I enjoyed this book. Simon is a likeable character with his sheer determination and bravery. I liked ornery Boggs also. The story was nicely paced and hard to put down. If you look revenge, fighting, and humor this is the book for you. I'm definitely buying the sequel.

Good story and good characters. The place is unique and reminds me of the Old West. I recommend this one and hope there is more. I like the old mountain man. He reminds me of some of my old relatives.

Formerly I was a secondary teacher. While I found the storyline appropriate for the youthful audience, I am annoyed by the made up directions. Why not just use north, south, east and west? How does that help the reader feel they are in the situation? Other than that, I would compare this book to the Hobbit.
Six Epic Fantasy Novels (The Kobalos Trilogy - and The Horrors of Bond Trilogy) :: Protecting What's His (A Line of Duty Book 1) :: Baiting the Maid of Honor (Wedding Dare series) :: Too Hard to Forget (Romancing the Clarksons) :: Mark of Fire (The Endarian Prophecy Book 1)

A combination of stalwart youth and mountain man sprinkled with magic and wonder. Blended with discovery and a good bit of humor. I enjoyed the story, the pacing, the writing, and even the end. I will read more from this author. I recommend you do the same.

This read like an abridged epic novel focused on the protagonist and the struggles they encounter on their quest for vengeance.
The newly discovered continent of Mira has evolved differently from the mainland and is somewhat reminiscent of our history of New World discovery.

New World: a Frontier Fantasy Novel is an interesting, fast paced, witty read. I thoroughly enjoyed the created world, the growth of the main characters, the action and tension. I found the magic, in the form of created creatures and dreaming the future (prescience) folded seamlessly into the reality of the storyline. While more a novella in length, I was left wanting more. This book is definately being kept in my Kindle library. Steve White is an up and coming new writer to keep an eye on.

I lovewesterns, frontier stories, and fantasies. This book combines them into a well written, comical, exciting, and highly entertaining adventure. I read this kindle book in no time because I couldn't put it down.

Picked this book up as a freebie from Bookhub and was very pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed how the grammar changed depending on who's point of view you were reading. Pleasant coming of age read. Looking forward to book 2!

A quite enjoyable read. Creative creatures and endearing characters make this book Ann exciting adventure. It is really refreshingly unique. Not at all like the same old tales usually found in such books. I would highly recommend this book.

IMO, There were some good things and some overkill. The main characters are well developed, believable and the plot was interesting. Conversely, there were too many different types of fantasy creatures. Trite, but true, sometimes less is more. The author has a creative mind and hopefully will continue to write.
