I really love Landon Brinkley – a Texas born gal who believes in working hard for what she wants. It is so refreshing to have a heroine with an incredible amount of enthusiasm that doesn’t seem fake or forced by the author. The primary characters are great, but the secondary characters truly enhance the story in a way that it feels like it really is a non-fiction novel instead of fiction. A must read that will get you hooked from page one and keep you hooked throughout!

A fun and engaging read! Loved this book. Loved the entire series. I accidentally read it in reverse and read this one last. The books all pretty much stand alone, so it wasn’t a big deal at all. I highly recommend this book!

This book was great. I loved hearing about all the party planning and their was a little love story in it too. To be honest the book was over before I knew it and I kept wanting to read more even though it was finished.

I LOVE Landon ... and Max ... and Miko ... and Taylor ... and Brody ... and Rachel ... sensing a pattern ... yep I LOVED this book!! I couldn't put it down!! I am first and foremost a romance lover but this book while it had some romance in it it wasn't the focus of the book and I still LOVED it which says a lot in my book!!

"If I had a power color, it would definitely be sparkle."

Party Girl was a chick-lit book about a charming southern girl from Texas who wanted nothing more than to be a party/event planner. So after lots of hard work and saving Landon Brinkley lands an internship at a reputable event planning firm in LA. She thinks all her dreams have come true, she is thrilled to learn from her idol, the greatest party planner in the biz Selah Smith ... her new boss. However things go nothing like she planned and Selah is nothing like she thought.

Landon aka Brinkley (because apparently Selah can't be bothered to use her staffs first names) learns quickly that Selah is simply the face of the company, and not hands on at all so she doesn't get a mentor she simply gets thrown into the shark tank. However she meets Miko her first day at SSE (Selah Smith Events) and they become fast friends because Miko sees herself in Brinkley, back when she first joined the team at SSE. Miko was by far one of my favorite characters in this book. She also quickly meets Taylor, head of production and office hottie and they also become good friends, and with the help of these two she finds her way navigating through chaotic situations and party fails.

We also have Landons roommate Max, she's just the best friend everybody wants to have. Bartender, tough exterior with a heart of gold, who would do anything for her friends. Landon also meets Brody Ashton, Max's super hot, super successful brother. He and Landon get super close but she backs away several times because she is scared and has never really had a relationship before, and Selah has her eye on him which causes Selah's claws to come out.

Oh Lord, Baby Jesus in the manger!
I’ve never been in this position before with someone who looks like him, so I panic.
I throw my hands up between us and screech the first thing that pops into my head.
“Don’t try to kiss me!”
Dear Heavenly Father, if ever there was a moment for the rapture to come and spirit me away,
it would be so great if it could happen right now.

While this book did not focus on romance it had its fair share of electrically charged moments, throw in some drunk girls, some workplace drama, crazy clubs, the sprinkler and you've got Party Girls. This was a great book and I can't wait to read more from Rachel.

Good girl Landon Brinkley from small town Texas wants to become a party planner in L.A.. She gets a job as a non-paid intern and quickly begins to love and hate her job at the same time. Enter love prospect and every thing seems more complicated than originally planned. This book was exactly what the side of the pool called for to help me relax and enjoy my summer. Overall it was one of the better books I have read in a while.

You know that book, the one you'll sacrifice precious sleep hours just to finish the chapter before turning off the light? Party Girl by Rachel Hollis IS that book! It was a fun read, and I was constantly rooting for Landon and Brody and constantly hoping Selah would be put in her place!

This is a cheerful book! The protagonist, Landon, is written in such a bubbly way that it's infectious. You root for the good guys, you want to hang out with all of them, and you'll wish you had a southern accent. This book is a great way to spend "me" time. Yay Rach!
