Great series, but should be read only by adults. Love it so much I ordered it for 2 day shipping, the only problem that the company held the package and instead of getting it Thursday like I should have I had to pick it up on Wednesday.

Seattle succubus Georgina Kincaid is back for more hell-raising adventure in the third installment in Richelle Mead's sexy urban fantasy series. All of the characters return in this installment and Georgina once again has a lot on her plate.
The book starts off with a mandatory meeting of the Seattle evil doers. She learns she has to mentor a new succubus, Tawny. Tawny was recruited by the same imp, Niphon, which bought her soul. After the meeting Jerome is MIA. Instead of just having one archangel, Carter, there is a group of Angels in town - Joel, Yasmine, and Whitney. They are being assisted by Vincent who is also currently Georgina's roommate. Her relationship with Seth seems to be heading toward disaster. The strictly hands-to-yourself relationship for Georgina and Seth is starting to takes its toll. She encourages her friend Maddie (Doug's Sister) to make some life changes; little did Georgina know how this would affect her own. On top of everything something is draining her energy while she sleeps. So she seeks out help from long-time friend Eric and he refers her to Dante. This seems to complicate her life even more - if that is even possible.
This is going to be a Christmas from hell -
As the third book in this series, the story is still progressing and the author seems to enjoy the world she created. There were some bumpy moments, but the roller-coaster that is Georgina's life is still very exciting.
I am ok with how this book ended - I won't spoil it. If you like Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy - then you should give this series a shot. I would read the first 2 books in the series - so that you are introduced properly to this world.

Succubus Dreams is the 3rd book in the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. There’s a new succubus in town and her name is Tawny Johnson. She is everything Georgie isn’t, trashy and ready to corrupt the good men of Seattle. Too bad our Georgie has to be her mentor and help her out in learning the succubus ropes. But seducing men is pretty easy so she has no doubts that Tawny doesn’t need her. Georgie has her own problems, for some reason every time she feeds, a dream comes where she sees her daughter, which is impossible because as a succubus she is infertile. Then she wakes up completely drained of all the energy she just absorbed. Jerome shrugs off her worries and just says she’s stressed. Yet Carter and three other angels, and one psychic human, are in Seattle for some reason. They even ask to use her house while they investigate whatever it is they are investigating. Her relationship with Seth is becoming rockier as they start to realize that having one person be immortal in a relationship makes life very difficult, especially when that immortal has to have sex with random men to survive. Seth starts to realize that when their relationship ends, it will break Georgie’s heart for centuries to come, and as long as he is mortal, it will end one day. Meanwhile the imp that she sold her soul to has been hanging around, trying to make her life hell which begs the question why? Is there something wrong with her contract? Can she and Seth work things out? Is Tawny faking her ineptitude at being a succubus? What are Carter and friends doing that they won’t discuss with her, denizen of evil that she is?

