!! EVERYTHING you may have enjoyed about that last 4 books is now gone! (Sorry, spoiler alert!) From the first few chapters, the reader is bombarded with incredibly vulgar language and told that women are worthless, sex objects. I stopped after 5 chapters (Could not take it any more! Good on you if you can stand it for longer!) and demanded a refund! I LOVE litRPG and this series, UNTILL this book! What made the author choose take a such a horrible turn from his past writing, imagination, and views. Granted you did get a little Russian prop. here and there throughout the series, but this reads like someone completely different wrote it. AND REALLY hates America! Did the author's American girlfriend dump him and he thought: I got it! I’ll ruin this awesome series just to show her who’s boss! Whatever the case maybe, PLEASE do not buy, borrow, or even think about reading this (OR the remaining) books in this series. it will only make you incisively mad that you wasted your time!

I was liking this series, although I had some reservations. But I only managed about 40 percent of this one before choking on the author's increasingly evident racism, sexism and overall hatred of others.
Also, the general quality has dropped considerably. The point of view changes so much it's hard to follow, the editing and proofreading has gotten worse, the story is no longer shown as much as told, the main character starts pontificating over politics for pages at a stretch, and at times I completely lose track of what he's even talking about. At one point I decided the author must be on cocaine it got so bad.
This story has had enough compelling ideas to bring me along this far, but no farther, I'm done.

Kindle point 2173 is where this series finally jumped the shark. When, without any rational explanation Max is able to easily kill the unkillable Camos, all sense left, and with it, the enjoyment of a very good litRPG series. Oh, well. On to tye next Kindle Unlimited treasure!

Until this novel I was loving this series. In this book we saw 180 degree changes in characters, mostly female, in negative aspects. This novel contains stalinism, bigotry, racism, and quite blatant chauvinism. It was frustrating and sad at the same time.

my inner greedy pig wants more words. Its a little short. The writing was a bit disjointed in the beginning but once the action started it took off. great fun. I especially liked the Russian perspective on war and vets. They are so much like American vets its scarry. butthen again we both have proffesional armies and much in common.
