Absolutely INCINERATING!!!
After the little 'amuse-bouche' I had in BOOTS OPTIONAL of Grace, Grant and Lane, I was eager to dive in to BETTING ON GRACE. Boy.... no disappointment there! Just as deliciously voluptuous as promised, but with a bit more 'bite'.
Grace has enjoyed the attentions of Grant and Lane in the past few months, very much so, but sneaking around on everyone is taking its toll. She would love nothing better than to be able to express her feelings for these two men out in the open, but how does one go about opening up when it is something she is not particular good at doing anyway? Besides, theirs is not the most conventional of relationships and how can she explain that?
Lane is probably more at ease with where their threesome is and where he would like it to go, than either of the other two. But even he recognizes the potential pitfalls. Although his biggest issue is not so much what the world at large thinks, but rather the level of committment of his lovers. Is he going to have to be content to be the only one of the three of them who puts himself on the line?
Even though Grant deeply cares for his lovers, his life is spinning out of control and for someone who at the best of times has difficulty expressing himself, this is cause for him to clam up even more. Confused, frightened and feeling without direction, he needs to balance of Lane and Grace to keep him grounded. But it is time for him to stand up and be counted as well.
The context of the story just deep enough to make it compelling, yet not too heavy. I still count this as reasonably light reading from an emotional point of view. A tad predictable, but that doesn't take away from the seduction of the story as a whole. A highly satisfying read on many levels!
A touch of angst, some intense family drama and wicked, wild monkey sex!! That is what Nicole Edwards is promising with BETTING ON GRACE and her new Dead Heat Ranch Series!
✨Wonderful, wild and wicked!!✨

Betting on Grace tells the story of Grace, one of the five daughters of the Dead Heat Ranch and the two sexy cowboys that she falls in love with, while they are in love with each other.
Several plots run through the story with the main one about the developing relationship between Grace, Grant and Lane. Guest to the ranch also have a story when Ben brings his young daughter Maddie to visit and looks interested in Grace's older sister, Hope. Jerry, Grace's Dad brings a new girlfriend to the ranch for the first time since his wife died sixteen year earlier. Grant's Dad brings trouble to the threesome and to the ranch. Grace also is forced to face her feelings about racing that are strongly attached to her mother's death when she races her father and wins. Mostly this is a hot sexy novel about three people in a love relationship and learning to seek acceptance from those they love.
I want to thank Nicole Edwards, author and First Reads Giveaway for the copy of Betting On Grace that I won in the Giveaway.

Betting on Grace opens up a few months after Boots Optional with one heck of a bang (pun intended!) and whoa- you have my full and undivided attention Nicole Edwards!!! No one knows about their relationship yet although Mercy suspects what is happening. The summer tourist season is in full swing requiring long work hours with little time for play. And now Grant is faced with a dilemma in the form of his family history making its somewhat ugly presence known, causing him to pull away from both Lane and Grace in the hope he can spare them from any fallout from it. Neither one is prepared to allow him to do that, forcing him to come to the realization that they can face their problems together.
Throughout the book, the 3 of them try to figure how to make their unconventional relationship work to stand the test of time even as they worry about how to break the news to their respective families. Like any fledgling relationship, they need to navigate their different personalities and experiences to find their strength together before they can take on the rest of the world and its preconceived notions on what a relationship should look like. Add in Grant’s family drama, Grace’s meddling sisters, and the possibility of her father’s ire and disapproval looming over them while they put their game faces on for the tourists staying on the ranch before summer’s end and they have a lot on their plates. But oh don’t worry, the heat outside has nothing on the heat Ms. Edwards makes sure they have to time to create for themselves behind closed doors whether it is just two of them or all three together!
Family ties are a key theme throughout the book, and the entire Lambert family figures into the story in one way or another. Romantic interests for all the Lambert sisters seem to be introduced here but it remains to be seen how that all shakes out. Overall I feel like this was a solid start to a great new series- ladies, be sure to have your fans, ice and/or your significant other ready and waiting as you make your way through these books because you will be needing them!