I wanted to read Succubus Dreams because I loved Georgina and Seth in the first two books. They have a unique relationship since he is human and she is an immortal succubus. That means she feeds on other men, corrupting the good in order to keep her life force. But her and Seth have a mostly hands off policy, because she doesn't want to steal his energy. Seth is a writer and in his writing he is witty, eloquent and wordy, in his face to face interpersonal, he is quieter, shy, and his words aren't as many. But he is a strong man, he loves Georgina fiercely and he accepts the less than savory parts of being a succubus, and doesn't get jealous, much.
I love how Seth wants truth and honesty-- a baring of souls--as part of a healthy relationship. Georgina doesn't always want to open up about her past, especially her mortal life. It isn't always so much that she wants to keep it from him, but that she doesn't like to dwell on it, because she made some mistakes and it cost her and to protect those she loved, she gave up her soul. But talking about her past comes up in this one, and while Seth doesn't push her hard, he does ask, and hope for answers.
The new plot lines in this one involves a new succubus in town coming with her the third person she really fears (the first of course, being Lilith and the second her high immortal demon boss Jerome). There is also, as the title suggests, a plot line dealing with dreams.
We got a whole new view of their relationship in this one because something happened to Seth and he started thinking about his life and what he wanted to experience and what he didn't want to miss.
It leads them into a whole new areas especially with their service he knew how much they could get away with what sex they were like teenagers honestly and created so much tension and chemistry between them and I love those scenes. I totally understand where both of them were coming from though because Georgina just wanted to protect him so so much and Seth just wanted to be with her he loved her on so many different levels but Hugh also was a part of what was going on in Seth's mind. He was telling us about the way the Georgia and it would probably hurt after Seth was gone and sure enough it is been on Georgina's mind a lot about what was going to happen she was terrified that something was going to happen to him like he hurt his leg and she went crazy and then they would be even bigger incident and all she could really think about was how fragile his life is and it really scared her but it also want to take advantage of all the time that she had with him while on the other way sis was now thinking about that about how short his life was compared to Georgina and he started struggling with that because he didn't want her to hurt on such a big level.
We get to see more of Eric in this one eric is a human but he knows so much about the cousin paddle an angel and demons and all the other paranormal that inhabit this world that they're in. We realize that there's another human that specializes in dreams and Georgina goes to see him and it turns out that he is a an enemy or well once a friend of Eric and its at the whole new level to the storytelling because we don't really know what happened between the two but Eric care enough about Georgina to send her to Dante who is the dream reader when Georgina go to see him it seems like at first all he's interested in is getting a lay her. Really start to doubt some of his capabilities because she sees him left on some of the sum of his customers he sits claims to be a psychic and also palm reader and tarot card reader and she can tell by read the deck that he's completely telling the people who come to see him what they want to hear rather than what the card show but as Georgina keeps going to see him he reveals the places where he actually has some talent and he really start to care about Georgina and he's intrigued about what's going on with her because she's losing energy and she's having these really really vivid dreams and they're just wondering what kind of force is going on in the the diamond world well also the angel world because Carter has friends in this one and they're obviously searching for something.
Because going back to the relationship between Georgina and Seth there of course still in love but with all of the things going on and all of the doubts and fear of hurting the other person creepin in its not all like this honeymoon phase anymore and in some ways that's sad but in other ways we get to see the depth of their feelings for each other and we get to see them learning problem solving skills and they're even more real because they're having to deal with all of these day today issues like when Seth gets wrapped up in his writing and he completely lose track of time or Jordan is having to go and get her life worse from being with other men it is hard and on some level totally accepts her Peter it's hard to see Georgia to be with other guys and they just have such a longing to really be with each other and explore each others bodies and show each other love in a whole other area.
So... yeah there is a place in the book that completely broke my heart and I know it had to have broke Georgina's as well. I know it shouldn't because it's totally not fair concerning the circumstances of what georgina has to do to live. I mean she even gave them permission to do it but still maybe it's just who it was. Then again maybe me and georgina as well just had him on a pedestal that he shouldn't been on. Guess it's just a sign up how good a writer she is or maybe just that she writes in the way that I feel emotionally but I wanted to hit something and obviously it hurt georgina as well and it was hard watching her feel that and also to weigh the consequences that she's an immortal and going back to the things I was talking about earlier where they have to make hard choices and she is in this unique position of juggling loving him and losing him.
Then there was a scene with one of the angels and it was really hard to see them make such a selfless but selfish choice of the same time. But it served a good purpose in showing that everyone has to make their own decisions and even if you don't agree with everything that they're deciding that you have to support them whenever you love them.
Wow just wow that ending was I don't even have words for it right now I just finished it and my heart is feeling like it's put through the wringer something right now because yeah. I'm an emotional wreck and I feel so sorry for Georgina dude yeah like a friend contemporary depressing books lately and while they make me feel something... this actually made me feel like my heart waa going to break.
I can see a few threads especially with Carter in the whole conversation that kept going on about how contracts can have a loophole makes me really wonder what the next book is going to bring.
Really have no idea where she's going to take this because everything with the family and her vision because even though they seemed impossible it made you hope so much in a few things the Carter is just sad about her and I don't still know where the next book is going to go and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.
So I can definitely see a pattern in her writing because I remember feeling like this and Vampire Academy and really just wondering how she was going to salvage the relationship with rose and Dimitri and it gives me hope because she really into that in such a way that just made me so satisfied and remembered the relationship in the story of the two so I have to really trust that she can do it again with this.
Bottom Line: Emotional wreck after ending, 1st delivers with the wit, the cute romance and all I loved in the first two.

Funny that Georgina rations her reading of Seth's novels (Katie & O'Neill) to 5 pages a day so she can extend the pleasure of reading his books. Well 5 pages a day is....well....like living in a convent....just not gonna happen.
The same great dynamics amongst the wealth of fantastic characters, wonderfully fast paced storyline. So much so that I found myself saying repeatedly to those in my life that think one can just walk away from a book like this "hold on....just one more chapter". Sucks how life gets in the way sometimes.
Georgina finds herself in the middle of immortal games again and so the sleuthing begins. Tied up in all this is her romance with Seth the mortal.
I can't decide what is the best about this book, the characters or the storyline. I found myself laughing, almost crying at times and literally saying out loud..."NO!".....
Great cast, Great story, Well done!

