I started this journey in a spirit of criticism and judgement of myself and others. God has shed my weight of this evil spirit with His love and truth. I don't see myself the same way as I look in the mirror. And I don't see others the same either. I don't think I've lost any physical weight but my soul feels lighter...FREE?? The truth that He is pleased with me and in His strength I can live a life pleasing to Him has restored joy to my salvation. He is so good! And I am so thankful He brought me to this ministry? The Wellness Revelation is a must LIVE book! God has definitely loved the hell out of me these last 8wks??

This book is like having a personal trainer. A personal trainer for your health, wellness and fitness, but more importantly, for your spiritual life. The Wellness Revelation gets to the heart of the matter of what is really weighing us down. Yes, it addresses food, but it also addresses a host of topics, including body image issues, self discipline, pride, shame, and more. It has been a life changing book for me.

I have followed Alisa Keeton on her podcast Revelation Wellness (so amazing) and am part of their online fitness program RevWell TV. She is the real deal. I love how she shares her heart honestly but always leads us back to Christ.

If you need a transformation physically, emotionally or spiritually - read this book and start listening to the podcast.

God has used Alisa in my life in huge ways this past year from body image, to identity, to overcoming shame and so much more.

This book is an amazing 8-week study AND it comes with a full 8-weeks of video trainings and workouts. It's literally like having a personal trainer walking you through each step of the process for much less than the cost of one session with a trainer.

I highly recommend the book and this ministry!

The Wellness Revelation by Alisa Keeton is more than just a book. It is a book, Bible study, work out program, and healthy-eating plan all rolled into one eight-week journey program.

The Wellness Revelation starts with an introduction by with Keeton explaining how she got involved in fitness, how she turned her life over to Christ, and how readers can best use this book. The book could be used with a group, alone or with a trained Revelation Wellness instructor. Each of the eight weeks takes you on a journey of holistic fitness as you renew your mind, body and spirit to better serve God. Each week's study includes the chapter of explanation on the focus of the week, a Bible study, questions to relate to and to help you to better do the program, a prayer and a real-life story of how this program has made a difference to someone. In addition to all of the help and encouragement the book has to offer, there are additional helps available on the corresponding website on line.

I thought The Wellness Revelation was a good program. For the purpose of the review, I read through the book and did not do the program entirely. I did think the study, program, fitness and dietary helps would be good for someone looking to improve their total health. According to Keeton, on page 7, "70 percent of American were overweight in 2014. " Most of us could improve on our health and use our health to better serve God and those around us. This book paired with the on-line resources could be a real help to those who want to improve their health. It is a Christian book so there are a lot of Scriptures to back up the authors point of view and to encourage Christians to live their best life all the way around. I would recommend it to all who want to live a healthier lifestyle.

I received The Wellness Revelation from Tyndale House Publishers. I was not required to write a positive review in exchange for the book.

This was a very interesting book because of the information it presented, as well as the format. This book is broken broken down into 8 different weeks and includes Scripture, thoughts from the author, question and answer sections and much more. In the beginning of the book, there is a section to make an action plan based on when you are trying to achieve both physically and spiritually. This is helpful for setting goals while reading this book. I also really liked that throughout the book, there are a lot of questions for the reader to answer, as well as room in the book for the reader to write. In the back of the book, there is also a Moving Forward Journal page and a Workout Calendar.

I like this book for a couple reasons, the first being that it is very interactive. If I am going to read a self improvement book, I like the types that include activities such as journaling and questions and answer sections, as it helps the reader really connect with the information being presented. I also liked this book because it focused on both physical, mental and spiritual health and I am a big believer in the mind-body connection. So I believe if you are trying to improve any of those areas, you should probably work on all of them, as I believe they are all strongly connected. I think this book will be beneficial for people who have struggled with their physical fitness in the past but haven’t had much luck or can’t find anything that really works for them.

Thank you to the publisher, Tyndale, for sending me a review copy of this book.

The Wellness Revelation is a fitness book by Alisa Keeton. I'm not usually into fitness books because they make me feel depressed rather than motivated.

This book is an exception. It's not your typical "work out, you can DO it!" book. It also focuses on spiritual fitness. Your walk with the Lord. That's the most important kind of fitness.

There are some elements of the book I don't agree with, such as the yoga stuff (how do you take something and "yoke" it to Jesus?), and some of the bible verses are misunderstood or taken out of context.

But, all in all, I enjoyed this book. It gives practical advice on how love yourself where you are. I really think that's key for some of us that have had trouble with weight and fitness... loving ourselves as we are. If you can't do that, you can't really better yourself. Because you don't love yourself enough. That's what I took away from this book the most. It's not all that the book is about, of course, but it's the best part for me. Working on the heart of things is the key to changing.

I do recommend this book. It's very freeing. You'll feel better about yourself, so, in turn, you'll want to better yourself. I'll definitely be reading this one again, and I'll be highlighting and making notes. :)

The Wellness Revelation by Alisa Keeton is a great Bible study book - I've already recommended it to several different groups for audiences from 15-5. She focuses on loving God, ourselves, and others, so it's not a diet or weight loss book at all. It's a tool to help women live healthy and whole lives without addictions and burdens. It's packed full of scripture and practical ideas for living well. The whole book has a hopeful, you=can=do=it kind of feel.

