My daughter is looking forward to trying these recipes. She's had dishes others have made from the book before so will enjoy preparing them again. None of the recipes seem complex or use too many unusual ingredients.

I love that this cookbook explains the benefits of each recipe and when to have them. The superhero muffins are delicious and easy to make, and I also love the greek bison burgers. Can't wait to try more recipes!

I'm a veterinary student and avid distance runner (mostly half marathons with the annual full marathon). I've made a bunch of recipes from Shalane's book and haven't had a bad one! I'm not an experienced cook. I found her recipes easy to follow and doable. As a student, one of my absolutely FAVORITE things about her book is that most of her recipes can be frozen. I can make a double recipe and freeze the second batch of meatballs, burritos, muffins, etc and have homemade fast dinner later. Highly recommended!

I bought three of these books as gifts for friends of mine who run. They've all tried recipes and the reviews have been very good. Easy to prepare dishes, healthy, and delicious. You can't ask for much more than that!

Loving the idea of not counting calories, protein, etc and returning to healthy / clean eating.
Really like how she begins the book w/ stocking the kitchen (and why). Very helpful.

One of the best cookbooks around. It also is very educational and can reshape how you think about your body and the definition of refueling.
I have cooked over a dozen recipes from here and even if you modify them, the basis of the recipes is well worth the book!
Highly recommend to all types of athletes and coaches (especially high school coaches)!