This was a great new installment in this series! Having read ither Richelle Mead Books first; I had an idea of how she wrote and I thought I knew what to expect! Gladly this was better than expected!
Georgia is an enigmatic character that jumps off the page and burns into your brain! At first I wasn't sure I should how to feel about her and her lot in life.
Then the wordsmith of an author unleashes the world; story and conflicts and melts your heart!
Can't wait for more!

Succubus Dreams is a thrilling and unputdownable read. With each book the Georgina Kincaid series gets better and better. Before the end, I think my head is going to explode. As if I wasn't already dying to find certain things out, this book gave me a million more reasons to keep reading the rest of the books in this series in my spare time. There is one MAJOR, I mean MAJOR HUGE GINORMOUS, reveal in this book.
Georgie and Seth are going strong. They have figured out a way around Georgie's sexual succubus limitations - which is pretty brilliant if I do say so myself. Georgie is still fulfilling her agreement with Jerome that she made in Succubus Blues of being a full-time succubus and stealer of souls. Though, there is trouble brewing in Georgie's dreams. Every time she gets an energy fix and sleeps, she dreams. And it's not just any dream, but vivid, unattainable dreams that leave her emotionally distraught. Each dream reveals a little more than the one before it, like dabbling a carrot in front of her. She wakes up almost completely drained of energy.
Georgie knows that it's more than a dream. She suspects it's something supernatural and enlists Erik's help to figure who or what is visiting her in her dreams. As I've said before, the secondary characters in this series are really great and well-done. Erik is such a sweet old man. Erik is a mortal with the ability to sense supernatural creatures. He is also very perceptive and observant. He has always taken a liking to Georgina's well-being, which was really heartwarming. Here Georgie is a millennia old and she's being grandfathered by a man who is, what, 65? Their relationship only adds to the fragility of Georgie's character. Interestingly, Erik has always really liked Seth and has been a proponent of his and Georgie's relationship.
"You talk and move around each other in a way you're probably not even aware of. It's like how lovers usually interact...but it's something more too. You have a continual sense of each other, I think, even when not together. There's a burning in the air between you....I've never met another of your kind who's exactly like you, Miss Kincaid."
Erik is unable to help her and refers her to a dream specialist by the name of Dante Moriarty who also happens to be a con artist, magician, and full-time BS-er. I really liked this new character. Dante was rather smart-mouthed and a lousy human being, but he was happy to help George. His willingness to help Georgie was likely directly related to her attractiveness, but help is help.
As always Georgie is juggling more than one problem. Seattle gets a new succubus named Tawny. Georgie is assigned to be her mentor. And she has her work cut out for her. Tawny is completely new, totally clueless, and has no idea how to seduce even the horniest guys.
"The School of Georgina is a harsh one."
With the arrival of Tawny in Seattle, another supernatural creature comes along, an imp name Niphon — the very imp who brokered Georgie's soul for Hell two-thousand years ago. Georgie hates him. I hate him. He is nothing but trouble. There was this darkness around him and was suddenly suspicious of his intentions. My protectiveness came out. DON'T YOU HURT MY GEORGIE!! Basically Niphon was there to ensure that Tawny was being properly trained. And by properly trained, I mean, getting laid. But like I said, Tawny sucks.
Like the other books, Georgie and Seth's interactions were my favorite part. They share this deep mysterious connection that seems to be beyond just them. Just when I thought trouble was behind them, that their love for each other could carry them through any rough patches, trouble stirs its ugly head. Georgie has always been so cautious with Seth's mortal status by refusing to sleep with him to preserve his mortal life. Seth begins to worry if them being together will cause Georgina pain in the end when he is gone. The fact that they're worrying about this just shows how devoted they are to each other! Gah! I love these two.
"I love you, Georgina. You give me more joy than I ever expected to find in this life. I want to be with you...But not if it's going to do more harm than good. I don't want you to hurt."
You might think that this book would be boring or too stale with Seth and Georgie together as a couple, but boring it is not. There is more than enough action and conflict in this book. Not to mention the stellar plot twists in the end that shredded my heart. At the end of this book, you will want the next book handy. I was stunned speechless and more than a little bit emotional. This paranormal series is in no way a light and fluffy reading. It's emotional and will attack your heart when you least expect it. Richelle Mead is an evil woman, but gosh darnit I love her books (and her) to pieces.

