Defying Her Mafioso (The Vitucci Mafiosos Book 1)

This has the promise for a great mafia series. Told from a dual POV it was interesting reading their thoughts throughout.

Scarlet has been in love with Ciro since she was younger but he has fought it at every step, even getting her father to send her away to Sicily for 3 years. Now she's back she's trying to pretend he isn't there but that isn't easy when she needs to turn to him for help.

I did love Scarlett and Ciro's relationship, he believe he was a monster that didn't deserve to be loved by her. After she's taken he realises she's everything to him and he can't fight his need for her anymore.

I enjoyed the mafia story but it was left in the air so I'm guessing the hunt for Santino Jr will continue in the next book.

I loved Victoria's drama with Adrian so can't wait to read more about them and Christine and Anya.

Will certainly be looking out for further books in the series.

Crazy Cajun Book Addicts

A great start to this new series from Terri Anne Browning if you've read her MC series you will have had a sneak peak of Ciro Felicity's cousin already and I have to say as soon as I realised he would get his own book I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.

Scarlet has been in love with her brothers best friend Ciro for years but he's never felt that he's good enough for her. Scarlet's father is head of one of the biggest syndicates and Ciro is one of his best capos. Ciro has blood on his hands and felt he had no other choice but to send Scarlet away for her own good, but three years later she's back in his life. He tries to fight his feelings but hes tired of pushing away the one women he wants to spend the rest of his life with but does she still feel the same way?
I'm looking forward to reading more of this series and I'm hoping we get Victoria's story next.

First I want to say another terrific read from one of my favorite authors. Terri Anne Browning-Author did an excellent job portraying the mafia world. This was her first turn at the popular genre and she knocked it out of the park with a tough chic heroine that you want to be bffs with and a hot as hell alpha male mafia capo. Ciro thought sending Scarlett away would make her move on he thought he could forget her. Nope not possible these two were destined to be together. I adored them as a couple the chemistry was off the charts. I especially loved the closeness of Scarlett and her twin Victoria I can't wait for her story. I also thought the other secondary characters were well thought out and played nicely into the overall story. I don't know which one is next but I will take anyone of these characters. Great start to a new series. Totally recommend.

I really enjoyed this book! This was my first time reading Terri Anne Browning and I was not disappointed. Ciro and Scarlett are hot together. I love how broody Ciro is though I did want to shake some sense into him at times. Scarlett is feisty but there’s no denying the love she has for her family or Ciro for that matter. She very much reminded me of myself when she went into “mother hen” mode when it came to her sister. I loved the plot and I could really connect with the characters. I only wish that there was a bit more depth when it came to the obstacles they faced. I feel like these parts in particular were a little rushed. Aside from that I look forward to reading more books from this author.

I love that this is a duel POV book. And the way it's written is wonderful. We get to meet some great new characters and get excited about stories that we know are coming. This is a great start to what is going to be a awesome new series and I can't wait for more. Excellent read!

I have read several of this amazing author books and loved them. This particular story is more of a romance story than a mafia genre but a great read. Scarlett and Cairo attraction to each other was strong from the beginning. Scarlett character started out strong but sizzled down immensely. Cairo character was written as a strong true alpha male with strong possessive attitude. There was unresolved issues between Victoria and Adrian no I am hoping to read more about their history. Overall, a great story from an amazing author!

Terri Anne Browning and this new series is an eye opener compared to her other books. I loved that Scarlett didn`t care what her Ciro actually does but sees the man he is inside. The love they have is forbidden but this doesn`t stop the love they have for one another. I loved the whole Mafia storyline and the fact that it is more than just gunshots, betrayal but a love that is strong determined to overcome anything including the Mafia boss himself. Cannot wait for book 2 in this series.

I recently just started reading Terri Anne Browning. I have, however, finished all of her rocker novels and loved them, so I was excited to see more from her. Mafia novels have quickly become one of my favorite tropes. I love them! This book was no different. With just the first book, I am already falling for the Vitucci family and can't wait to see where the author will take the stories. Great start to a new series and I will be on the edge of my seat waiting for the next one.

Defying Her Mafioso is the beginning of a new Mafia series and it was amazing. It was full of action, drama, suspense, and intrique and told in dual POV'S. The story is well written and it kept my interest that I couldn't put it down till I finished it. I loved the characters Ciro and Scarlett, they were perfect for eachother. The secondary characters were great. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait till the next book in the series.

Great book! Told from Scarlett's and Ciro's POVs, and things get a little harried. As Ciro and Scarlett fight their attraction, the Cosa Nostra is being targeted. Can the two find their way to each other without tragedy striking or will it take a tragedy for them to see what's in front of them?

Scarlett's and her twin, Victoria's relationship make me wish I had a twin and was born to a mega rich family. Scarlett is feisty and takes no bull from anyone, while Victoria is super sweet, being able to wrap anyone around her finger and very fashion conscious. They are quite the yin & yang pair. I love their chemistry together. But enough about them. Let's get to the heart of the story...

Scarlett is in love with Ciro but he pushed her away, as in sent her away so he didn't have to deal with the fact that he is in love with her. Well, let's say, she is back and angry at him for sending her away. Will he ever feel like he is worthy of her love or will she realize she needs to move on?

There are some loose ends in this book. Not quite cliffhanger material, but enough left hanging out there so you want, nay, need to read the next book!

Grab this book while the getting is good and tuck in for a wild ride. I however, do not promise a Happily Ever After, but there may be a Happy Ending.

Great read with ups, downs and twists! Ciro and Scarlett were off the charts when they finally got together. I loved that he loved her for a long time ans saved her when she needed it. I will definitely read the rest of this series.
