Once again, I didn't expect the Bearenstein Bears to prove so useful but this sweet story about how the bears pull out of the cave to move to their treehouse went over well. I was able to show my son our new home that's outmoded and in need of renovations and repairs which helped him to cut through the scary/ugly home in front of him and envision a better place for us once the work is/was done. Granted, my child's also seen us remodel a few rooms in our present house but this book really helped encapsulate the old life v. new life in a totally different environment. We appreciated the tale and we'll keep reading it until we're settled in.

Berenstain Bears have always been a childhood favorite of mine, and has become a favorite of my two kiddos as well. We were preparing to move to a knew city and I noticed that my little ones were pretty hesitant about moving to a new place. The thing that's great about the Berenstain Bears books are that they address real life situations and help children and parents work through them together. I knew I needed to search for a Berenstain Bears book about moving to ease their anxiety, and I found just the book! With the store's great prices and two-day shipping I got this book quickly and read it to my kids quite a few times. It definitely eased their worries and they began to get excited about our new moving adventure!

Too wordy with a complicated story line. The pictures flip from one scene and back to the next without understandable progression for a three year old. It would be good for a child over 5 in my opinion.

We are currently getting ready to move, and I have kept this book close by with our 3 1/2 year old. The book just does a really nice job of explaining moving, whether near or far away (both are applicable, I think).... and have answered many questions our daughter has had, such as, "Will I get to bring my toys and my books?" and discussions with regard to whether she will see her friends or not (we aren't moving too far, so she will).

I will also add that this book, unlike some other Berenstain Bears books, portrays Papa bear in a good light. Some of the books are terrible about making Papa look like a complete idiot and buffoon- which is NOT a message I want to encourage with my children. But this book does not do that.

If you are moving-- I would recommend this book for preschool-age kiddos. :)

I love this book because it has Brother Bear when he was a cub. It tells us about where they lived when Brother was a cub. They have to move because their plants aren't growing and they need food for their family. They wanted to live in the Treehouse and Brother wanted to bring his friends. But they can't fit in a box. But Brother wasn't so sure he wanted to live in a Treehouse. Will he have any friends there, or not? If you want a Bears book, you've got to read this book!...Robbie A.

It was about a bear family loving where they live including their friends and home. But the soil for growing vegetables was hard and rocky so they decided to move well papa and mama bear. When they found a place to move it needed a little bit of work but they managed what it would look like and they got new friends and a new home and a new place to grow vegetables. It was a very good book and I would read it again if I had to but its not something I would read again by choice. It teaches kids what ever you do something good will come of it eventually.ages 3-8

This book is set before the bear family has moved into the tree house. It tells about why they are mvoing and how sad brother is but how he does have even more fun when they get to their new house.
If you have read any of the story books in this series you know how great of books they are. I suggest this book for any kids who loves great book!
