I enjoyed this one. Strong heroine who has been taking care of a young sister for so long, a sexy alpha male with a dirty mouth....what's not to love!
The plot is not in depth being that it's a short story but you do get to see character development and feel the chemistry. No doormat here ladies and gentlemen! My kind of book.

Really loved this from Tessa Bailey and from what I can tell this is her first effort. Doesn't read like it was written by a novice writer. Great dialogue between the H/h and I like the heroines to be strong. Ginger certainly is. Great heat between them and so sexy together. Also loved the sister and have a feeling she will be getting her own book. Just a terrific story and a great start for Ms. Bailey. Well done!!!

This book was fantastic with a capital F. Tessa did a wonderful job with writing this book Ladies you are going to drop your panties for Lt. Derek Tyler, yes indeed. the storyline will have u captivated that you will not want to put the book down. Great job by Tessa again, I look forward to reading more of her books.

Really good, really easy to get into. To be completely honest this is probably a 3.5 star but I bumped it up. I loved the story I think it could have been longer, with a bit more character development. But what was here was good and definitely made me want more. I am looking forward to reading the next book.

A Line of Duty series opening was entertaining, engaging and super hawt. Derek and Ginger's story was a quick read but I didn't feel ripped off. I definitely felt like I got bang for my $$$. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

OMG, this was just an amazing read, deserve more than the 5 stars!!! You rock Tessa Bailey, you've become one of my favourite author. This book has a very hot alpha, protective and dirty talking cop who would do anything to protect his woman and the sex scenes are off the charts hot!!

Amazing book by this first author and I am looking forward to many more books by her. Loved her strong hero and heroine, the sexual chemistry and the dialogue has made this story one of my favorite of this year. Who does not love a hot cop? I would recommend buying this and you will not regret

The three books, I read backwards. Ild like to know in the description which comes first "the chicken or the egg" no but SERIOUSLY GOOD STORY! All three. The humor. The s#!tty childhood was sad, and I felt for these two smart and insightful young ladies!LOVED IT ALL!!!

I have read this story several times!!!! I love the characters and the way they interact with each other. I am in love with Derek and his protective yet loving nature. I have bought all of the books in this series and I have no doubt that they will all be as great as this one was!!!!

Tessa Bailey is becoming one of my favorite authors. I really enjoyed this book about Ginger and Derek. I had a lump in my throat several times feeling both their pain. Can't wait to read more of this series.

Tessa is one talented writer her DOMINANT officer and his faar from spitfire heroine make a story so worth reading. Definitely a must read! Too good to pass up and get ready for the laugh out load moments. BUY IT!

Good book. The chemistry between Ginger and her sexy cop, Derek is hot!!! Her sister Willa is hilarious with such a smart mouth. Enjoyed seeing Ginger and Derek fall in love, and glad that both girls got their happy endings that they deserved. Nice quick enjoyable read.

Reminiscent of the writings of Kristen Ashley with regards to the strong,'silent, alpha male Derek. This is a great story with angst, steam (oh yeah!), and a little bit of Intrigue wrapped up in a tidy little bow. I look fwd to reading more of this series. 4.5 stars!

This book was recommended to by a Goodreads author who very much new my taste in New Adult. The scenes had me fanning myself. The build up of tension was very believable as was the angst. I am a fan and will complete the series.

This story earned five stars because it was a short fun steamy read. He is an alpha type and she is spunky. The spark between them is palpable and even though somewhat predicable I loved this story, it is a fantastic guilty pleasure!! OH and a stand alone!!

Ginger and Derek's chemistry is real explosive from the word go - "lust at first sight"! The funny, serious, steamy, vulnerable moments between the endearing Ginger and the dirty mouthed gentleman ensured that I kept turning the pages of this light, fun read.

I absolutely loved PROTECTING WHAT'S HIS. I fell completely in love with the three main characters: Ginger, Derek and Willa. I enjoyed Derek's dominant side and I also enjoyed his sweet, caring and vulnerable side. The banter between Ginger and Derek was hilarious and the sex scenes between them had the perfect amount of sexiness and love. I look forward in reading more books by Tessa Bailey.

If you are looking for something light, but not memorable to read, then try this book. I'm not saying it's a bad book, just that it doesn't offer anything out of the ordinary, apart from a few very steamy scenes. Enjoy!

I loved this sooooooooo much! Derek is exactly what a macho man is and not for the feminist at heart for sure, but exactly what this woman loves, growl! Leave the castrated men for the Gloria Steinem types, give me Clint Eastwood anytime!

Derek and Ginger were a great couple. Great story hopefully they make one of Willa and Evan to see if they really made it has a couple. But Derek and Ginger were my favorite couple. Derek was just so over protective and Sexy I loved it.

The title says it all! Derek protects Ginger no matter what happens. The story showing how they both change was incredible and I love everything about it. One thing I enjoyed was how it really got into Gingers personality.

This was a fast, sexy read. Derek was possessive, domineering, and pure alpha male. Ginger was stubborn, independent, and guarded. Together they were awesome. I loved their story of many ups and downs.

Tessa Bailey's first in the Line of Duty series. Thankfully, it's not her last. This author writes sexy dominant cops like no one else, and like her characters, she leaves her readers begging for more!
