I absolutely loved this 3rd book in the Grayslake series. A great story of family, love, heartache, and of course, bears. I did not expect some of the twists and turns this book took. I cannot wait until Isaac' s story comes out. I definitely recommend this book!

this was a very serious book, i thought. there were little rays of light but this mainly dealt with the prejudices of the shifters and anger from the past. it was well put together and a good read. if you want happy go lucky read another of her books. the characters showed their flaws in this story and had to face their mistakes.

This is the third book in the Grayslake series. I found much of the story predictable and some of the reasoning convoluted.

The male protagonist is well developed and very likeable. The female protagonist was almost as well developed but hampered by self doubt.

One of my problems with the story was that, more than once, we are told that shifters can sniff out lying; however, at a critical point in the story none of the shifters present do this. We are told that a shifter has changed her testimony given several years in the past yet no one calls for her presence.

Another issue for me was that the antagonist, who had reason to hate the female protagonist, abides by the law of visitation for over 20 years while a some of the relatives of the male protagonist cannot abide by it for 12 hours. Also, later in the story the antagonist cannot wait out the 24 hours called for by the law of preparation even though he is apparently winning.

The above gave me the impression that the author was dropping selected rules she created earlier in the story merely for the sake of plot development.

The Grayslake bear clan is working on completing the purge of hyenas in the area. But what happens when one of those hyenas is the true mate to one of the Abrams brothers?
Trista has been on the run her whole life. Illegitimate daughter to the local hyena pack's alpha, she half animal, half human. Never accepted by the pack, she and her mother skirted the territories and tried to stay one step ahead of the laws. Now that her mother is gone, Trista continues her miserable existence, forced to remain in a place where she is constantly hunted.
When Keen first spots her, he doesn't know what to think. Yes, he can smell the animal on her, and he should hate her for the damage her kind did to his family. But he scents something else. Mate. If he claims her, though, everything in his life will change.
Trista and Keen do not have an easy ride to their HEA. Twining into their story is the continuing Grayslake saga, as we revisit old characters and meet new ones.

Received an ARC of More Than Mated Grayslake 1-5

This was a good addition to the series, and I loved Keen and his slightly psycho bear, but I never really connected to Trista. I'm not sure what the issue was. She was strong, independent, had a painful past but I just couldn't seem to click with her. Maybe it was just the fact she was part hyena and I don't find them particularly interesting. This may not have been a "must read" for me in this series but I'm glad I got to spend the time with Keen so it was far from a waste of my time.

This was definitely one of the most intense and gut-wrenching shifter romance novel that I read. I totally did not see the development of this plot coming. It did not follow the usual pattern of romance books, and I found it refreshing. Celia again developed characters that I fell absolutely in love with - Trista and Keen. While also making me also rethink some of my love for Keen's brothers which were featured in the two prior books. Celia had me crying and laughing. It was rollercoaster of emotions. For someone who absolutely hates roller coasters I would definitely ride this one again.
