Weekends Required is one of the best books I have ever read! It is captivating and I could not put the book down! Claire is my favorite character. She is simple and plain. I read this book in one day! I was so interested and just as soon as I finished this book, I bought Not Planning on You! Both books are great! They have a great story behind them and I would reccomend them to anyone!

Loved this well written office romance! I particularly loved that the sex scenes where wonderful without being unrealistic. The connection between Jason and Claire was so sweet. It also helps that I am a Gamecock alum and Jason wore a USC t-shirt. I highly recommend this novel. I would go as far to say I enjoyed it more than "50 Shades of Grey"!!!!

I stumbled upon this book while searching for something to occupy myself (and my imagination!) after reading the Fifty Shades of Grey series.... This book did not disappoint! The story line is one that many of us have found ourselves in at one point (well, maybe not the jumping out of cakes at bachelor parties bit) and Claire's character was easy to connect with. Once I finished I was already researching what other Sydney Landon books I could read... I am now anxiously awaiting the 3rd book in the Danvers Series!!!

Just read Fifty Shades trilogy and was looking for another love story. This book has a similar story line without the detailed sex in every chapter. The book is well written and couldn't put it down. I recommend this book!

I'm seriously dumbfounded at how this book has so many good reviews. The writing is incredibly amateurish, the characters are ridiculously one-dimensional, the dialogue is ludicrous... If the story had been halfway decent, maybe the poor writing wouldn't have been so obvious. I'm not one of those sticklers who slams authors for a few typos or grammatical errors. It wasn't, though. The back story was spoon-fed and over-explained, the dialogue was written like a middle school essay (conjunctions, anyone??), even the inner dialogue of the characters read like they were British butlers, there were constant contradictions in character development (the heroine was so "shy" she'd never worn a two-piece bathing suit but we're supposed to believe she takes a job jumping out of a cake in lingerie??? Seriously???) I rarely fail to finish a book no matter how bad it is, but I'm about a third of the way through this and I just can't torture myself any longer. I've read several self-published books that, although they lacked proper editing, I enjoyed immensely. The writing here was nowhere near the level I would expect, even for self-published work.

I was intrigued by the good reviews and desperate for something in the event I lost power during Hurricane Isaac. Considering it was only $2.99 I said what the heck. I only finished it for above said reasons regarding the Hurricane. What a contrived, lame, ridiculous story. The diaglogue was so ridiculous I frequently asked myself if this book was written in the eighties. Who uses the words "hot buns", "bumping uglies" etc??? No character development, no relationship development, no brains in this book. What a waste.

I really enjoyed Weekends Required! Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down, finished it in one night :) Just bought the second one and am really looking forward to it. Love Jason's character, sensitive but hot too! A few dialog sections in the book need revised, but don't let that stop you from a great read!

I came across Weekends Required while searching for a new book to read. After reading only a few pages,I was hooked. Great characters and exciting plot made it very difficult to put down. I would highly recommend this book for others who may be looking for an exciting love story. I have just downloaded Not Planning on You. Can't wait to get started and hope it's as good as Weekends Required.

I started reading this book this morning and I just finished it. If that doesn't tell you I loved it, nothing will. An addictive read, once you start , you can't put it down. Thanks Sydney for the juicy entertainment.

This story was average, and probably the worst of the last ~20 books I've read.

There were aspects of the story that were okay, I did like Claire and found her to be relatable. However the storyline was far too rushed. You dont really get a sense of connection between the two of them. Plus everything seems to just all work out at the end, with no real challenge or hurdle to overcome; it came too easily.

I guess for a short romance novel it ticks all the boxes. For me it needed more depth to be really likeable.

This was an enjoyable romance!

Claire finds that she must split her weekend between her day job as the assistant to the CEO of the company, with her weekend job jumping out of cakes at VIP parties! Unfortunately, for her after jumping out of the cake this weekend she comes face to face with her boss.

Jason, the CEO of Danvers International is suddenly noticing his assistant after 3 years of working together. She especially becomes noticeable when she jumps out of a cake at the bachelor party of his best friend. He immediately decides that she is required to work weekends for him.

Claire is upset about this new work requirement because she uses the additional money that she makes doing the VIP parties, to help take care of her mother and her mother's medical expenses.

Jason soon learns the reason that Claire is working these VIP parties, and tries to step in and help Claire without her knowledge, unfortunately Claire does find out and is more upset then Jason could have ever expected, because of her past with her deceased father (you will need to read the book to find out what that is all about).

Can Claire get over her past, can Jason provide Claire with more than just his money? I really suggest that you read this book and find out. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. This was my first book from this author and I do look forward to reading more.

I bought this book on the overwhelming number of great reviews. I barely made it through the book. The characters are very one-dimensional. They are like cardboard cutouts with very little depth. The grammar is awful. The book will switch from present to past tense, from one paragraph to the next. I can overlook the grammar if the story is great, but the story could not hold my interest, and the book was a mess from start to finish. I cannot fathom how this is so highly rated, but I find it very hard to believe that anyone that isn't a friend or family member of the author gave this book 5 stars. Save your money.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very sweet and the characters were interesting and had strong relationships between them. I wouldn't say it is your typical boss/secretary romance even though that is their relationship at the beginning of the book. She is obviously important to Jason's success and she is treated much more like an assistant than a secretary. Jason is incredibly sweet, thoughtful and really just wants to take care of everyone he sees as important to himself and his company. There were a few writing issues such as excssive use of contractions and the conversation in the early chapters seemed too formal for me, but this is not enough for me to lower my five star rating because in the end the book is just too good and I prefer to overlook these minor issues. I strongly recommend this book and can't wait for the next one.

Good story line and everything seemed to flow nicely. This book was a fast read and easy to get lost in. I find it hard to believe that she worked for him for 3 years and he never so much as looked at her. I do recommend this book though!