Betting on Grace is the first full length novel from Nicole Edwards’ new Dead Heat Ranch series which focuses on five sisters living and working on a ranch in Texas with their father. The first book centres around the relationship between Grace Lambert, one of the sisters and two of the ranch hands, Grant and Laine. I recommend reading the prequel novella, Boots Optional, to see how these three got together in the first place.
Get ready for some more explosive hot cowboy action – we join our threesome several weeks into their secret relationship and, as hot as it is, things are not really going that well. They’re struggling to find together and keeping their unconventional relationship a secret is taking it’s toll as Grant appears to be attempting to put some emotional distance between himself and the other two, fearing the wrath of Gracie’s father when and if he eventually finds out that his beautiful daughter is sleeping with two of his men!
Grant is a very conflicted cowboy. He loves it when Laine calls him baby but a wretched childhood has left him unsure about love and commitment but he really comes to value the relationship he has with these two and there’s some fairly emotional scenes in store as he eventually opens up to them, possibly for the first time in his life. Watch out for his no-good father who will slither in to attempt to spoil things for him.
Laine is very different from Grant – he’s very open and very receptive and he knows that this relationship he has with Laine and Gracie is something very special. He knows that he loves them and is pretty sure that they love him too. He has it all clear in his head but Grant’s reticence and Gracie’s fear of her father discovering their relationship puts his his happiness on the line and he begins to despair that the other two will ever open up and admit their feelings.
Gracie is a feisty, kickass heroine who is desperately in need of the love of these two cowboys after she has never really gotten over the death of her Mother. I felt a bit sorry for her as she seems to have thrown away all her hopes and dreams and just settled for what she has now. Grant and Laine are perfect for her – no way she could ever choose between them.
It’s so good to be back in Nicole Edwards’ sexy Texas where the weather is hot and the cowboys are even hotter. She does a fantastic job of depicting a hectic, busy ranch and laying good foundations for the rest of the sister’s stories which are still to come. We have a little insight to all of their possible relationships, not a lot but enough to truly whet the appetite. As always Nic does an amazing job of combining super-hot erotic scenes with real, heartfelt emotion and this is another fine example of a ménage relationship based in true love.
Can’t wait for the rest of the series

