I have thought about ordering this book several times but couldn't get past the title. I finally decided to try the first 2 books and I really enjoyed them! I've read the vampire academy series and it definitely felt like the same style/voice, only with much more adult content. I love the way all of the characters are connected and that there's a little mystery in each book.

I think some of Georgina's behavior is a little immature or makes her seem younger than centuries old, but that didn't bother me much. My only real complaint is the dialogue in the flashbacks to Georgina's mortal life - it felt way to modern to me, and that took me out of the story a little bit.

Otherwise it's a great read and if you liked the VA series but are craving a little more steam with your reading, pick these up!

The whole succabus character was so WTH!? Seriously, She has been around for at least a thousand years and she is still having moral issues and acting like a young girl without experience? If she only took 1 guy slice of energy(several years of life)...once a month (which is more like 2 to 3 x's a month), it would still have been 12 THOUSAND SOULS that she corrupted! I am so sure she is still so school girl naive. Lovely thought, fun read and I love how chummy the devils and the angels are to each other! This is a young adult porn/romance novel just like a Daniel Steele knock off.... now, what I wonder is when Fabio going to do the next book cover shot? I still think it's worth enjoying, I read 2 of the series in one day... and started the third! But, if Goergina would have been a bit more gritty and less "I'm trying to reach the YA audience" it would have been spades better! I love the Vampire Academy series and Mead still kills the competition like P.C. Crass and Karen Marie Mooning...both catering to teenagers who have the skillset, maturity and reading capability of a sixth grader.

I picked this up randomly thinking it would be cheesy but based off the reviews, decided to try it out. Now I'm hooked! The main character is funny and relatable, and even though she's a succubus you can't help but love her and root for her. I can't wait to start the next book!

Richelle tells Georgina's story with a lot of great humor and spirit. It's funny and you're not quite sure who the bad guy is for a good chunk of the book. Nothing worse than figuring out who did it too fast in a book told in first person. I'm going to keep it right next to Blood Sucking Fiends for funny urban fantasy.

I really like Richelle Mead's writing style. This series, as well as the Vampire Academy series (although it is geared to a young adult audience) is simply spectacular! The Eugenie Markham books are my least favorite - although they aren't too bad. I definitely recommend this series if you like paranormal books and want a change from the typical vampire, werewolf stuff.

I didn't really like this book. No sympathetic characters or anyone to identify with. Georgia, for being centuries old, is immature and self-centered. I thought it was boring; I just wanted it to be over. I enjoyed the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series much more.

Warning! If you don't like serial books (books that do not end), do not bother with this book.

The premise was good, the execution not so great. The book started slow and plodding. I was almost a 1/3 of the way through before I got caught up in the story. If I had known the story was not going to be resolved by the end of the book, I would have stopped reading when I couldn't get into it.

Richelle Mead is a great writer. I love her skill in creating a scene and keeping me interested. But I am not particularly interested in the non-stop sex. It just isn't my cup of tea.

Loved Vampire Academy, BTW. That is the reason I bought Succubus Blues and succubus on top.

But I am not interested in continuing the series by purchasing any others of the Georgina Kincaid series.

I thoroughly enjoyed Succubus Blues.Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid). I loved the unpredictability of the characters and the story line. I felt connected to the story. A refreshing, nice read for the supernatural genre.

A succubus who doesn't take her job seriously enough, a vampire on a diet, an angel who hangs out with demons because, well, after an eternity you start to grow on each other -- They're all so much fun to spend time with I didn't want the book to end.