It's set up to be an 8-week study. I wish I could change the layout of each week to be in a 5-day format. The week's reading seems long because of the layout, but it really doesn't take much time to read it. Each week has a reading (10-15 pages with stories and education), a respond section (6-10 pages of what to do with the information learned), a renew section with journal style reflection questions, a relate section with accountability questions to share with a a partner, and a reciprocate section with a spotlight story about wellness around the world.

The end of the book has a food journal to photocopy and a workout calendar to follow during the 8-week journey.

Overall, though I think the layout is lacking, the content is superb and I'll continue to recommend this book to others.

I received this book as a gift from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if an eight-week journey could help you physically and spiritually?  Alisa Keeton, a certified fitness professional, challenges us to get fit with God.  Her eight-week journey includes fitness training, Bible study and small group questions, all designed to get you fit from the inside out.

While working through the book can be done on your own, having an accountability partner or group will help you finish well and reach your goals.  If you have tried everything else and are ready to do something positive, "The Wellness Revelation" is a great start.

The book is just the beginning.  More information is available at wellnessrevelation.org.  Keeton encourages Bible study and prayer as part of your diet, exercise and weight loss plan.  Only by transforming your life from the inside can true transformation happen.

The Wellness Revelation
I personally believe the only way to accomplish anything in this life is with the help of God. He has said He wants the best for us. It's in the Bible. If you have not read it, I highly suggest that you do.

"The Wellness Generation" has an 8 week plan that involves a bit of homework alongside Bible studies, small group activities, exercise plan and more. In the book one learns how to renew their mind to rely on God. Quit blaming everyone else and making excuses. This book is for every BODY. Whether your Bend is to exercise every day, or to sit on the couch, or to eat for comfort, or out of obsession. It doesn't matter what your past or your present looks like, Alisa Keeton walks you through a journey of discovery.

It's a lot like heart surgery. You open the book like your initial consultation with an awareness that you think you might need this but you just aren't sure if you're ready. Are we ever really ready for open heart surgery?

Then, you begin the journey and slowly feel the great surgeon cutting into the deep places. He slowly reveals the inner chambers of our heart. With our permission and liability forms previously signed, we trust Him to do His mighty work. We are in a deep place with this surgeon. By the end of the journey, we awaken with battle scars. We have places of Revelation to share with others from our experience on the operating table. We want to tell everyone of the great success; how we can now FEEL the blood moving. Just like those who have blockage in their hearts, we leave this journey as new people. And the great Surgeon encourages us to not lose communication with Him, it's paramount to our continued healing.

I am blessed to have read this book and will reread it many more times. I look forward to leading others through the journey and seeing the healing journeys. Alisa Keeton heard from the Lord when she wrote these word, and all who read it will hear from Him, if they give Him permission. He awaits for your purchase, your signing of the permission and liability form to begin freeing your heart from blockages holding you back.

As a side note: This book is for all ages. As a homeschooling mom, I plan to use this as a supplemental Bible and health study so my kids grasp freedom in mind, body, and Spirit hopefully much younger than I did.
*I did receive a free copy of this book from Tyndale to review. This is my honest review and experience. I have since bought additional copies for my local library and some friends. It's that good!

The Wellness Revelation is for those who are seeking to bridge the gap between their faith and health. What does God really have to say about the way in which we steward our bodies (via neglect or obsession)? Personally, I knew a lot about God and I also knew a lot about fitness; however, I didn't quite understand how to connect the two.
I was introduced to Wellness Revelation during a very challenging period of my life. I'd been competing in bodybuilding competitions for three years. Needless to say, my body had become my idol. I didn't know this at the time; however, through The Wellness Revelation, God revealed this truth to me. Talk about EYE OPENING? All of my waking thoughts revolved around food, exercise, and my body. I was obsessed!. I thought I would never be able to go 5 minutes without thinking about food. I thought I was doomed for life. I'd accepted this was my fate in life. That I would forever live in guilt and shame. That I would never be satisfied unless I was 125 pounds and a size 0.
Thankfully God ordered my steps to Revelation Wellness and the Wellness Revelation. Through this book, I was able to not only know God's word but I was able to apply it. Application is where the rubber meets the road. It's not about hoarding information to regurgitate scriptures. It's about developing a relationship with God. It's about seeking Him first, often, and most. It's about being rooted in His great love.
I must warn you, this book is NOT a weight loss book. If you're still searching for the magic pixie dust, keep looking. This ain't it! It's also NOT for the person who doesn't believe God raised Jesus from the dead and that same power lives in you. That power enables you to embark upon a health journey fully dependent on the Father. Not yourself. In short, if Jesus ain't your jam, this is definitely NOT the book for you. Lastly, if you're NOT ready to go deep. This is NOT the book for you. This book transforms from the inside out. It's a heart check. Why do you really want to lose weight? Are your motives pure?
Now to the good news. If you're willing to put in the work, the chains of meal planning, calorie counting, macro counting, endless hours at the gym, <insert what has you in chains here> will be broken. I promise you'll be set free, to set free.