My money’s always on Grace. Always.
When Betting on Grace begins, Grace, Grant, and Lane are committed to making their relationship work despite the required secrecy and the craziness of life on the ranch. But when the added pressures of family, the inability to admit feelings, and the stress of being outed threaten to tear them apart, all three of them need to decide if what they have together is worth going up against everyone who sees it as wrong and finally stand up for the relationship they can’t live without.
One aspect of Nicole Edwards’ writing that is always done with precision is her character development. Grace, Grant, and Lane definitely have very distinct and separate personalities, which she does a great job of showcasing throughout the course of their story. Grace has always been the straight laced woman, always staying on the right path, but what she feels for both Grant and Lane makes her feel alive and loved, so even though this new journey she’s chosen to take with them is not what is expected of her, she doesn’t want to be anywhere else. Grace is a spirited and spunky woman who fights like hell to protect those she loves; she’s committed to the ranch and her family as well as to the two men who own her heart, so if anyone threatens them, you can bet Gracie’s going to do everything she can to ensure they remain unscathed.
Out of the three of them, Grant has the hardest time admitting that what he has with Grace and Lane is more than just sex. His life hasn’t been easy, but he’s finally found a home on Dead Heat Ranch, and the life he’s always wanted with the two people he loves; he just needs a bit more time to process it all. Grant’s past with his parents and his father’s abuse is a determining factor as to why Grant’s as closed off as he is, but if Lane and Grace have any say in the matter, each loving touch and tender caress will prove to Grant that he’s truly safe with them and they have his back regardless of what life throws at him.
Lane wears his heart on his sleeve, and his emotions dictate his choices. From the very beginning of his relationship with Grace and Grant, he’s been upfront with his feelings. He’s wanted both of them for a really long time, and now that he has them, he’s going to tell them exactly what they mean to him. His passion and commitment is what allows him to talk Grant down on more than one occasion and speak up when Grant pushes him and Gracie away. He’s the glue to their relationship. He’s the one who helps both Grace and Grant see that what they have is a hell of a lot more than just sex.
All three of the main characters are stubborn, fierce, and feisty, so readers can just imagine the type of chemistry they have in and outside of the bedroom. The sex scenes with all three of them as well as just when it’s two of them are scorching, but they’re about so much more than that – Edwards writes the scenes in such a way that readers can feel the passion and love that the threesome has for each other. The times they have sex give them so much more than a release; it allows them to say the things to each other with their bodies that they do not have the guts yet to say with words.
The supporting characters in this book also add an immense amount of depth to the storyline. Grace is extremely close to her sisters and father; they rely on each other and help one another get through many situations. They also are privy to inside information that the others are not. Because readers see the events on more than one occasion through Mercy, Gracie’s sister, and Jerry, Gracie’s father’s, eyes, we are allowed to come at things through different angles. Everything isn’t so black and white because they add a dynamic to the plot that would never have been considered without witnessing it from their perspective.
Betting on Grace is an absolute gem of a read. It is 100% character driven, which allows readers to invest themselves in the characters’ lives. So that when they are struggling, in pain, or ready to blow, we experience those feelings right along with them. Nicole Edwards presents the passion, struggles, and concerns of a ménage relationship extremely well; it’s clear that not everyone is going to agree with it or understand it, but in the end, Gracie, Grant, and Lane are the only three people who matter anyways, so if it’s what they want and need in their lives then that’s what they should have.
Now I have another Nicole Edwards’ series to enthrall myself with and I can’t wait to see who the next Lambert sister is to give into what her heart wants.

After finishing Boots Optional I then started Betting On Grace, the whole first Chapter…OH MY!!!! I literally needed a fan to cool me down….it was getting “Hot in here”…lol.
This book was so enthralling, the story line, the characters all made this book so great to read. I loved Grace’s family, her father Jerry, her sisters, the cowboys, especially Lane & Grant. Then we had the chance to meet some of the guest’s on the Ranch!!
Grace’s sister Mercy was such a great character, she was brilliant and somewhat sneaky and I look forward to hearing more about her!!
I loved the fact that Gracie, Grant & Lane finally opened up to each other in many ways not just sexual. Grant, especially!! He is not used to being loved and for 2 people to care as much as they do to help him in a family matter, you had to really feel for him, I know I did. At one point in the story I shed some tears because the emotions everyone was feeling was so raw and I just couldn’t help it.
I especially loved when Gracie told her father what was happening with Grant & Lane…all 3 of them were all so worried how her father may react…but in the end….what matters most was the way they felt for each other.
I literally wanted to be there at the ranch, a part of everything….its how I felt while reading such an incredibly well written story!!!
Well done Nicole, yet another amazing story from your incredible talent as a writer.
Add Nicole's books to your TBR list!!! Or you will be missing out!!!

This book picks up right where Boots Optional left off. Grace, Lane and Grant are all in a relationship now. Grace is still getting used to the fact that she is in love with two cowboys and they are both in love with her. Her sister, Mercy knows her secret but she is hesitant to tell the rest of her family, especially her father Jerry. She is sure that her tough cowboy of a father will not understand her new romance even though Jerry has a big secret of his own.
Grant is having problems of his own. His father has a gambling problem and harassing him constantly. Grant's mother is missing and no one has heard from her. Grant is used to dealing with his own problems and is not used to depending on anyone for help. Grace and Lane are not having any part of that. They love him too much to let him go it alone.
Lane is just Lane. Take him or leave him. He has a heart of gold and loves deeply. He is just not good at expressing himself the way he would like to.
Oh, Nicole! You have done it again. What a wonderful new series. This is a smoking hot, steamy read that will keep you entertained and enthralled. You can't go wrong with two sexy cowboys and a feisty hard-headed cowgirl thrown into the mix. With five sisters and plenty of cowboys on Dead Heat Ranch, I am hoping for many more books in this series.