This time around Georgina takes us on an emotional ride through a flashback about one of her past relationships while trying to make things work with her current love, Seth.
Like the last two books, there's a mystery to be solved and this time around there's something draining Georgina's powers while she sleeps. Oh and something is making people all over town kill themselves or others out of the blue. Could it all be connected? That's what Georgina and her group of hellions have to figure out. But this time around there's a group of out-of-town angels helping.
As if Georgina doesn't have her hangs full already she is now tasked to mentor a newbie succubus. A really bad succubus, this chick can't get a date to save her life. Really! Georgina has to share some of her power with her to keep her going.
The ever mounting sexual tension between Georgina and Seth peaks to an all time high leaving the two even more frustrated than ever. Can they survive on love alone? You'll have to read to find out. All I can say is that after the second I finished Succubus Dreams I started the next book, Succubus Heat.
Richelle Mead continues to reel me in and never fails to entertain me.

The storyline picks up with a brilliant one line opening placing us right back with Georgina, our favourite succubi, and her line of... work? Along with the usual crowd of demonic friends, we have the introduction of angelic beings surrounding the town, along with nightmares of the past and in her dreams. Dreams which suck out her very life energy.
Although we know Georgina's life is not an easy one, this book comes with heavy burdens, a theme that suits the characters and brings depth and background to her previous existence, as well as expanding character detail of those we already know. The main storyline is based on why her life energy is being taken, but I think the deeper character insights make this book. However, you should be warned, it ends in a much troublesome way. You'll be reaching for book four so have it handy!
Anyone who has never read the series could pick this book up and start reading. For us fans, it is a more in depth look at how the demons, angels, and even Georgina herself, look at the world and especially themselves. As for the love affair... I'm not giving anything away!
Once more I was hooked within the first few minutes and couldn't put the book down. I cannot rate this series high enough.
Although we know Georgina's life is not an easy one, this book comes with heavy burdens, a theme that suits the characters and brings depth and background to her previous existence, as well as expanding character detail of those we already know. Rating: 5 Enchantments
Georgina Kincaid is a busy woman to say the least. She is now the manager at the book store, she has her normal succubus duties, her loving boyfriend Seth to attend to, mentor succubus to the newest girl in the gig, and also has a mystery to solve. Good grief a succubus's job is never done.
Seth Mortensen loves Georgina more than his own life; in fact he is even willing to trade in his soul to be with her. But he finds himself pondering if he can give her what she truly wants or if he is doomed to cause her only heartache.
Something is wrong with Georgina. As a succubus she gets her power and energy from the life that she steals from her victims. However after she "scores", her energy seems to disappear. Of course Georgina cannot let anything go so she is on the case of the missing energy. This happens to put a damper on her relationship with Seth, he feels as if he is being put on the back burner. Of course when Georgina gets assigned to mentor the new succubus of the Seattle area, her time seems to get even more spread out. On top of all of this a group of angels seem to be having pow wows at her apartment trying to solve their own dilemma. Georgina cannot seem to catch a break but hey stress is what Succubus's do best. The only problem is who will be hurt in the process.
Richelle Mead never fails and SUCCUBUS DREAMS is just more proof of it. This book was so action packed never any dull moments that I read it in one sitting. Every book I tell myself that I am going to do what Georgina does with Seth's books and read a few pages at a time so I can savor it and make it last but of course that plan goes out the window the minute I crack the book. There was so much going on I found myself gasping out loud at certain parts, laughing or even crying. Yes this book, like Richelle Mead's other latest book `Shadow Kissed', left me crying at the end. This is another book that I love and hate. I hate how it ended but yet loved it at the same time. Of course I cannot wait to read Georgina's next tale in Succubus Heat. I have the release date already marked on my calendar. SUCCUBUS DREAMS is a must read!
Richelle Mead is the fantastic author of several different series. She has her young adult series, Vampire Academy, her succubus series and her new paranormal romance Dark swan series. To find out more about her addicting books please visit her website at [...]

Love all the outfits and food references, so keen to try a Grey Goose gimlet!
Eventually the mystery is solved with a bit of heart stopping action, love, lust and all sort of other goings on. RM never fails to bring it on.

