Great fast read. I recommend reading the 1st 3 books in the series to get the full back story. I wish the ending had been longer and in greater detail. However that is the only thing I would change. I beg SL to continue the series. Sign up for email updates on SL's website.

Loved Roses/Poppies story. Always wanted to know what was really going on with Rose and her crazy parents now I know. I especially loved how the author tackled a very difficult subjust(cutting). My daughter did this in her teens and until we went see a therapist and a psychiatrist I never knew that it existed or why they do it. Thanks for tackling such a taboo subject and thanks for sharing who Rose really is.

Rose is quite an incredible read. Syndey's talented writing makes you feel like the story is unfolding before your eyes. I'm a huge fan of the Pierced series. It's very real and full of emotions.
This is the story of the pain Rose endured during her life and how she dealt with that pain in secret. She also meets someone that will help change the way she handles and sees the world. Let's not forget about the romance!!! 5 star steamy and romantic, every girls dream!

This was a beautiful story. I wasn't expecting Rose's secret, and it made the story very real and dear to me, as I have struggled with the same thing in the past. I usually don't like first person romance novels, but Sydney Landon does a good job by not writing them filled with immature thoughts and characters, which is unfortunately so popular right now. I hope she continues this series with Aidan!

Not readable. There was something terribly wrong with this book. On my kindle, the story was messed up every time I turned the page. Half the time words or sections were missing, other times sections repeated. But clearly the bigger problem was the missing sections. I gave up after a while.

thought rose would be more upbeat and take charge, was surprised at the seriousness of this book because of her character protryal in the trilogy books of pierced...it was a good read tho and brings up a subject that is sometimes ignored

This was an absolute wonderful book. I recommend the entire series. This is one of those series that you want to make sure you have all of them because you won't want to stop reading until finished, even then you will want more.

Rose and Max are inevitable, but circumstance throws them together and they can't let go. I've always loved Rose's character, she is feisty. It's all a wall and hers comes crashing down. Max is on a path that leads directly to her. They save each other and I loved every minute of this story.

What a great addition to an already great series. I loved reading about Max and Rose and learning about their pasts and what lead them to each other. These two truly do save each other. I would recommend this book to everyone. This is a standalone but I would definitely recommend reading Lucian and Lia's stories first just to get to know all the characters that are in this book.