2 hot cowboys + 1 sassy cowgirl = lust, love and every position possible aka me in heaven!
GOSH do I love Nicole Edwards menages, ever since it became a kind of obsession. So far, she never disappoints with these. They are hot, kind of realistic and easy to fall for.
You are captured from the first to the last word and never want it to end. It's easy to fall for her characters who have real fears and feelings and insecurities. Their story might be fictional, but could easily been real.
On the top of it, there are always stories and characters around them that you can't wait to read about as well.
Grace, Lane and Grant all have their demons to deal with. They have to fight for what they want. They have to find out what they want. They need to stand up for what they want. Can they do it? Well, read it!
Thank you Nicole for another great book and the great beginning to a new series!

Nicole Edwards writes an emotional story of three different people from differing backgrounds who are forced to come to terms with their pasts and their places in the present and with each other. She deals with all three of the characters faults and doubts of whether their relationship will be accepted in a frank manner but with kindness and compassion. Both Grant and Lane, while comfortable in their sexuality, still have doubts as to whether they are living the right lifestyle. I found this to be very believable under the circumstances since in real life that is a struggle that many who lead alternative lifestyles face.
The supporting characters are well-drawn and support rather than overpower. We are introduced to some new storylines that I sincerely hope will be addressed in future novels in the series.
The romance scenes are incredibly hot as Nicole Edwards pulls out all the stops in the story, making it as realistic as possible. I was impressed by how she was able to mix it up and make each encounter different and unique beyond just placing it in a different setting. Very impressive.

Before you read Betting on Grace please, please read the short novella Boots Optional. Boots Optional shows the reader how Grace Lambert, Grant Kingsley and Lane Miller come together. Yes, this is a menage, a menage where all three members love each other.
I loved this story, these three were clearly meant to be together and this book truly had me falling in love with the Lambert family and the staff of the ranch which is very much a big extended family.
The book takes place on Dead Heat Ranch, a dude ranch owned and run by the Lambert family which is Grace, her Dad Jerry and 4 sister's, Hope, Mercy, Trinity and Faith.
Ok back to the core of the book, Grace, Lane and Grant were characters I was rooting for in Boots Optional but Betting on Grace brought this to a whole new level. Ms. Edwards masterfully crafted the back story for each of these characters, characters that have taken up residence in my heart. I have to pause and say I love Lane, not sure why Ok maybe I know why - he is adorable and lovable and makes me smile with his wit and humor.
Mr. Lambert, the patriarch was so well written, he has unique relationships with each of his girls and his dealings with his ranch staff all build a man that felt real. Oh hint, Mr. Lambert has some heart filled moments of his own so be prepared for those.
The use of secondary characters in this book extended past those at the ranch, the use of Grant's father truly made this story work. This was not a formula story line, the issues Grant's father Darrell are not about Grant being bisexual. This was refreshing and what Darrell is and how it plays out in the story line was something I truly enjoyed. It added to Grant's back story, helped the reader better understand who he was and moved the story line forward with a unique story line idea.
This story is hot, like all kinds of various positions and play on three people connecting kind of hot but for me personally "the no one touches me scene" may have been the hottest, through its flip from sexy to emotionally charged, this scene truly took this book to a new level.
As the story builds, the reader learns more about Grace's past specifically related to her deceased mom. The use of her mom, her relationship with her mom and the bonding time with her mom grabbed my heart and then spun into a wonderful end for this book, the end of the book is also a cute tie into the name of the book.
Ms. Edwards did an outstanding job transporting the reader to Dead Heat Ranch, her masterful use of words put the reader in the middle of an active ranch; I thoroughly enjoyed all the small details; Budweiser and Dixie were adorable adds and truly helped the reader feel part of ranch life.
More to add.. I love Ben and Maddie and I can't wait to see more as I truly hope they are woven into one of the sisters books more! Hint hint
Ms. Edwards does an amazing job crafting a personality for all 5 of the Lambert sisters; yes I now want a story and a happy for each sister. Betting on Grace had some wonderful clues and lead-ins for each sister and I know I plan to read the whole series as it releases! This is a new must read series for me.
Thank you to Ms. Edwards for another wonderful family to love! And to adding to my very long to read list.