In the third book in the Georgina Kincaid series, everyone's favorite succubus is up to her old tricks. There's a new succubus in town, Tawny, a bleached blonde with Barbie-like proportions who couldn't bag a man to save her life, and Georgina is supposed to act as her mentor. Which would be fine--if Georgina didn't have her own stuff going on.
First, there's her relationship with author Seth Mortensen, an author who was Georgina's celebrity crush long before he became her real-life boyfriend. Georgina and Seth began their relationship with an understanding that it couldn't ever turn physical. He's a mortal with a good soul, and she's a succubus who could steal his life force if they so much as kissed too long. No, it's a strictly hands-off relationship for Georgie and Seth, and it worked at first. But as time progresses the two have to learn if they can have a relationship based purely on emotional intimacy, with no future hope of physical intimacy.
And finally there's her job. Previously voted Succubus of the Year, and now having to set an example for Tawny, Georgina's never had a problem getting energy fixes from any man she sets her sights on. Only recently, every time she gets a fix she wakes up and it's gone. No post-sex glow, no life force energy coursing through her body. Totally and completely drained. Which wouldn't be such a problem if she didn't need the energy to live. And if there weren't a mysterious band of angels roaming through her 'hood. Determined to get to the bottom of it, in Succubus Dreams, Georgina sets out to train her intern, fix her relationship, and find out why she can't keep a fix.
This book follows Succubus Blues (Georgina Kincaid, Book 1) and Succubus on Top (Georgina Kincaid, Book 2) as the third book in Richelle Mead's succubus series. And this is one series that just keeps getting better. Succubus Blues was a light-hearted introduction to a heroine you want to hate but can't. I mean, she can get laid at the drop of a hat, if she has a bad hair day she just shape-shifts it away, and she can have any man that she wants. What's not to hate. But SB also showed Georgina's vulnerability. She doesn't want to be a career succubus, and has remorse about the souls that she steals. Then Succubus on Top was more about Georgina the succubus and the goings-on in the dark side. The relationship with Seth was more fleshed out, and readers got a little bit more background on how Georgina became the woman she is now. Well if those were the intro, this is the real deal. Succubus Dreams is the heavy hitter in this series. Delving into Georgina's morals--can she really condemn Seth to a life without sex? Even if she says he can get it elsewhere, they both know it will kill her if he does. Can she live the rest of her life seducing the innocent? She sold her soul to help the man that she loved once, but when the imp who brokered the deal shows up, Georgina has to finally take a hard look inside. And is she really cut out to work for the dark side?
All that and more is tackled in this book, and I have to say it's the best in the series. I enjoyed it from start to finish and look forward to seeing where Ms. Mead takes us in the next book in the series, Succubus Heat, which releases January 2009.

This is the third book in the Georgina Kincaid series by Richelle Mead. While I enjoyed this book, I didn't find it as compelling as the second book was. The side characters introduced in this book also weren't as engaging as those introduced in the second book and I really missed Bastien.
In this book Georgina keeps having really vivid dreams the night after she takes a victim; the dreams leave her incredibly drained of life force. As if this oddity isn't bad enough the demon who owns the contract for her soul brings in a succubus named Tawny for Georgina to apprentice. Georgina is trying to cope with all of this and it is creating a stress on her relationship with Seth.
I didn't like this book as much as the last one; I thought Georgina was a bit unfocused through parts of the book. Also the side characters didn't grab me and hold my interest like Bastien did. It seemed like a lot of this book was focused on Georgina's struggles with her daily life, more than any big investigation. Having a bunch of angels in the book was interesting but they flitted in and out of the story so quickly that I didn't think they were developed into characters all that well. I thought Tawny's character was annoying and somewhat unnecessary. My biggest problem was with the ending. I won't give anything away but I thought that multi-book build up between Georgina and Seth was poorly and quickly treated at the end of the book (if you read the book you will know what I mean).
The things I did like were the interludes that told stories from Georgina's past. These short glimpses into Georgina's former aliases were griping, very interesting, and bittersweet. I also liked meeting the demon who took Georgina's soul. I found it very intriguing that Carter again hinted that Georgina's contract with hell might not be exactly what she thinks it is; this is a theme continued from the second book. I also liked the inclusion of Dante as a supporting character; he is somewhat interesting and I hope his role is bigger in future books.
The overall theme of this series seems to be Georgina's struggle against her contract for her soul and I am intrigued to see where this over arcing story leads. I was somewhat disappointed that the mystery and characterization wasn't as engaging as the second book. It was still a good read though and I look forward to the next book; I am still wishing these books had more action in them. They remind me a lot of the Kitty Norville series in their level of action.

