Keys to Achieving Personal and Corporate Destiny - The Principles and Power of Vision

This is a life changing teaching from Myles Monroe!! He will be sorely missed!! I had given away all of my hardback copies to friends and people who needed to hear this message so I bought the Kindle version. I read this many times to remind me of what I'm supposed to be doing. I HIGHLY recommend this as a small group teaching, personal exploration or even as a large group presentation! A MUST READ for Christians!

The author pushes a theology, that only those that worship God can realize a vision. All one must do is look to history. There is plenty of evidence of visionary works by people that did not subscribe to the author's beliefs.

At the very end, after telling the reader repeatedly that God provides everyone vision and the path to obtain that vision, the author decides to make a political statement. The author claims that few living in the 3rd world can discover their vision, because they are being oppressed. I guess out of convenience the author neglects to mention the story of Moses.

I had to respond after I read that unfair comment from the person who only gave this book 2 stars. I will go on the record and say that this is THE BEST book written concerning vision and following your heart's dreams. Everyone here is looking for fulfillment and purpose in life (those that say they are not, are lying), and the only way to achieve that is by following the desires that God has placed in your heart. Everything is created by God and it will take God and only God to show you where your destiny lies. Dr. Myles Munroe did a wonderful job in explaining how these principles work and if you follow them, they will change your life forever. So to everyone who read that "2-Star" review, please ignore it and purchase the book. You will not regret it.

In his usual instruction-type manner, Dr Myles proceeds to give the reader understanding of vision, and describes the dissastorous effects of a life without one.
Part One of the book focuses on defining vision, and detailing its source.
Part Two offers twleve principles for fulfilling your personal vision.Here are a few:

My Journey to Spiritual Restoration

My God until I read The Principles and Power of Vision I did not have a clue of how powerful our power within was. I have attended church for many years and this was never taught in the church that I attended. I began to develop a thirst of the things of the Spirit of God and to understand the scriptures in the Bible that began to come alive in this book that I began to read many other books by God's anointed. Thank God for Dr. M. Monroe.

I purchased several of Munroe's books because of a message I heard/saw on TV some 25 years ago having to do with "purpose." The delivery and content of that message was at excellent. I've glanced at the books, but an not into his theology. The 1-star rating has more to do with my not having read the books than a bad-to-good scale review. The video message is around here somewhere on an old VHS tape.

I must confess that this book is timeless. It will cause a paradigm shift in your life. I have listened to Dr. Myles teachings and read his book and advice you go get this one and be empowered with insight, hindsight and foresight.

If you want to really, fully understand how and why one is given a Christian spiritual gift like purpose and vision you will truly enjoy reading this book....it's hard for me to put it down...and I'm only into the 3rd chapter. Myles Monroe has been given a rare gift of explaining the actual "mechanics" of various spiritual gifts in terms that are so plain and understandable....I've read his book on prayer as well "Understanding the Purpose and Power of Prayer" it was TERRIFIC!! I can't wait to order another one of his books when I get through with this one.

A bunch of awesome mixed with awesomeness!!! It's like walking out of darkness into a world of illumination enlightening the hearts of many. I decided to travel one day not knowing my direction only to find out that God has yielded me purposely.

Myles Munroe's book could literally change your life. His writing style is easy to follow and the content could be a general text book for focusing on just about any future goal, dream, or "vision" of where you want to someday be in life. Munroe not only asks the reader (regarding their "Vision") where they want to be in life but goes beyond the thought provoking questions and challenges you to keep moving toward your vision with ideas, strategies, and practical advice.

This book started out explaining all the questions I had about Why I am here? What is my purpose? Dr. Munroe then goes into Godly prinicples on where vision comes from and how to achieve vision. This book changed my way of thinking, knowing that my life is not about me but its for helping others. This book is an easy read and HIGHLY recommended! Thanks, Dr. Munroe, for your God given gift to encourage and lead others to move into purpose.