This is not your typical cowboy romance. No ma'am. This is a cowboy menage romance. Yes ma'am, two sexy Wranglers and one spitfire woman make for one awesome and steamy story. Lane and Grant like each other AND they both like Gracie. The book begins with Gracie, who likes both cowboys, stumbles upon Lane and Grant in an interesting position. She is surprised that seeing them together turns her on. After knowing each other for several years and fighting their emotions for a few months they finally give in to each other. There is much family drama between the Lambert sisters as well as Grant and Lane's families. I loved the connection and dynamic of the trio's relationship, how it grew and who they are as characters. I really loved how this ended, I did shed some tears. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading cowboy romance, menage and doesn't mind the added family drama thrown in.

Looking forward to the continuation of this series and how it all plays out with Jerry and the girls..

The heated romance between Gracie Lambert, Grant Kingsley and Lane Miller that started in Boots Optional, evolves in Betting on Grace. As the cowboys and their cowgirl fall head over heels for each other, figuring out how to work their relationship becomes paramount. Between work, family and other responsibilities, their secret is threatened and protecting who they love will change everything. Nicole Edwards knows how to shake things up and write a scorching hot M/M/W romance like no other. Cold shower anyone?

This is the perfect name for this book. Nicole this is one of your best book. There are people in our world that have this perfect relationship. From Boots Optional you pulled us right in and sucked us dry (in a good way). I really didn't think that was going to end in a good way but it did and I am happy with the way it ended. I can not wait until the next Lambert sister comes along....

Nicole Edwards has done it again! she definitely knows how to kinky cowboys. I loved reading about Gracie, Lane and Grant. they had an uphill battle dealing with family issues and a preconceived notion on who a relationship is between.
I love Dead Heat Ranch and can't wait to read about the rest of the sister's.

Nobody writes this kind of love story like Nicole Edwards My first romance of this sort was Temptation by Nicole Edwards and just like then she's written a story that makes you fall completely in love with all the characters. Grace is so strong I lived her passion and strength to stand up for herself and the things she believed in She lost her Mom early in life and I totally connected with the character because I lost my Mom way to early in life I generally won't read a book where the Mother has died because I end up so depressed and crying This was handled well Nicole did an amazing job. Lane and Grant are impossible to not love too Two alpha cowboys each different in their own right but just the greatest guys ever You know you've found a gem when you could see yourself totally living the life of the main character and caring about all the other characters on the ranch I'm guessing Mercey will be next of the sisters to be written about and I can't wait to learn more about each sister and the men who live them Bravo Nicole Bravo

hmmmm what can I say about Grant, Gracie & Lane except Nicole Edwards once again did an AMAZING job! Proving once again you can't help who you fall in love with and you have to be willing to fight for love. Betting on Grace was unbelievably HOT and the love between these three was without a doubt worth all the fight it took to get their happy ending. I am can not wait for more from the Dead Heat Ranch series!

I have read every single book Nicole has written. While this one was not my favorite of her books it was still awesome and I really enjoyed it. I love how she has other characters entertained within the book so you can't wait to read their story. I am curious whose story is next. I am going to guess Hopes but it might be Mercy. Either way I can't wait!