Succubus Dreams is an emotionally draining, unexpectedly insightful book about love, death, and everything in between. Elisabeth's narration is, as usual, flawless. She is Georgina Kincaid! The ending absolutely devastated me but, I have faith in Richelle Mead. All is not lost! Inspite of the brutal curve ball that gets thrown at readers, Succubus Dreams is the best installment yet!
After reading the back blurb, I expected another comical yet sizzling addition to the Georgina Kincaid series. The first half of this book definitely delivers on both those fronts. The preposterousness of one succubus trying to teach another how to pick-up men struck me from the get go. Georgina's not exactly the patient, mentoring type; so I was eager to see what sort of havoc Tawny was going to stir up. Mead did not disappoint! Saying that Kincaid's methods are unconventional is the biggest understatement of the year. She tries everything to get the newbie laid but to no avail. I didn't expect that a tall, big boobed, blonde barbie-type woman would have such problems hooking up!
The weirdest yet cutest couple in paranormal romance are at it again! I'm head over heels in love with Seth. Talk about the sweetest guy on the face of the planet! Although, his relationship with Georgina takes a serious turn in Succubus Dreams and never really bounces back. Their talks are incredibly moving, astoundingly deep and will leave you with the urge to reach into their world and shake some sense into these two love birds. You are going to cry at least once while reading this book. Guaranteed! There's once scene that I'm having trouble shaking. It's just so... sad. Absolutely brilliant writing on Richelle's part but, WHY!? Why did she have to devastate us like that? I'm still not completely over it. Can you tell?
A new character by the name on Dante is introduced and I thoughroughly enjoyed his story. Admittedly, I spent a good chunk of the book despising him but after learning why he is the way he is and witnessing his conversations with Georgina; I take every negative thing I thought about him back. He's definitely not an angel like Seth but there's something equally as charming about a tortured soul. There's also a second love story between Vincent and Yasmine that's as tragic as Georgina and Seth's. Even Mead's witty humour won't be able to distract you from how sad this book really is. Apparently Richelle doesn't believe in happily ever after for her characters. Well, not yet anyway.
I was pleasantly surprised by Mead's broad spectrum writing in this third installment. Georgina's trademark blunt, sarcastic charm is ever present and one of the main reasons why I love this series so much. But, the emotional depth that's demonstrated by several of the characters in Succubus Dreams was unexpected yet remarkably well done. I'm hoping that Succubus Heart has a lighter tone though because I don't think that I can take two heartbreaking books in a row! Succubus Dreams is my favorite and least favorite novel in this series so far. Try to figure that one out!

Succubus Dreams is the third book in Richelle Mead's succubi series. Meet Georgina Kincaid, Seattle's top succubus, whose most intense desires are for a normal, happy relationship and to one day have children... neither of which are going to be easy for her to attain as a minion of hell.
This is a fabulous sequel. Georgina's relationship with the author Seth is going relatively well, even though they can't be very close sexually. Then we meet Tawny, the new succubus in town, and everything begins spiraling downhill from there. Tawny is amazingly inept, and if she does poorly, Georgina will be the one punished.
As if that weren't enough, Georgina comes to realize that every morning after she steals life energy, she wakes up completely drained, as if she'd never gone out hunting in the first place. Then her house becomes a meeting place for angels, one angel she discovers is on the dangerous verge of breaking the rules, and, of course, now is the time for her relationship with Seth to become complicated.
Mead still has a knack for prose; her words flow and are used so well. Images are vivid and alive, and each character is given a distinct personality.
However, as much as I enjoyed the novel, I felt this one was more predictable than the previous two. When Maddie claimed she had a secret, I already knew exactly what it was. Seth's revelation near the end came as no surprise to me, even though it shocked Georgina. Niphon's role was predictable, and Tawny's even more so.
Despite that, I still highly recommend following up. Mead's writing is superb and only gets better with each novel she writes. Her characters never fail to change, grow, and even fall several steps back. In short, this is definitely worth the read.

It's the third book! Do you know what that means? It's time to throw a wrench in the whole story. And boy, does this one ever.
This was one of the books just felt like punching. I no longer like Seth, but I like Carter even more. The other characters? *sigh* I just wish Georgina could find some happiness. I feel like she lost everything in this book.
Seth, I don't even know what to say about you. I thought you were a nice guy. Georgina said you could get your sex fix elsewhere. What do you do? Sleep with and begin a relationship with her close friend? Break up with her? Take a dig at her humanity? I don't know you any longer, Seth Mortensen, and I don't like what I see.

The lovable hell serving, soul sucking succubus is back and better than ever in Succubus Dreams (say that 3 times fast!). Georgina has had her share of drama lately, and it only gets worse. Her human boyfriend Seth has been crazy writing his new novel, and she is feeling the strain in their relationship growing. How could she not when she can't so much as kiss Seth too long without sucking away bits of his soul? Too bad her problem with Seth is only the tip of the iceberg. Niphon, Georgina's arch nemesis, is in town with a new totally inept Succubus named Tawney that she is required to train. As an added bonus, Niphon is staying in town until Tawney takes her first soul - oh joy! Of course Niphon seems to be up to something and Georgina wants to find out what it is before it's too late. You would think that it ends there for this poor succubus, but there is more to add to the crap piling against her. Every time she falls asleep, Georgina is having dreams of a daughter that she knows she can never have. A dream that feels so real that she wakes up longing for the little girl. She also wakes up with her life force drained, and a need to re-up by sucking human souls. This happens repeatedly, and she must find out why. The only person she can turn to is a magic wielder named Dante who is filled with evil magic. His flirtatious ways and indirect answers just have her more confused then before. Add to the fact that angels are holding meetings in her house, imps are trying to get Seth's innocent soul, and she can be held accountable by hell if Tawney doesn't take her first victim soon, and you have non-stop drama, excitement, mystery, and action from the very first page!
This book is what sold the rest of the series for me. I always liked the series, but the emotional rollercoaster ride you have while reading this book has most readers (me included) admitting that Mead's writing and this series now reaches a whole new level of awesomeness. Add the surprise ending and this is an absolute must read!