The Wellness Revelation is an 8-week workbook. Each week takes a different focus of spiritual and physical wellness. Keeton does an excellent job of showing how the two are related and gently leads the reader through helpful revelations to open doors to better health and encouragement.
The main downfall of the book is that it references several workout routines, assessments, and plans that are not included in the book nor on the website. I'm assuming that they are available for a monthly fee through her organization. Without those, the book isn't as helpful as it could be. I felt a little like I was reading the class notes for a class I wasn't a part of. So I got the idea but felt that there was more out there.
As it is, it has several aha moments that it can help those that are looking to connect their spiritual and physical lives. I tried working through the book myself but because of the lack of assessments and personal accountability group, I was not encouraged to move very far through the program. On the website, there is a free seven-day detox. I am intrigued to figure out how much personal growth could occur by actually enrolling in a class, but my true hope was that the book would be a stand alone 8-week journey that I could do on my own or with friends. I wonder if an appendix or two was left out accidentally.

***UPDATE*** I was contacted by the publisher. The pdf file that is linked to from the Wellness Revelation Website actually has hyperlinks embedded into the file. Which means that yes, there is an appendix or two that are available on the web. The pdf links to various videos and podcasts. This addition does make the book a complete resource. Just need to add a willing spirit and maybe a buddy or two.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale Publishing House. I'm never required to give a positive review, but always thankful when I can.

Amazing opportunity for an 8 week journey to impact body mind and spirit. I love the way the book offers an effective tracking option for growth. The book also pairs with a personal trainer and video work out plan via webTV. Great discussion questions and the opportunity to go deeper in scripture and with a group of people. It's one book but offers a life changing opportunity!

I absolutely loved this book and will be reading it again. It is filled with so much knowledge, practical application, access to live workout video's, a step by step approach to being free from whatever is "weighing" you down physically, spiritually, and mentally, plus so much more.
If you are ready to actually make a change like never before, this book is for you. Alisa has a heart of gold and a love for God and others that is so evident that it makes you want what she's dishing out. Enjoy.

Challenging and encouraging, full of scripture. I love Alisa's spirit which is evident in the writing of this book as well as in her podcasts and FB live videos. If you are looking for something to walk you through a journey to wholeness - physical, spiritual, and mental/emotional - I recommend this book.

This book has helped me have a “healthy outlook on my relationships to food and fitness. I lost over 50lbs just about 10years ago and began my fitness career shortly after. I have been a disciple of Jesus for almost 20years. I often felt very alone in my walk with God and my relationships to food and fitness. Going between obsession and neglect( you have these words to me) that has helped me to see and live whole! - it is still a battle between the two but putting words to it has given freedom. Being able to love and be present in the journey!

As a certified personal trainer, I can't tell you the impact that this book will have in your efforts towards health. It's so easy to make our heath something in our control and use our mind to whip our bodies into shape. But until we can let the heart and soul transformation change, we will keep finding an emptiness in our physical efforts. This book is the best guide I've found in directing me towards how to do that! Definitely recommend.

Wellness Revelation by Alisa Keeton combines a workout inspiration and schedule plan with spiritual goals that you could combine in order to be less stressed, spiritually and physically fit. I didn't find this book very realistic though. A drums workout? Kickboxing? Who can afford to take those classes and buy the equipment?

I honestly expected this book to be more inspirational and simpler. Instead, it was making reference to living sacrifice and tearing flesh apart (page 213). This was heavy on Biblical quotes and pretty light
on physical fitness and reduction of stress. Just reading page 213 got me stressed. The fitness part seems relegated to a weird calendar stuck to the end of the book.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.

This book was very disappointing. It is filled with scripture out of context, applications for passages that don't make sense and endorses practices that can lead to mysticism. Ladies, we must be discerning in what we read. While I believe Alisa and her team love the Lord and they want to see God's people being fit and not in bondage to food, the misuse of scripture only leads women astray from the truth of His word.

Life-changing! As a fitness professional, I still struggle with overeating. "The Wellness Revelation" pointed me to fill my cravings in the Lord and be at peace with Him without using food as an emotional crutch. It not only helped me live more fully, but added value to my personal training business. I used the book as a guide for my clients, asking them the hard questions Alisa poses in the book. They have gained significant insight and freedom in their own lives, and I feel more empowered to help them as well. Thanks, Alisa!

I can't recommend The Wellness Revelation enough. This book is a game changer on so many levels. Just like anything coming from Alisa and the ministry Revelation Wellness, this book is more than just about food and working out. It will take you to new understanding of who God is and who He made us to be. It will usher you into a new freedom by facilitating meaningful conversations between you and the Lord regarding His love for you and desire for us to be whole and free in Christ. With incredible Bible study, access to Revelation Wellness workouts and well thought out food ideas, you will have every tool you need to walk in that freedom.
