I have been reading Tom Verducci since the early 1990's. Always my favorite. He is written a gem about the event of the decade. It is a biographic work, a study in art and theory, a history of a season and a play by play analysis. All rolled into one. The first person quotes are wonderful. There are other good books on the subject and other classic baseball books in the past, but this is the ONE. Frosting on the cake.

As a lifelong Cubs fan this book gave wonderful insight into the process of building the ultimate Cubs team. It makes you truly appreciate the amount of work that goes into building a winning organization and that it doesn't happen by chance.

The best, most comprehensive Cubs book available (and I have read them all). From signing Theo Epstein to Winning the World Series, there are great stories and details that even the most attentive and hardcore Cubs fan would not be aware of. Great read.

It is an interesting read about cubs ws experience in 2016. Very motivated! Reader has all the details about the game and could feel the joy,anxiety and excitement about game 7. It is incredible to see cubs rebuild in only 5 years!