As the third installment in the Georgina Kinkaid series, this one not only doesn't disappoint, but packs a heck of a punch. And that's what I love about Mead's characters: they are the most 'human' demons I've read! I empathize and sympathize with Georgina through her victories & defeats as a succubus and as a person. It's what has bound the readers to relate so well to Mead's world of otherworldly characters. After weaving the ins and outs of her unbelievable relationship, this book takes a pivotal turn that will make or break her will and hope to love. With her friends keeping her close and helping her in trouble, I'm betting Ms Kinkaid can take anything thrown at her and more. We shall see!

Book three of one of my favorite series. Richelle Mead really knows how to create a captivating fantasy world.
In this book Georgina continues her sexless relationship with Seth and it is not going too well. She also has a trainee - a freshly-converted clueless succubus. Plus, Georgina is tortured by mysterious dreams that leave her drained of energy.
Once again, Richelle Mead delivers. She goes deeper into her mythology and we learn more about the fascinating world of angels, demons, etc.
In spite of all good aspects of the book, I still can't give it 5 stars. Mainly because Georgina drives me crazy sometimes. She has a lot of soul-searching and growing up to do in the future books. I also found that relationship between Georgina and Seth lacks something, but that gets fixed in the end of this book very well. In fact, in my opinion the climax of this installment is the best in the series so far.
Enjoy!

Georgie keeps cruising Seattle streets with some new challenges at hands. She's got to mentor one epic failure succubus brought in town by the imp who bought her soul. Makes our succubi mad out of her mind and he keeps poking here and there trying to make her life miserable and she can't figure out why.
Babysitting the ridiculous succubi isn't enough of a burden, Geogina can't seem to sleep safely. Something is feeding on her overnight, while she dreams of a nice impossible future.
Her relationship with Seth isn't getting easier and it's gonna take a very interesting twist in that novel!
Like all of Richelle Mead books I really enjoyed that one. Georgina is so awesome, you'd just want a girl like take to be your friend, demon job aside. She's gonna live thought some major loss in the book and you can't help but feel for her. I was left stunned at the end of the book. I just couldn't believe it.

This was my favorite Georgina Kincaid book so far. I really enjoyed the story and the addition of the new angel characters. What a surprise at the ending! I think I actually gasped out loud. Georgina is growing on me, despite the fact that she is a demon from hell. I love reading about her human days and her relationships (or lack thereof) over the years. There is still a good bit of bodice-ripping in this book, but not as much as Succubus on Top. Or I could just be getting used to it.

My least favorite in the series so far probably because of Seth and Georgina. The last twenty pages was a killer. Now I'm just sad because the book before this was my favorite of the series and a five star read. I thought the plot dragged a bit and was tedious at times. I'm hoping the next book is better. I'm still enjoying the series.

I definitely enjoyed this book. Such a fun read and I love Georgie. These books are always fun to get lost in when you need a story that will keep you hooked and you want to get lost in a book. A definite recommendation if you love this type of story.

Shape shifting succubus Georgina Kincaid is concerned with the strange dreams of a weird future she has begun having as she is unused to being the one drained of energy; instead as a hell class succubus she does the draining of men she has sex with. Desperate for relief, she visits dream interpreter Dante Moriarty, but he proves more charming than a snake oil salesman; providing her with no sustenance.
She considers discussing her fears with has platonic boyfriend bestselling writer Seth Mortensen, but hesitates as she knows he is obsessed with his writing at the moment; besides she might want to test the life in her man which can prove deadly to the male. Finally there is her inept apprentice succubus Tawny, but the new kid on the block is a know it all who knows nothing at all. Soon, matters turn odder when angels arrive for no earthly reason. New York is turning into hell in a hand basket if you ask Georgina as she has an unknown adversary to confront.
The third well written Succubus saga (see SUCCUBUS BLUES and SUCCUBUS ON TOP) is an engaging lighthearted paranormal romantic romp with Georgina struggling to solve the mystery of whom and why someone is draining her when she sleeps. The story line is fast-paced and filled with heated sex, but it is the bewildered beleaguered belle from hell who keeps the plot focused as she deals with the men and one woman in her life instead of the usual life in her men.

