I chose five stars because this book was easy addictive reading. The main character, London, was strong and yet scared in the most realistic every day issues kind of way that kept her relatable. Who isn't afraid of
love? Who doesn't experience fear of becoming a parent? This book wasn't a disappointment, I look forward to more readings from this Author.

I absolutely loved this book! I was hooked from the first page. I could not put this book now. It was so good I was sneaking in pages at work. I liked the main character and the story line was very intriguing. I will definitely recommend this book to everyone I know. I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.

London McKenna is a survivor of a madman who took chunks of her flesh, fried it, and ate it. The FBI agent who helped save her, questioned her, and got into her head to figure out what the madman was after, became her live-in boyfriend. When London finds an abandoned newborn baby girl--so newly born that the placenta was still attached to the child's umbilical cord--in the bathroom of a grocery store, she realizes that this is no ordinary abandoned child case. A high profile Senator takes a special interest in the case, and the child. Suddenly strange things start happening. A young woman whom London had placed in a high class, private rehabilitation clinic by requesting it of the judge on her case suddenly starts acting out, then disappears. The mysterious abandoned infant is almost kidnapped from the hospital NICU department by a young girl whom London assumes is the child's mother. Several disappearances from the same rehab clinic London placed her friend in surface, and the baby's actual mother turns up dead. This story has so many twists and turns and unexpected happenings from its characters, you do not know who or what to believe; the ending is one you never see coming. (Note: I reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.)

Hush Little Baby is the second Detective London McKenna book by Alex Hate. Bloody hell, I could not believe that the second book could be so much better and she simply broke my heart .... I cried so much and I despaired and I could not put the book down...

She is a wizard with words ... i love London, her grit, her pain, her conviction... she is the one person you'd want to take your case when you are in trouble...and James ... I'm so happy she has him ..

You will want to read the first book before reading this one AND make sure you have enough time as you will not be able to put it down ... I know that like me you will find you have to read the second one immediately so take a weekend! Plan well and don't be afraid, there will be a third book and hopefully more ...

Thank you Alex! I cannot wait until October!

Very well written, great characters, on the edge of your seat suspense, and a heroine who risks everything to solve the case! With bad guys that are practically untouchable, London has her work cut out for her and of course, is in over her head once again. Gates weaves an emotional tale that is full of suspense and heart-stopping action. The quotes from "Him" at the beginning of each chapter add a bit more of the creepy and I love the personal touch with the interactions between London and James. This series is fast becoming a favorite and I can't wait to see what's next for London McKenna.

A thrilling ride through the streets of police corruption, abuse and one woman's fight to stop it. A well plotted story with great characters and a heroine to admire.

I received an ARC of Hush Little Baby and this is my honest review.