The end of this book is awful. How characters can even use the word "love" in this book is beyond me. Why spend so much time developing an amazing love story to have it thrown away so flippantly? I will not be reading anymore books in the series.

Really disappointed in this book after the first two. This one just is flat and gratuitously dark. There's no nuances of morality or life here. It's just sad and bleak because the writer set up characters for meaningless suffering.

I wish Richelle would continue writing her adult novels they are very good, very interesting plots with lots of interesting adult things going on. I've been reading her young adult series too just haven't been able to get into them as much....

Seth Mortensen gave us a whole new definition of the word tactful.
I could talk about the plot, about the characters, about the writing, but saying that those were the things that struck me would be a lie.
I'm so shocked upset pissed off by Seth's speech that nothing useful - or coherent - comes to my mind.
Except, maybe, that Richelle has the wonderful - yet infuriating - ability to create worlds whose rules I intensely hate - as in, angels can't love a particular person because their love is all and only for God. Which is kind of logical, but it still upsets me.
Also, I think Dante is going to be an interesting character and I can't wait to see more of him in the next books.

I just love Richelle Mead! Her books always captivate me (and make me laugh!) And she created another fantastic book that i recommend to everyone that likes this genre. The pace is great, writing style is amazing (a lot of sarcasm in the humor for those who love that) and the characters are just so believable and that's saying a lot considering they are succubi, vampires, demons and angels...
The love story is intriguing but it doesn't completely take over the book and the sex scenes are not too frequent, and when they happen, it's not what you would expect!!
For those of you in doubt, stop and buy it, you won't regret it!

This series is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. It was a little slow compared to the first 2, that is why only 4 stars. But was an overall good read. I do recommend it to others, you won't be disappointed.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this series and this 3rd book is no exception.
** Warning: Spoilers in my review.
Georgina Kincaid is having a heck of a Christmas so far. As she's continuing to work hard at her relationship with Seth, a relationship that everyone thinks is a hopeless case, she finds out that she's to be a mentor to a brand new succubus who is terrible at her job. Not only that but the imp who had bought her soul is the one who has to oversee her mentoring of the new succubus and he definately seems to be out to make sure she fails in her role although she does not know why.
A posse of angels sets up camp in her apartment with a mysterious agenda, she has a lot of hot succubus scenes and finds that it is getting harder and harder to deny the desires between her and Seth. More trouble is on the horizon as our heroine discovers that something or someone is draining her energy. She has strange fascinating and realistic dreams then wakes up with all her energy gone, meaning she has to 'feed' more often. This situation causes her to seek out help and she is directed towards a man name Dante who isn't really helpful in doing anything more then to confuse her further.
You see glimpses of her past and it just makes Georgina even more of a real person. You find yourself feeling sorrow and empathy for her in her remebrances of the past, her mistakes that she's made and the guilt that she carries around. Some of the characters reference that she's the 'succubus with a heart' and that may be simplistic but it's true. Her actions don't seem evil but merely those of any normal human being with emotions. She still finds joy in life even in her situation. She's still a romantic, she's pragmatic but optimistic and she has a great cast of friends.
The ending made me cry and upset me, which is a testement to the author's skill in creating such a likable and realistic character. SPOILER.....Her relationship with Seth takes a incredibally (for me) tragic turn and I wanted to rail against the fates for her sake. I really hated Seth and still do, because I had liked him so much before and as he betrayed Georgina, I felt betrayed as well. I felt sorry for him, but no longer. I wasn't satisfied with the way it ended. I wanted Seth to suffer, perhaps he is suffering, but that doesn't change what he'd done. It shocked me that this happened and I don't know how it will be handled in the next book. I'm rooting for Georgina to find happiness, true happiness, and am confident that she will.

Tiny spoiler... be warned. This was my favorite book in the series, yet when I was finished I was left unsatisfied. Georgina is being preyed upon, gets interested in voyeurism, and to top it all off she gets dumped, thats right she gets dumped. I cried for like an hour, it was depressing because it ended on such a sad note, with little hope on Georgina and Seth getting back together, or just Georgina being happy period. But one can only hope, and authors never cease to amaze me.

After reading Succubus Dreams and listening to the audio book of Shadow Kiss and crying during both I've come to the realization that I love the way Richelle Mead writes. I can't wait for the next book in both series.
